ONE DAY in Inverness, Scotland! Walking Tour Exploring the City

- We spent a GREAT day in Inverness, Scotland! We docked on Norwegian Dawn in Invergordon and signed up for the excursion called 'Inverness on your own'. Which basically was a bus transfer into the city and time on our own to explore. But our guide gave us some great information on the area and some tips on where to go while there.
We made it into town right around lunch time so we wandered the city until we found our lunch spot. Our guide said there are a lot of great pubs but for food go to The Highlander on Church Street. The food was SO GOOD!!! Hearty traditional Scottish fare that really hits the spot. Definitely a step up from the pub food the day before.
Bellies full, we wander next door to the Victorian Market, which you guessed it, was founded in Victorian times. But it has been modernized and even has a full food court. While in the shopping mood, we popped into a couple of shops to get proper clothing for Scotland! Raincoats and Wellington boots! And once properly dressed... it stopped raining.
We have absolutely fallen in love with Scotland and want more time here in the future!

You guys are getting into my past, I lived between 1970 and 75 in Burghead and in Findhorn just along the coast from Inverness, Go visit Clava Cairns, Colleuden Battlefield, Cawdor Castle, Randolphs leap Oh Scotland I love thee.

Your new outfit for warmth & rain looks great you will use it again for other trips for sure! Seeing the historic old buildings in Scotland are just amazing hope to go some day!
When visiting a new place you have to get a "taste" of the local culture. So when the weather isn't the best. Just buckle up and try the local food and drink. Love it. Thank you ❤❤

Our daughter and son in law live in Inverurie and we were able to fly over and visit for two week - and that was definitely not enough time! Scotland is just so rich in history....can't wait to go back!

My wife and i was in Inverness in October 2023 we spent the week in Inverness its a beautiful place the Highlander pub serves lovely food , the Weatherspoons pub is nice and friendly. We went to a Whiskey distillery that makes the Singleton Scotch . We went on the lochness but didn't see nessie 😂
We had a good few nights in the Caledonian sports club and i became a fan of the Inverness Caledonian thistle football club !
Its a lovely town and i loved the bouncy bridge . My wife and i will ve visiting again , its a 7 hour drive from Wigan England but worth it .

For East coast rain, your right it does look nice.
I went to Edinburgh a year ago and had 7 days of no rain. How lucky was I. And I was totally prepared for rain. I was excited to see your videos because I want to return and see the north and the highlands. Don’t think I will ever be that lucky again.

Hi both, love your vlogs from around the world, we always make a point of watching.
We did this cruise last May on Regal Princess and experienced totally different weather to what you're experiencing, every day we were blessed with great weather with the exception in Cobh Ireland when we had a little drizzle while visiting the Titanic memorial but later it cleared up.
When visiting Inverness the river was so shallow as they'd had little to no rain, so different from your day.
Cruising round the top of Scotland we had clear blue sky but it got cold on the top deck but the views were spectacular, overall an enjoyable cruise, 80% of passengers were Americans, 10% Canadians and 10% mixed nationalities.
So anyone contemplating taking this cruise prepare for all weather conditions.

We always butter our bread here in the uk. Couldn't think of anything worse than have meat and salad on a sandwich without any spread. Even mayo wouldn't do it for me. Its butter all the way.

I live 2 hours north driving or 4 hours train from Inverness!
It's weird being from here and somehow this little town gets 1.3K views
But the commentary is very nice and really gives me some better perspective on the buildings I walk past every day, or what others could see in them
EDIT: The Victorian market was recently redone, that whole food court wasn't there a few years back haha. I hate it because they removed a little train that used to roam about above.

Wrexham is on the very East of Wales so not near the sea, but if you visit Liverpool (probably cruses go there) and Chester is a huge tourist area, stunning. So i would be suprised but there are loads of coach tours in this area and not far from Wrexham.

Butter on bread is the norm in Commonwealth countries, mayo on bread instead is unusual.
They are not "wellie boots," they are "Wellies." also, butties have butter not mayo in the UK. :) Maybe you can ask for mayo instead?
