I rode this bike today ! You have made a great choice 👍it’s the most fun bike I’ve ridden . This bike as been best in class for years , for good reason .
There is an easy fix for the wobbly headlight unit- I have done mine- just undo the bolts that retain the cables on the headstock and take out the collar - one end of it is longer than the other. On the long side add a washer and refit. Do that on both bolts and on each side of the headstock and the light will be fine.
My 2018 street triple rs doesn't have a loose headlight assembly like that, I wonder what changed between the few years, I even installed a windshield and still no issues.
Just checked my front on the 2020rs and the lights and screen are firm , no movement at all. What i did notice when riding at night is that the lights don't light up the road as good as the 2018rs I had. So now I ride with high beam lol.
I have a 2020 Street triple r and I'm having on going vibration issues through the handle bars it's been back for new clutch housing and balancing shaft still no resolved the problem
Like your channel and content! Subscribed!! Not sure if Triumph redesigned the front factory flyscreen and headlamp assembly on the 2020 but on my 18' the flyscreen moves a little bit but the light assembly seems tight. I don't ride very often at night but have not noticed an issue with headlight movement. I like the fact that the 17'-19' TFT dash display is better than 2020. Especially for those of us that are a little older I can see it well. Glad they made updated on the torque curve for 20'. With the 18' ya just got to keep it on the boiler and shift a bit more often :) Ride safe!
Hi there! I have 765 R 2020. I have the same issue with the lights. My dealer in Gothenburg(Sweden) have 3 demo bikes: Street Triple 765 RS, 765 R and 765 S. I checked their headlamp assembly and they all moves up/down a lot.
@@asanrushid4981 Yes, that's what the shop tech told me that they all move up/down. Its really not a big bother unless riding at night and I've learned to get used to it. Not a deal breaker or a major concern.
Have you set your suspension up to you? I'm no expert but the front rebound looks a tad to fast. If you had it set up correctly then it's possible as you're riding the fork oil heats up enough to need an extra click inward on rebound.
Thanks for a review and comparisons with F900R. You almost had me convinced to go with Triple but then I looked up the prices here (in Germany) and RS is 2500$ more than similarly specced BMW. That's a pretty steep increase.
I went with the R instead. My very first own bike 😉. No fancy tft dash, but more than enough bells and whistles to keep me happy. At 50+ of age i will probably never get the max out of this bike but am willing to discover as much of its’ potential as possible… Picked it up last Friday, drove it from the dealer to my home (20 miles) and now it is sitting in my garage. Since then the weather has been atrocious. Now i want to just ride and get it past break in period. If only an hour a day…. Experience so far despite being restricted to only 5k rpm for the first 300 miles or so: what a bike 😍. So easy to ride….. On the ride home went to low speed areas in the city on purpose and had no problem at all operating it at snail’s pace. For me it is not only about riding fast but also to ride in commuter traffic and traffic dense situations. On the normal roads you can just feel the power build up while starting to put in the revs. And at 5k you know that there is so much more available. And cornering is a dream. Point and shoot. 😍
Looking at this bike (ironically the same color) and was curious what the service cost was and if it's just an oil change and chain adjustment, if you don't mind. Will check the headlight out when I go back to test ride. (Was raining when I went to look at it the other day) Thanks!
Hi, mine has just 220 miles but I want to know which engine oil did you use? In the manual says that Castrol is the option but of course I prefer in worst scenario Motul7100, better Motorex or Mobil.
I want to buy this bike. But i am afraid of problems with crashed engine. I saw more informations that engine crashed after 20thousand km. Do you know if it is occasional or often occured problem?
I’ve had 4 ‘crashed’ engines in 6 months.. just kidding.. I have no idea bro.. no guarantees with anything.. even life. Buy whatever you like and don’t worry so much.
TFT display sucks man on the 2020, I’ve found the best way is to keep it in display mode 2 or 4 and have the tachometer selected in the submenu. One other gripe I had with my bike, was the clutch lever was very floppy and both levers were very far (for my hands anyway) from the handlebar, but some aftermarket levers fixed that.
I wondering your Guys in US are so impressive from the Power of this "little" Bike! I buy my RS 765 this year, oh yeah, is it a very good Motorbike for the "Landstreet". But I have also a CBR 1000 rr SC 59 with 175 HP and is it sooo much faster... But I need my Driving Licence, so I buy the Street Triple 765 RS. It is fast enough for me! And much komfortable. I drive in Germany :-))
@@PetroHead nope, haven’t had a problem. If you get deep into the weeds lots of people love the idea of a “hard break in” or they are traditional and slowly break it in.
My first bike was a 1959 triumph pre unit that’s with the motor and transmission are separate that was back in 1971 that bike had lots of problems I’ll never buy a Triumph again
@@PetroHead i wish it was that easy. I hace a chance to trade my 14 bolt with full exhaust plus stsge 5 power comander for a 14 fz1 but it's so tuff to want to actually get ride of that bolt cuz its ao much fun im town but that fz1 is a blast on the canyons

In my view there's no comparison between the F900R and the Street Triple

truly a beauty.. specially love the triple cylinder whistle
A true biker who loves it will coincide with flaws of it
For better display readability try black background with yellow or green text. It has better contrast than stock white/blue ;-)

Yea that’s the problem I found too. The speed is not even. High beam fixes it.
My 2018 looks like the lights would light up the road, but I haven't run it at night.
Will check it out this Saturday night.
In the UK ...600 miles doesn't run the bike in....it just means you can move up to 7000 revs
yep, the sticker on the tank shows it, no supposed to let her rip till 1000, thats why I dont like buying used bikes. Most are never broke in properly

How does it compare to your R6? Keep up content 👍
I'll make a comparison video one of these days. Stay tuned! 👍

Sorry bro, I don’t know what they used.
Amsoil Metric 10/40. Amsoil is 100% synthetic. Others are “full” synthetic, which are technically NOT 100% synthetic.

The tach sucks, dont know why they changed it, but I dont ride off the tach just a annoying issue on the display
So how much is the wet weight for street triple rs actually (kg)?
It’s 414.8lbs wet.. yes you can calculate using google for kg.
do you get the quickshifter with the bike?
Yes

I have it on #4 I believe.. its the easiest one to read but still difficult for my weak eyes. Haven't felt any lever issues yet.
Have you resolve the highlight problem at night ?
No, nothing to resolve.. dealer can’t do anything about it.
Did you know the screen can tilt, might help with the dash
Yea I figured it out after some time.

Gotta love Triumph. Pretty bike, but would never pass inspection in a Japanese factory.
My 2019 doesn’t vibrate.
Use SC exhaust that takes the cat off. Bike will lose 9 LB. I put one on my 2020 R
Put it on Theme 1. It has much bigger MPH and Gear numbers than the theme you're using (if you even still have this motorcycle).
Of course I still have it 😉
I went with the hard break-in on my 2022
No regrets right?

They didn't give you a loaner bike, what the hell? Could've done a quick comparison even....
I didn’t ask for one when I should have. But recently I did a service and got the Speed Twin which I reviewed.
The original 765 RS dash was much better. I have no idea why they felt the need to ruin it.
