- As the 2020 Health Crisis and Quarantine efforts rage on in Canada, #YTG2020 BULLDOZES FORWARD! Season 3, Episode 2 reminds me a lot of Season 1, Episode 4, where Sluicebox Steve and I were working on the original retaining wall, that we viciously rip out today. Amazing to think of how far the mine-site has come during the last several years. Today Crazy Bob gives me some hassle about wearing his hard hat,. and we have to come to an understanding. And again, the curse of the YTG weather gives me the spring time challenges.. but I have been working hard on the wooden roads and have quite a few meters already secured. The Volvo Rock truck is worked overtime, as my excavators and loaders are clearing dirt from the deeper fresh water pond and sediment pond I have been digging. MORE capacity and more areas for silt to settle are needed - but before ANY of that can happen, the failing retaining wall needs to be replaced.
Using several pieces of heavy duty Hydraulic radio controlled equipment, we (well, I am - Bob is more a true Foreman), able to dig out the retaining wall, rip if from the foundation and then dig out a MASSIVE wall of dirt, before BEEFING UP the muscle on NEW retaining wall. Now featuring giant slabs of wood, and even more strength, I have made this wall to last for years to come.

Yes, I am mining real gold.. and yes, normally, there is a full team here of full grown men using tiny machines to mine the gold. There is irony in all of what you see.. and of course.. it's all choreographed. THiS IS THE INTERNET.. #Canadian Do not believe everything you see.. Hah!

Still trying to decide which is my favorite machine , but I think it's the bulldozer. At 63 pounds of power and aggression, it really gets the scale RC blood pumping to see it in action. The Kobelco excavator is a close second, just for the looks alone !! Keep up the good work, you are making a lot of people happy !!
That dozer makes everything seem so EASY.. and its SOOOO Heavy!! Its the heaviest out of all my machines (other than 1:1)

The mine site is shaping up nicely. It's nice to see the newer equipment in use at the site. Nice to hear the humor at the site even though everyone is not there. I hope that it's not much longer before the crew can get together and start finding gold again.
On a side note, hearing all the sound kits you use has urged me to order one for my Wraith. I started with the RTR version and I have already added the RC4WD 2 speed transmission, upgraded the steering servo, installed all aluminum suspension and steering links with aluminum servo horns on both servos. I had been away from the RC hobby for a while and I apparently had forgotten how addictive parts of it can be and how much money can be spent on upgrades and accessories. UGH
It's not like anybody has forced me to do it. LOL

Great video. A little loader trick. If you need more tractive effort, ie weight, get a full loaded bucket of heavy material, then make your pull. Another thought is on the wall. You could use cable tie backs from near the top of the wall to dead-man stakes, or pipes, 5' back from the wall. Keep up the great videos, and keep safe.

Hi there guys nice to see you back on the tube. I've really missed you all. Glad to see you're all well. I've been busy building a 1/8th scale caravan with my wife Lisa over the last 10wks or so. Think it would look good on your site as maybe crew canteen lol. I've enclosed some pictures for you to look at what we did. I'm going to buy a 1/8th scale 110 land rover to pull it. Which I will show you hooked up when it arrives. The van is 99%finished now, just the stripes to apply now and it's finished. Anyway glad you all came out safe and well.
