You KNOW BBTV should thank GOD & the universe that this footage EVEN EXISTS instead of complaining about 2024 quality standards 30 years later!! FULL footage FREE on your device!! DUH!!
I read a while ago that after this show Kurt was furious about the bad sound he had especially his out of tune guitar and he fired "Craig montgomery" his sound engineer since the "Bleach" era is there after this show in ahead, "Big John Duncan" joins the team to take charge of the guitar and sound.
The guitar/amp does sound plinky here, but Kurt's mediocre performance of HSB on SNL was his own doing. He flubbed up the intro and it was downhill from there.
I mean that’s what Pat Smear was for. But if you’re paying a guy to be in practically the biggest band in the world at the time and you can’t even hear him then what gives? Pretty bad mistake on the sound guy’s part but when you’re live that kinda shit happens. I think Craig (engineer) ended up blaming the studios for part of the flub. Not that surprising considering Saturday night live has had a history of screwups far worse than this one.
Dave is just killing it for these. Total beast. Makes sense that that they’d just play it exactly like they would if they were live. Something died when this band died, and I haven’t seen or heard it since, sadly.
Would be cool to see a new band with Krist and Dave, and with someone who's unlike Kurt in ways yet someone who could fly as high creatively and with as wide a vocal sound range (tone, not range range). Don't know who that would be though honestly. Someone who's not secretly deep inside going to be thinking they are the new kurt. The idea would just be to get that amazing rhythm section back on the jams man they had something special going all 3 of them, quite the chemistry. They balanced eachother out quite beautifully. I guess i could have voted for Chris Cornell to be in that spot... but damn man now he's gone as well. They could have been a good match, IF all of them were to be into that idea in the first place. Mark arm, Frank Black, Michael Stipe, all great interesting signers but not quite it. Actually, now that I think of it, maybe PJ Harvey could pull it off. Kim Deal? Idk
Also I like Kurt on the right side of the stage, so the guitar necks point toward each other. And the curve on the offset of most of his guitars rounds out the stage. Everything frames Dave better. Personal opinion and not that important.
URGENT MESSAGE!! (It needed to be ME instead of Pat because I fill the holes with color better than anyone in history AND do HIGH harmony says.....) Rage me! Then Gage me and made me before slipping in the word slurred except for the big finish👍😉

Just seeing Krist and Kurt discussing Kurt's guitar at 23:12 like buddies is cool
Wow 30 years
Dave like, "Oh, I thought this was the real performance."
Thes are great! They are just amazing! The energy/power is incredible. Wish i could have Seen them live.
imagine that you whistle to the band that "start guys!" and the band is nirvana. that technician had the best time of his life there
Not necessarily :)
This footage was on Napster back in the day.

Better version of HSB than the live broadcast.

I'll do it!
На фига дядьку этого столько снимать с начала, банду снимать нужно было, эххх
This guitar is so sick. Did the Nirvana guitar guy do this one?
