Bang followed by complete chaos as battery plant fire claims 23 lives

On June 24th, a devastating fire broke out at a lithium battery production plant in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province. KOREA NOW obtained CCTV footage of the moment the first battery exploded which led to the inferno.

Yes, hence why it’s important for car manufacturers to have their battery suppliers test and verify battery health before installation. Samsung learned this the hard way with their note 7( or 6? ) and raised their battery standards.
Electric vehicles are less likely to catch fire than ICE vehicles. Even in crashes.
