For anyone wondering, its based on the Militech M-76e "Omaha" Tech Pistol. Which is ironic, becuase that is the smallest, most compact weapon in the game and the Gecko is pretty big.
Yeah, it's almost like an Omaha with the size of that chunky Arasaka pistol that I forgot the name of (the one you use in the chase scene leaving the trash).
I bought the files and printed one; the issue you are having with the slide is one of printer tolerances. I had the same issue until I printed an alternate slide lock, which Ehdrien has put up on Thingiverse; it seems to be enough of an issue that he has provided 3 to adjust for the tolerances. Printing the alt slide lock also fixed the problem with the difficulty in getting it to latch while primed. It's a very simple part that takes next to no time to print (I printed all 3 for testing and it took my Prusa a half an hour); I know you are short on time busting out great videos for us, but if you wanted to field the blaster, you could try printing the alternates and replacing it. It's only held in by a Caliburn alignment pin. Another thing is that the files actually come with 3 strength versions of the mag detent, so if people are having problems pulling the mag, they do have the option to print a weaker one.

The assemble time was super quick and simple; I spent maybe an hour, including the time waiting for some glue to dry on one particular part (which is recommended to be glued). It's a great blaster!

I does look pretty awesome, but maybe they should've tested it more and worked out the kinks before sending it, because first impressions make a big difference. Many people would be hesitant to spend $200. on a blaster that seems to need considerable refinements.
That would be amazing as some kind of CO2 powered auto loader. I don't know if that type of tech exists in nerf yet. But. I'm only 1 week into leaning about this stuff.

I love all the innovation that has been put into these blasters, I think that, although they have all been in development for ages, the release of the Pro Mk2 kickstarted all the other releases and seeing them all come to light has been great! Man, I'd love to see someone make a semi-auto version of this with a slide that actually cycles on every shot. The way the slide lock works reminds me of a short recoil system, and perhaps that's intentional, or perhaps not, but in any case, this is a beautiful gun, and I'm probably gonna be getting myself one eventually, when the design is a little more mature and the kinks and bugs have been sorted out.
A slide that actually cycles on every shot is probably not gonna happen, because the blaster is powered by a spring. Once you press the trigger, all the energy stored in the spring is released...like a crossbow. CO2 or HPA might be possible, but it can be dangerous if done improperly and most people don't have sufficient knowledge or the resources to make it happen.

Yeah, I mean, without making the trigger pull so heavy no one could use it, there isn't a lot of way it could be done, except maybe HPA, CO2/Green Gas, or a battery blaster, the only one that I could see working relatively well being Green Gas, as you could have a gas tank built into the magazine, or into the blaster, and then just refill it when needed. Actually, yeah, that might work, as it would be the best choice for preserving the lines of the blaster... Hmm... Now I'm getting ideas in my head...

Hey lord draconical sup...can you reccomend me some good blasters in budget(under 50) all blasters I use have terrible accuracy and the shots miss all the time in nerf ears
I may be mistaken but in cyber punk a few of pistols have that slide piece that goes through to the back and you actually pull on that to rack it (One instance being the m-76E Omaha).
I think the blaster embodies Cyberpunk 2077 a bit too closely - ambitious, cool looking yet rough and buggy.

There's almost no CO2 stuff, I'm not sure why...
I mean. Even if the co2 is just a booster for the recoil prime and chamber operation. I have a couple ideas but no way to build or test.
