- I feel like PARKER from GOLD RUSH trying to maximize every moment of our quickly ending season - by running our processing machines at FULL THROTTLE! Viewers of this show have been after us to put the hopper down far enough that the Volvo Dump Truck can dump directly into the it. Being short handed today is the opportunity I have been looking for to dig it deep. This Volvo A40G can hold about 25 lbs of Pay Dirt and moves across the site easily. The only issue is .. I'm pretty certain my processing machines can't handle that much pay all at once. This is season 2, episode 22!
For those of you who don't know...
"#youtubegold" is a 100% canadian #parody of the popular Gold Shows we see on TV such as #goldrush, yukon gold and others.. Yes, we are mining real gold.. and yes, we are full grown men using tiny machines to mine the gold. We are currently in the Second Season, and this is episode 21.
There is irony in all of what you see..is most of this show is all choreographed. THiS IS THE INTERNET.. Do not believe everything you see..! heh...
Almost all scenarios are staged, acting out our characters, comedy.. etc.. In fact, we are not even working for efficiency, as we are a group of hobbyists who are more interested in entertaining our audience.. than "actually getting gold". Being an RC show, we use as many RC's as possible to achieve this. Again, all we are doing is goofing off for a good Saturday of fun.
A few of the things that are not staged is our friendship, the laughter, camaraderie, and of course.. THE GOLD! (Yes, it's real pay dirt). The true Gold is the experience we get as friends, what we hope the viewers get watching a group of goofballs entertain them with some very cool toys. One mans hobby, is another's entertainment on TH-cam!

I dont know if someone has already said this but not only is this fun to watch but imagine if schools incorporated this type of training in classes. we could strengthen our work force so fast and so much. You guys ROCK this is so awesome.

As of today, TH-cam Gold has collected gold in the amount of 2.56 ounces which equates to $3861.99 USD in value. Not too bad for a bunch of RC equipment. Nearly to the point he can buy another 1/14 mining dump truck. Only needs about another 1.75 ounces. Goals. 😝

@@bunkblount It's an RC show so a full size excavator wouldn't make sense, and we're more about the fun than the gold.

When you did the conveyer camera shot right after rookie loaded the rock you could see a gold nugget on the conveyer!

If I can make a suggestion, I know that safety is your #21 concern but if your going to keep the hopper set up for the Volvo to unload into your putting a lot of pay dirt and expensive machinery at risk, so might want to build up a solid lip (a stopper if you will) on the ground within reach of the truck just in front of the mouth of the hopper for the truck to back into so that none of your guys back over the top of it. You might also consider putting up a V shaped fence with the mouth of the hopper being the base of the V to help guide the guys back directly to the mouth of the hopper then they shouldn't miss the hopper costing you any of that precious pay dirt you so painstakingly dig up.

Wow. I never knew there was or that i would watch rc mining, but i dare say its as entertaining as the real deal.
The rock truck dumping into the hopper was so awesomely life like.
Hope we see a grader next season. Would help trucks and other machinery get around the mine. And would clearly define the roads around the mine by leaving the wind rowes on the sides of the roads. Plus if you get one with a rock pusher on the front of the gradee you wouldn't have to track dozers half way around the mine to push rocks.

If the white hopper convayer was slower than the other two goin to little red it shouldn't of clogged up but at least when short handed you know it works.

I love using the Volvo! I think that is an excellent way to do it, my suggestion would be dump it on the ground in front of the machine, then use the bulldozer to feed the machine slowly but certainly faster than the front end loader ever could do.
I think you might be able to find a nice mix where you can speed everything up without overburdening the systems.

Great to see the Volvo pushing the rest of the plant to keep up. So good to see innovation in site layout and design. Best episode in a while. Now just want to see the night shift edition. Would be fun to see you guys try a marathon session and try to run the mine for 24 hours straight. A lot could go wrong! And how about installing some sort of shelter over the top of the mine so you guys don't get rained on in future?
