You Know You're Right by Nirvana remixed from their October 23rd, 1993 performance at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois. I have remixed both this song and entire show before, but I have learned a lot since then so I wanted to redo it and this has also been highly requested. I panned the guitars, increased the drums significantly, increased the bass, and evened out the vocals. This was the only live performance of You Know You're Right.

I'm surprised they played it at all tbh. At this time bootlegs were rife, playing it live, rather than just at sound check, was like giving it away. Especially as it's clearly in an early stage of creation.

I don't suppose it's possible to pull out just the bass part from all this mess lol.
But I would love to really compare it to the studio version because I think that's part of the reason the groove feels so different is because we're either dropping bass notes in the recording itself or Krist is like...picking less. Or it's a slightly different line. Or I'm wrong.
The song is pretty similar structurally to the "final" result but it still feels so different (and better) to me.

It's hard to tell listening to the bass soloed from this performance, the bass is really broken up since the recording isn't the best quality.

@@elitetoaster Thanks! That's what I figured, it's funny how maybe it has a different groove to me because certain frequencies are getting messed with!
Combo of the equipment and probably the acoustics, I heard that place sounded like sh*t, actually. However, I have never been myself so who knows.
Regardless, I wish we knew who the taper was, total hero.
