Brilliant, lots of people produce videos of songs on TH-cam and say use this pattern or that without showing the timing. That is crucial for me. Thanks
Loved the teaching ❤️🙏🏻. From basic strumming till advanced, explained so well 👌 step-by-step 👌. Very calm & polite when you teach. Feels very relaxed listening to your teaching 😊. Good job both of you ❤️👌
That last strumming pattern you said is for funk is also a disco rhythm. My guitar teacher taught me that disco was based on the 16th note. You constantly play 16th notes and you mute some of those notes by lifting your chord hand to give it a disco groove.
So excited to learn how to mute with the fret hand for a percussive sound! Have you covered strum hand palm muting? I really struggle with this…thanks!
As a "non-dominant hand strummer" I doubt I'll ever get to that level in patterns no matter how much I practice 😅😅 so I'm going for the "Down-Up-Smack-Up" pattern, which is seriously challenging enough already haha, ..my hand keep wanna add an extra down in the end or replace the up with it.. heh...
Thanks for the video, but since this doesn’t cover ALL of the strumming patterns, what if the song is ANOTHER strumming pattern? Are these the most COMMON ones? How do I figure out other ones, especially if the pattern changes in the song? Thanks
Thanks. Have watched many of your Videos. Any chance, give us a simple 1 page of lesson. Like strumming patterns, a great one to do. Have seen them, Just D+ U. It's a Great practice sheet. Plus Songs u do. Please!! Rarely have my guitar when I come up on a good one( all r good) Thanks
IMHO, for Faith, the pattern should be : D . . U . . D . . U D . D . X X 1 e + a 2 e + a 3 e + a 4 e + a That's how it fits if you keep your strumming hand moving up and down through the beat. In fact she does play it like that at the start (10:16), but still missing the subtle UD.
En cada uno de los acordes reputen lo mismo :" es el mejor acorde de todos los tiempos!!lo toco todo el rato con todas las canciones!"😅se hace pesado... Pero bien explicado , resumido y con canciones👍
The Wonderwall strumming only seems elaborate because you’ve taken it out of the context of the chords. Focused on the actual chord changes, it’s simple. Good video.
i wish for the more complex strumming patterns that you would go thru it at speed before jumping straight into the song - it's difficult to make the transition from half to full speed while also trying to keep track of the chords. it feels like there's a step missing and it's really frustrating rolling the same 5 second loop back bc you also didn't repeat it like you said :/
The hardest thing for me is to mute the G chord. The explanation to do it is missing.... Same problem at th-cam.com/video/NPy_rLNrRrU/w-d-xo.html how do I mute the D chord (the D string of that D chord)
I'd like to see a competition between Ms. Tesler-Mabe and the Japanese guitarist Saki to determine the champ of simultaneous smiling and talking. I think Saki might have the advantage, as she doesn't move her jaw while speaking but I'd still like to view the contest.

You two did a really great job on this lesson. I'm an older intermediate that's always want to improve. Thank you both
Showing the patterns in a song is so helpful and gives us something to practice with instead of just doing the motion. Great video
Sami Ghawi rocks. He's my number 2 favorite guitar teacher; right behind the legend, Ayla Tesler-Mabe.
Ayla, you've been holding out on us.
So very nice to hear your singing voice! We'll be expecting more... please.
Will that be a swedish massage?
Ayla is absolutely adorable. Totally subbed this channel because of her personality, so fun and chill!
This video is best understood once the concept of playing on / off the beat is clear. Thanks for the great video!
Top 10 mustache’ of all time 😎
😜

Beautiful color scheme of your guitar.

Great video really help as a newbie I started with picking and found strumming difficult and this helps a lot, a must practice
Really really really digging your videos you've been releasing lately! 🥰❤️
Fantastic video! Thank you guys!!
Miss Ayla reminds me of elementary school orchestra teacher, very chill, soft spoken person and very easy to understand.
Really good guys, I prefer the 1 & or 1 e & a. Type language as it helps me feel where I am within each beat more easily. If that makes any sense 😊
Great video guys. I'm a guitarist and its great to focus in on the tempo.
Super good class!
So excited to learn how to mute with the fret hand for a percussive sound! Have you covered strum hand palm muting? I really struggle with this…thanks!
Fantastic; nice and comprehensive!
very good. thank you! ❤️❤️ only i wish you also hum the tune while showing the rhythm application

Love it. Go Girls!

Thanks for the lesson! Just one little note, all the great reggae players always strum down and not up
Awesome! Just what I was looking for! Thank you soooo much!

Very cool. Thank you.
Thank you
Although I don’t mind the down, down, up down terminology.
I’ve become a fan of the 1 e and ah, terminology.
I love hearing the smack ,so going to have to play it xxx

Sounds like WONDER WALL💕💖🎸🎶🙋
great video thank you so much.
Thank you!!
Seriously Ayla, you have a guitar teacher? You already have it!
Enlightening 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Leave the Strum pattern names Written! I'm a Foreigner and have trouble understanding names I've never heard. Excelent Video!
I think they just made the names up
En cada uno de los acordes reputen lo mismo :" es el mejor acorde de todos los tiempos!!lo toco todo el rato con todas las canciones!"😅se hace pesado...
Pero bien explicado , resumido y con canciones👍
3rd pattern (brown eyed girl), 3rd beat first quaver is a rest.
The Bo Diddley rhythm also change identity and it became a clave now?
The Wonderwall strumming only seems elaborate because you’ve taken it out of the context of the chords. Focused on the actual chord changes, it’s simple. Good video.
Very Cool
I've been trying to get Long Train Running working, it was a little trickier than I expected
I love it.
You mean you guys haven't noticed the lady's bewitching smile 🥰
Excellent
Awesome!🎉
That strum sounds like wonder something🤔🎶❤ GREAT 👌
Very helpful
Great!!!
SICK!!🤘
Wow 👌 I love it

My friend really leaned back while playing that reggae rhythm. Sad thing is he was in terrace sitting on the edge of wall 🥴
I was just thinking that lol...down down up down...whaaat.... I noticed I play that song a little different haha. (Wonderwall)
How to change chord on timr
Where you both from means from which country

Good job the 10 most popular, salam from karya anak bngsa
Hi, what model is that Taylor?
Same as Eagles but with fingerpicking.
Nice
What do I do when I am stuck on one pattern and can’t break the habit? I’ll start a different and I always end up on DDUUDU. Ugh. Thanks 😊
Nice video but what happened not having Metallica and metal type strumming?
good teachers👩🏫👩🏫👩🏫👩🏫
📍 No way, gonna recall.. lol Tks
Sweet stash bro
Dude...Love me some Wonderwall
Please show patterns on the screen! It's so hard to follow without the visual picture of the up/down movement!
Aylaaaaaa , i know how to play guitar cause of you 🎸🌈🌈🙏 life fcking changed after that . Thanks ,
Ps. This video helps even more ,
Mario Bros knows how to play guitar!

You are so cool, I hope you make it, whatever you want to do.
@@dhwhwhshhshwwy946 Thanks, you too... but I have a feeling you weren't being serious, oh well.
@@MedalionDS9 I'm serious, I didn't realize that what I said might come across as sarcastic.
Ok so you had me on down up up up down down up up up down up down....ermm up up erm down up. 🤭
How can you make a video about the most popular strumming patterns of all time and not do a shuffle or anything blues related?
