Have you played chords like this before? Hope you enjoy this as much as me 😊
This is the type of content I love, not complicated licks just stuff I can try right away
Thanks man! More stuff like this to come!
Great lesson. You are are a talented teacher brother. I really enjoy your channel, glad I found it. God bless
Aw thanks so much man! I really appreciate that!
This Lesson is so great and valuable thank you very much God bless you and greetings from Germany.
You're very welcome!
So liberating getting out of Cowboy Chord jail! (Gaol?) After feeling pretty confident as a beginner I was wondering what my next steps should be... I have been steadily sinking into the morass of CAGED, 5 boxes, myloxian etc etc. Not that those things are bad but I realize Ive been beating myself up for not "working hard enough" on them. And - god forbid - not memorizing the fretboard. Then you come along to remind me why I got started in the first place: the joy of just making music. Your philosophy of experimentation is just what I needed, not being afraid to noodle around and try some simple alterations. Rules shmools. And getting such sophisticated chord tones is a major (and occasionally minor) bonus. Thanks for this fantastic lesson, Tony!
Bravo
Thank you!
It takes great skill to make A chord sound like E chord. I'm impressed.
😂 Thank you!
@@GuitarME 🤣👍
That’s really cool 👌
Thanks man!
Another excellent lesson!
Thank you!
I just discovered that shape on my own the other day, now I know what chords I'm playing! Very cool.
Awesome man! Glad you enjoyed!
So much better than leaning scales for me because as soon as I spend time learning them I forget them in a couple of weeks and I have nothing to solo over anyway. I am in awe of people with good memories. Learning the neck with songs, riffs and licks seems to stick better.
Glad you enjoy these lessons Alan 🤘 I’ll certainly do more like these :)
Thanks Tony.....always inspiring!
My pleasure! Thanks for
Watching
So good mate! Love these lessons you do.
Thanks man! Really appreciate that!
Best teacher ever. Thank you so much.
I like that diagonal major chord on strings D, G and B since I have trouble with the same chord where you bar strings B and E at the same fret and also fret the G string one fret higher. I have to flatten my 1st finger and arch the 2d finger and sometime mute a string. When that diagonal chord is I chord, the IV chord is the "straight across" A shape at the fret where your ring finger was. If only I could remember that when playing.
Glad you liked it man! Love these chord shapes too :)
Thanks Tony for your support. It's very useful and most importantly different than what exists on youtube
You are very welcome amigo 🤘🎸
Great again Tony, learn so much from you
That makes me very happy man! Thanks for
Watching 🤘🎸
Why has nobody ever told me this before? Years trying to play all of my chords up at the nut and now I can do this and the E shape stuff from a few weeks go and I’m having great fun and sounding much better (to my ear) Thanks Tony!
Yeah these chords were aha moments for me too! 🤘
Great lesson, more like this please Tony
I will do my friend 🤘
Never saw a guitar that had two twelfth frets..😳
Always great lessons!
Thanks! 😃
Awesome! The big sound changes such simple techniques produce is great.
Great video. I've always wondered why it sounds so great when I play that shape. Now I know, Thanks for that 😊
Fun lesson and I am dead chuffed to use this. Cheers Tony
Thanks for making it so simple to play with more complexity 🙏. Props for doing it all in one cut w no editing as well. I appreciate the realness of your tutorials 🙏
Thanks Tony. Great content
Aw thanks man
Awesome. Sounds great. I do something similar with the E shape E down to 5th then 7th back to E with a little lick between each chord change.
Amazing, WOW, cheers again Tony ;)
Great! ...gotta bit of a YES, feel to it?, great interlude IMO... thanks again! Shipping Container Blues- Rien.
Great stuff! Thank you Tony
Great lesson! Subscribed
This was an amazing video! You are a really good creator!
The A chord sounds a bit like North Country Boy by The Charlatans. Very good.
Great lesson. Thanks. Are you playing the open A and E (highest/thinnest) strings on all of the chords or just the "A" chord? ...i.e., do you just play the fretted strings for the other chords (C,F,G)? Cheers , Malcolm
Hey man! Yes every string except the low e string :)
@@GuitarME Thanks for reply. Malcolm
Great (as always) and so different from others. Is it possible to confirm the strumming pattern please ? Have a nice wekk end !
What guitar are you playing,? Great lesson.
That's my Sunday evening sorted Thanks a million 👍🎸🎼

PMSL. Briliant.
Sounds like pinball wizard a bit
Yeah! Right enough
Is this a C shape on the 6th fret?
As a swedish guy i can not hear if you say "A" or "E"😅
It’s alright neither can I most the time 😂
Here is some 💕from "Totta" in Sweden 🇸🇪
That's an "A" chord, not an "E" chord ;)
Another amazing lesson. Love this chanel mate
