When Lifeway aka Holman entered the premium space with the first CSB VbV Wide Margin, it was a breath of fresh air. When they expanded the line into the Holman Handcrafted Collection, it was clear they were in it for the long haul. As the Collection unfolded one thing stood out, each bible was very different from the previous. Different construction choices, different liners, different goatskins. This but of unpredictability frustrated some, but is it truly a problem? Let’s take a closer look at the Collection so far (this review does not include the KJV Single Column because that has project been delayed). "Jarring" yellow paper?! How dare you! I love the Ancient Faith SB too. The red accents, decorative drop caps, CREAM COLORED paper, and of course the notes are awesome. Great point about the spines needing more information.
How interesting. I’ve got the Ancient Faith and Verse by Verse. The Ancient Faith is just beautiful. When you open it and lie it flat, the art gilding along the sides looks amazing. It looks striped with all the different colours thrown up by the different pages. A really beautiful bible and I love the creamy coloured pages, interior design and content. 😊🇦🇺🙏
I would imagine it's kind of difficult to source materials and have them be consistent in the number of Bibles that they produce. These are excellent looking Bibles however they are a couple of clicks above
I have an HCSB in super large print - those ones you showed are a bit useless (for me!) because the print is so small - they don't do me any good if I can't see them - I would totally buy one if in super large print
It would be interesting to see if as far as the CSB Study Bible goes if it is consistent construction wise across that particular product. I wonder if that was a mistake or they actually did that for strength
If you are meaning the personal sized, I love it. I have it in both blue leather and brown goatskin. No one beats the Premier Collection for the price.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews No it’s not that one, its compact (not personal) and single column. Maybe you haven’t seen it before but it looks quite good and I’m considering it
You're comparing single instances of different study bibles against each other. If you really want to check for consistency, you should buy about 10 HHC Ancient Faith Study Bibles and see if those 10 are consistent. Then, once you're done, send one to me (and 9 other subs... I guess). 😋
I’ve actually had more than one copy of a few of these at one point or another. They are all consistent within themselves. But many are looking for consistency among the entire collection. That doesn’t happen here. Not a bad thing quality wise, but it can lead to buyer frustration, thus the need to point it out…and…I am preparing for what is shaping up to be an INSANE Christmas giveaway. Stay tuned!

I like that they are different; when books were actually hand made they were like that as well.
Love the reviews you obviously put in a lot of work
Thanks!

I am only repeating what others have said in that instance. But note I said I love it. 😏

Thomas Nelson manages to keep it very consistent and what I would guess is an even greater number considering they host three translations.

They are all pretty much the same. As least the ones I’ve compared.
It have king dictionary of the kjv
What do you think of Thomas Nelson NKJV compact single column reference genuine leather Bible?

Handcrafted ?? Each hand made is different and unique.
I just call them what they call them. I have no idea how they are made.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews I wasn't knocking you.. I think that's why they're each unique.. imo
