      Yeah, that was my thought, exactly. My grandma, daughter of a traditional country-healer, always told me, nervous stomach&gut issues one has to solve by oneself, testing traditional stomach-remedies one after the other for a month, excluding all other foods, until you find the right one for your specific problem.
      My grandmum found apple-vinegar before meals, though her mother alays insisted on dandelion-salad, my father dropped all cowsmilk and because he had also liver issues switched to golden millet and lentils instead of corns, my mum hates millet and swears on curd. I did well by simply not eating in the evening and drinking cheese poplar before bed. My doctor gave me gut-bacterias and some pills, I think was L-Lysine, and that helped, too. But not eating in the afternoon and skipping alcohols did the trick.

      It's not just gastrointestinal doctors. I have been to several doctors that are significantly less informed that I am on the subject im experiencing. My mother and step father and aunts have all have perfectly similar negative experiences. Don't get me started with pain doctors and hormone replacement centers.... you have 2 kinds of doctors.... ones that will give you such a ridiculously small dose that it isn't even close to effective, or the 2nd type of doctor will give you a huuuuuuuge dose and is basically just catering to abusers. You have one doctor fighting tooth and nail to make sure NO ONE gets the medicine they need because 3% of people are abusing it, and then you have the doctor that is getting rich off people abusing drugs and has no concern about your personal health and if you're not informed on your own they can end up doing very harmful things to you.

    • @bassman3212
      @bassman3212 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@travelreview5962 I totally agree.
      It’s definitely not just gastrointestinal doctors. And yeah they are almost always less informed than me on whatever chronic illness I’m going in for. I’ve honestly learned more on Reddit subs and other people who are dealing with the same issues than any doctor could tell me. I even cancelled my insurance because how disgusted I was with the medical industry.

      Loder's style was then prevalent. Sound biting wasn't *as* vogue. '90s communication was more drawn out, not in the number of syllables used in each word (Gen Y), but, rather, the number of words in a paragraph (like here...).
      Loder was preceded by Dick Cavett, Tom Snyder, and Donahue. Jerry Rivers came later and helped usher in an increasingly sensationalist media arena. Rivers was tame compared to the interviewers that popped up, and even he didn't sound bite much. That was for Orpah Winfrey (although her sound biting was always pleasant!) Jerry Springer and Maury Povich (their sound biting was not). Although not initially, Montell Williams also brought in mansplaining to underage females. Every episode was him playing big daddy. He helped bring in what you accurately comment on.

I have a band with bad ass songs but no one gives a shit cause we are not famous. I recall reading a story that Nirvana played at a club in my hometown where 15-20 people showed up and 6 months later after nevermind came out they were playing the cow place in SFO after the big labels pushed the hell outta of this band (i.e. massive media exposure, in showbiz they call this blowing up a band through marketing and advertising). I always felt the same way for such a long time. But I realized we still have the music, the albums, the art, the DVDs , the bootlegs, etc. Nirvana's legacy will forever live on. They still are very much relevant in this world. I always felt like Kurt was so ahead of his time with his style, his art, his writings, music, and his intelligence. RIP Kurt Donald Cobain. Gone, but not forgotten. He lives in the hearts of the fans, friends, and family.

    This is the first time I’ve seen this interview in years and I am struck by how calming this is. It’s oddly comforting and soothing to listen to. And it makes me cry a little bit too, looking back to that time. As the years pass, I talk to other people my age about how me and my friends skipped school and listened to music the day the news broke about his death. We were in the middle of Texas. And without the internet connecting us at the time, I find more people who did the same thing, grieved in the same ways. It’s kinda cool.

      Jim Carroll had the same sort of presence. Instead of distorting music he saw you and the rest through distorted perceptions and painted the air with some magic and real danger of the streets echoing as poems. And like music he brings about a change in the air. That seems to swallow/posses the human. Attaining visions he once could never have imagined.

      @zephyra sorry you didn't understand. Do heroin. Then come back and read it. I guess?

    • @SyNKevN
      @SyNKevN 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @zephyra lol, I know you are trolling, but in all seriousness, for those who don't understand addiction. It's a lack of spirituality. You are broken, and habitual drug use is a symptom of this, while it becomes a massive problem in itself, if you can find a purpose in life, something bigger than you, and you can heal, the drugs will not appeal to you snymore.
      Most think that drug addicts are just scared of the withdrawals. Hell no, post acute withdrawal is much worse, it's as if there's an infinite void that you can never fill, even the drugs themselves end up being not enough and that's when things really start to go south.
      I don't believe in a God, or rather, the God of the people, and when you go into recovery, God is pushed so hard, and if it does not resonate with you, you will relapse....
      Continue trolling, as you will...

    Just like fibromyalgia…I love this man. I wish he was still here. So many of us who are so chronically sick would adore him. Still adore him. He was so sick…my heart.
