I enjoy seeing things like this showing culturally significant clothing. I am native american indian, we have unique cultural clothing as well. Scotland is amazing, I hope to visit sometime soon!
Love that big painting in the shop with all of Scotland's old country dance/folk singers and musicians with Jimmy Shand, Andy Stewart, Alexander Brothers and the others. Shame most of them have all gone now... :(
I've been doing family history research. Chism is my family name. I came across your video. I would love more information on this shop. Are they styl in business?
They are indeed, Amy. I was there last week to get a made-to-measure kilt in the Chisholme hunting (modern) tartan. Duncan was there but I was served by Heather, who is an absolute treasure. My mother's maiden name was Chism also but the dominant spelling in Inverness is Chisholm.
A wonderful walkthrough! I remember you shop quite well, and well the kilt you made for me proudly!

I ought to get myself a Kilt! Although it's a bit chilly at the moment!
Is this shop still in business?
