I imagine it would be useful for breathing new life into aging darts that have either shrunk or gone soft and are no longer tight in the barrel. I usually find a rounded pointy part of a blaster to spin the hole in the dart on top of as I gently push it down onto the aforementioned pointy part. This will at least temporarily make the dart fire acceptably again. If I could just stick several of them into an apparatus such as this, leave them in for a while and have renewed darts, that would be frickin' amazing! Basically, this could kind of undo the damage done by leaving darts loaded in blasters or other holders that dent or compress the foam over time. Nice.
yeah your meant to hit it gently with a blowdryer or a low setting heat gun to actually make the foam hold that shape somewhat permanently. Its also a very usefull jig for cutting darts down at the same time.
I had been debating which one of these to get since the 3D print files are not available anymore and the complete blaster is WAY too expensive. Thanks for the great comparison video!
Hey, I was wondering if the zhenduo version actually fits angled talon mags. It says it does on the listing but I'm seeing a lot of people saying you need to modify it slightly to make them fit properly. I ordered this the other day and figured I would get a larger angled talon mag because of the info on the site rather than a second "official" mag but now I'm a little concerned it won't fit out of the box. I don't mind modding it if I have to, I'd just prefer that i didn't have to.
My package just showed up from Zhenduo. I can confirm that the angled talon mags don't work out of the box. They almost fit but don't quite make it in. Just a heads up for anyone else that might make the same purchase I did. Going to have to mod the blaster to accept the mags.
@@cavanmorber3238 I haven't tried to yet, got busy with other stuff. Just looking at it, the opening is only a little bit too narrow so it looks doable
Got mine today from amazon. Gotta say its really nice. Note at-least mine will need some fine grit sandpaper to remove some of the mold lines. Specifically the area under the trigger guard. Other than that, solid piece of nerf flinging hardware :)
Huh, here i thot i had 2 Lizzlings bit i got a Lizzlet and a Fire Phenix.. my Lizzy has a "Ghost Rider" skin w skulls and a buncha unreadable graffiti.. is it one of these iterations? Doesnt say nerfty but it looks like xmm? Where nerfty wuld be... thanks man. Love the work keep it up bro.
Is it safe to say the accessories of one are not cross compatible with another? Do the rails differ enought that they will only equip their own site? Do they only take their proprietary mag in the box, and have no compatibility with other clone mags?
Goddamit! I just spent ages writing a reasoned, balanced comment on why the Gekko is ok for what it does, if you can get it on offer, but at the full price, there are better options out there if you don't mind a bit of simple modding. But that got lost in the abyss of the internet. So I'll summarise: an x-shot revolver like the reflex-6 , on an 8kg spring, with the cylinders brassed, the ar removed and dart posts taken out, will top out at just over 140 fps on worker gen 3 darts, doesn't need proprietary mags and costs about £30 to build. Plus it's rear prime. (I REALLY dislike the "grip the slide at the front" prime on the Gekko). FWIW, I've got the Tovol Zerky Gekko, and for what it is, it's ok, a solid pistol. But I wouldn't take it to a game, not if it means having to tote around a couple of spare mags I can't use in anything else. ( BUT.....I'm BIASED. One of my favourite films of all time is the Clint Eastwood western "The Outlaw Josey Wales", so I'm a revolver sidearm fanboy).

Oh I do mods and internals all the time, just look through the “blaster labs” playlist. Right now I’m just inundated with review blasters so I’m knocking them out as fast as I can. As a matter of fact it’s funny you comment on this because the very next video I’m working on is a mod video. Look out for it! 🔥💥🔫
Your encouragement to trademark and patent designs sounds nice, but is opposed to the action of buying a copy. Additionally, it demonstrates a lack of understanding of how trademarks and patents work. Those are meaningless without the funding to legally protect your trademark and patent. Having a trademark or patent makes it easier to bring legal action against someone copying your design, but it doesn’t make lawyers free. A guy running a small 3D printing business isn’t likely to be able to acquire a patent or trademark and if he does, he will need funding to protect it. That said, this is a great review. I appreciate your thoroughness and you seem like a super fun guy!
@@conorkilhenny5362 the reason you get the og is to support the creator of the blaster, not the Chinese marketing team that stole the STLs and made there own mold. This mentality is what’s wrong with the nerf hobby as a whole.

That thingy in the third box is indeed to literally „cook“ your own bamboo darts.
Haha Damn I baked it with my assessment. Never seen something like that before. It’s pretty genius lol
@@notnuffnerf it’s simple yet awesome, isn’t it?

@maikobayashi1910 thanks for that detail it makes total sense!

yo, glad you been pumping out the great video content my friend
Worker makes those molds aswell it's to make Bamboo darts
Thank you for that objective view. It broke my decision between Amazon and temu.
7:23 the slide lock mechanism is supposed to be on the Lizzy Gecko by default.
Love your intro music and your especially reviews
Congrats dude nice vid not nuff see u next time
The third box with a nine dart holder is mold for cutting standard length dart.
Picked up an Amazon version off your review. I must say it's solid.
I needed this comparison thank you!
Congrats Erik!!!’

Yeah that's a bamboo dart mold
Whats the point of bambooing the darts?
An esthetic thing maybe?
Although I use bamboo darts xD
The bamboo shape is to make the bullet less contact less friction on the barrel wall.....
Congrats to the winner.
Cool video. Thx for this

What would you say is better this or the fire phoenix
ali express has one and i got there lizzy 3.0 and love it.

The rails and accessories are the same.
I just got mine after waiting a month and it kicks ass it fires around 115 fps and I paid $29.99

I bought one off of Amazon and it's amazing except for the darts it comes with
These take standard half length darts? Or do I need to use the ammo it comes with?
They take all type of half length darts no problem!
sorry, I ordred it from zhenduo.

Cannot believe someone would actually advert for the knockoffs. Just get the OG, and support the creator, and not the mimicked.
The knockoffs are cheaper and were made with injection molded nylon as opposed to being 3d printed. only reason to get the OG is the color variety.
