- The Street Triple RS is a very potent track machine. It corners like a housefly and keeps up with very big bikes like the Ducati V4S and Aprilia Factory bikes. Please give the video a like and sub the channel! Thanks for watching.

"I'm almost bald, I can't believe that" : story of my life for the last few years 😢😢😢
That looks like so much freaking fun! I can’t wait to get out to a track day.
Do it... you won't regret it.
@@PetroHead Mate, am gonna follow u into tracks for real!! Was so worried about the price diff of a Street Triple RS (or R6 or Z900) vs a 10 year old FZ6R etc.. Not anymore😂 Just a quick question - How heavy are the BMW/triumph maintenance costs compared to the japanese Ninja650/Z900/R6..
That track looks dangerous. Needs to be way smoother
Track is smooth actually.. but the way the track is designed, it's really bad on tires.
Oh my goodness the sound your triple makes at low to mid RPM is freaken lovely. I'd be slowing down and accelerating all day (off track naturally)
Haha 😆
Agreed. They have a lovely induction noise too!
If you run tire pressure too low, especially the rear, you can raise temps so high you cook the rubber and it will wear excessively. Getting a bit larger contact patch can also slow you down. There's a balance. I think a lot of track day people drop their pressures out of tradition without even knowing why that trend started.
Very true. I feel like you've been watching FortNine videos about tyres 😅
Why did it start?
@@Supernova12034 Why are so many people tattooing themselves? Using nose piercings? Spending all day on cell phones? There's a lot of things people do without any thought or reason, especially if enough other people do it.
I would imagine no one is going to make a lot of progress on race tracks without testing everything continuously? Relying on supposed "tradition" fables for set up sounds like a recipe to not improve much....then again? What do I know?
Next to the video I loved the hud you've included in the video! Nice 🙂
I'll get mine this saturday!! Love the sound and that revy moto2 engine. Maybe the sexiest bike i've ever driven. Can't wait driving it. A track session is booked allready for may ;-)
The triple sound is amazing. I have a 2012 675. Love it.
3 cylinder bikes are actually the sweetspot sound of all of the Bigbike engines. They sound so flourished and strong.
Fantastic video. Gives me motivation to get out on my Street Triple. I luuuuv it!
I do too and also have 1050r which is awesome. I test rode the 765rs and was disappointed but after watching this video i bet the dealer had it in rain mode. It was totally lack luster and the speed shifter was lazy. Handling was great though. The bike must have been in another mode because I felt my 675r was just as good minus the upgrades.
Wicked great riding. Love the telemetry readings. I could see them being helpful in playback mode in making adjustments to the braking and throttle application.
Thanks for the content and ride safe. East Coast 18' Striple RS owner!
Thanks! Definitely helpful on improving like you said.
Looks like a track I cold get lost in. Great driving.
Novice group 4 life baby lets go!!! Great video man.
Thank you 👍
Oh man that bike sound so good I need one asap.
I legit thought this was a VR game the first 5 seconds 😳
Congratulations for the video, great driving!
From an outside perspective and from someone that is only analysing the footage I think you have margin to improve your braking and corner entering. It seems to me that you are braking less than you should and because of that missing almost every appex and furthermore the exit because you can't accelerate early enough.
Good luck cheers
yes i agree, missing the apexes and running to deep and not able to get on the power early
I agree. It’s no criticism. You have the pace and the ability. Get on the brakes, later with more pace and modulate them off, before the apex. Commit to the corner and get that head and knee down, then pick the throttle up earlier and squirt yourself out of the corner.
Really great riding, of course I'm not an expert so I'm not one to judge but I thought it looked smooth. I love the way street triples swing in and out of corners, it doesn't look as ridged as Supersports
you have improved your track skills sir, good 4 u. As a proud owner of a v4s and a 765rs i can tell you that there is no way the triumph can keep up on straights and out of the corners - they simply cant and that is no criticism to the 765rs. The triumph is faster on the corners and especially on smaller tracks where the straights are not long enough will be faster overall if the same rider takes them both for a spin. Great video
Fontana is a great track. Get right on the wall on the front straight before you drop and you can really carry a ton of speed through the first little cone chicane. Nice video!
Nice video mate ! Cheers from France ! ;-)
Thank you! 🙏
Nice riding mate. I have ridden some airfield circuits like this in England. Flat n featureless makes it a learning event each session. I’m picking up a 2021 RS this weekend and have 3 trackdays planned. The beautiful Donington Park and Snetterton fir a 2 dayer. Might squeeze in Cadwell Park too.
Thank you! You will love it... the Striple RS is effortless to ride and will corner like a house-fly... enjoy it!
You were COOKING !!!!!! what RS lacks soon straights is get back(and then some) in corners and under breaking! Great vid!
Yea I learned early on to break early and accelerate WOT out of corners.. the liter bikes get me on the straights but then I catch up in corners.
Great content; I'm so torn on getting the 2021 Street Triple 765RS or the new Monster coming out in 2021!!!
I'm torn between street triple 765rs, kawasaki Z800 and the new trident 660 😂😂
Buy the Triumph, you won’t regret it !!!!!! 👍👍👍
Awesome vid! Close to getting a first bike and one id definitely take to the track. Was wondering what it is you’re using to sense/log all the metrics that you have up on display there? Would like install something similar to recap and learn from when not on track. Thanks in advance!
It’s GoPro gps data and then I use an app that converts it to what you see. For the road it’s not useful.
@@PetroHead it's bit laggy though, especially with speedometer readings. There is a bit of lag for every lap reset as well.
It's mad that a middleweight naked can keep up with litre sportsbikes. Hats off to the guys at Hinkley (and Thailand ofc) for pulling off such an impressive bike
Great content mate, looks like u would be heaps quicker if u turned in a bit later to have a straighter and earlier drive on the power out of the corners too.
I want a track to myself so I can brake as late as possible with an early WOT exit.. (w/ slicks please)
Awesome driving there.🏍💨 Grtz your 🇳🇱 fan.
Thanks 👍
Fun fun fun 🤩 looks like the 765 loves turns hates straights lol !! You did good on them tracks yes sir!
Thanks for passing all those other slllooowwww riders, very satisfying
I looked like there was a 390 there that smoked all of y'all on the twisty part when you first caught up to that group
Yea it wasn’t his first rodeo 😂
Excellent work
Too bad you gave us 2x mph snd not an RPM dial. I would have lived to know what revs you were at at sny given bit on the track.
On the limit. Maxed out.
Nice video. What mirrors are you using?
amazing how competitive the street rs is. does it have any modifications to the engine, brakes, suspension or is it factory original? nice session, congratulations!
Factory original.. only thing upgraded is me 😉
@@PetroHead 😂✌ well done!💪
So bice bike, almost moto2 engine, right?
@@agustinrueda3241 Not quite, but the new model is. The 2023 engine is last years Moto2 engine since they have upgraded the moto2 bike. Titanium bits, high lift cams, uprated valve springs. For £11k in the UK it's an absolute steal if you want a performance bike
Nice track riding, I'm a bit jealous :)
Thank you 🙏
Can you make a video about your data overlay for trackdays.
What should it include?
@@PetroHead A "how to" video would be nice. What app, editing tools you use and things like that. -Thanks!
If your comment gets enough likes, I’ll make it happen. (Or if I start getting more requests)
Jenx, the app is called racechrono pro. Use any GoPro from 6 upwards, make sure gps is turned on. Then you import the video file into racechrono and hey presto all the data is there. You can even have lean angle on the overlay!
No lean angle. EDIT: New version includes lean angle... but graphics need improvement.
I bought the MT-10 and was pleasantly surprised when I was able to stay right on the tail of a 765 moto2 edition with better rider aboard ....not that I know for a fact he was putting much effort into things maybe he was still breaking it in even idk but otherwise I think the only thing that saved me was the MT's raw acceleration on the several straight sections ....anyway that day I was not so impressed by the 765 however some weeks later I must confessI to being utterly shamed by another 765 (RS this time) with an even better rider piloting that one ...but this time on a MUCH tighter route of twisty road one with virtually no straight sections to give my Master of Torque liter bike any opportunities at all to make up any lost ground...Since then I am kinda thinking I should have bought a 765 rather than this rather little bit scary MT10? BTW I dont literally engage in "racing" on the public roads I simply take note of pace and the only time I will pass is if I have a starkley faster pace and either get waved past or there is a really safe passing stretch...I am always delighted to simply pace with whoever is going give or take same pace as me ... and anyone that gets on my tail that I am never pulling away from? Always happy to wave than one right by me ..racing on public roads is beyond stupid IMHO
Don’t be impressed by anyone riding any bike on any public roads. On the road and on the track.. it is ALWAYS the rider.. never the bike. (Unless you’re a professional racer.. then bike matters.. but for most street Rossi’s.. they have more balls than brains.. bring them to a real track and they are slow and out of place)
Great to see British bikes
Nice riding 👍🏻
wow damn my zx10r will love this track
That guy on KTM 390 7:22 onward had a lot of fun.. pity he looses on straights
I know how he feels.. first time tracked was this track on my RC390 and I just learned how to ride motos.. 😂 check my older videos.
@@PetroHead I see.. you did well.
Have you tried going flat out through the small Chicane at the 1:09 lap time stamp? It looks like you should be able to do it if you set yourself up properly. Or at least the camera makes it look like it's possible haha
That is a V-turn chicane.. you'd run the risk of running wide or worse, low siding.
765 shines on the street. More than enough power to just enjoy and go nuts with.
I agree. More power than most can handle.
Soundz Soooooo good
9:51 this scared me :O
Great Vid. @ This point, I'm Pretty sure I'll be trading up to a new Speed Triple by next season. Can't wait for the track this yr. tho. I also dig the Telemetry Data, its awesome to have that data overlay w ur vids! What program are u using?
Btw, right after u said about the guy on the V4S, that dude in front of u (prob him) was leaning his bike over like he was racing Moto GP or something!! Crazy Lean angle & just throwing it around like an old school 250 or something... Awesome! Nice riding btw✌
It’s an app called race chrono pro.. lots of cool track vids on the channel, check playlist section for more.
@@PetroHead Thanks for the response & the info. I'll def checkout the app. I've got a few insta360 cams & GPS remote which allows telemetry data 2b added to vids but is pretty basic, Race chrono is def cooler. Just to clarify, is it a mobile app, PC SW or both? I use android & W10. Btw, I will check em out after I sub ur channel. Thx again ✌
@@bigb27me Its a phone app. I think $12-20 not sure I forgot but worth it.
how did u mount thise mirrors... have the same ones but they fold towards me after 100mph.. whats your secret? 😅
Looks familiar is it Fontana auto club speedway?
Yes
So the litre bikes are 190 mph top end?
Top-seed role of a 2020 grumpy triple
What do you use to put the telemetry on the video?
I’ve got a Daytona 675 I can’t wait to get a street triple 765
Same boat 2 yrs ago, never looked back
Plz suggest me a bike with good ground clearance, naked or sports tourer and good heat management and decent pillion comfort...want to upgrade from R3...loads of love from 🇮🇳
Try street triple R
@@PetroHead okkk...thank u...😁
You ever come out to thunder hill up here in northern cali?
No man, I would love to. I've been thinking about taking a long roady with my Striple but hauling gear may be a challenge.. was thinking about doing a Big Sur ride video / trip... how is Big Sur this time of year?
I would hate having to keep figuring out where I am supposed to go on a track...lol I would just want it to be ALWAYS clearly "the track" not deliniation via cones and crap
This looks like a good track for a beginner too track days to learn on mostly long sweepers and not that fast.
Quite the opposite.. it’s a very fast track
@@PetroHead I have been riding for a few years and too me it doesn't look that bad well just from someone who had never done a track day.
But the speed is around 210km/hr which unless on a litre bike, but from my experience on my R6 it's doesn't seem that fast. But I guess I was trying to say it seemed more manageable of a track layout.
this is older so idk if you'll see this, but i would focus on learning how to ride faster not commentating on a video, you're braking so early that you're just parking on the apex of the slow corners and you're really late on the throttle, like you're waiting for the bike to turn in, but the bike won't turn in off the throttle, start rolling on the throttle much earlier and you'll notice the bike turn in faster, i can't see your body position so i'm not going to comment on it much but it appears you're really hesitant to get off the seat, get off the seat, get your body into the corner and trust the tires and your riding ability. overall you honestly sound like you're really cocky about how "fast" you are, humble yourself, you literally got past by an rc390 like you were standing still. you seem like you have potential, but youre so overly confident it seems like you're not letting yourself learn more than what you already know, just film your track days without talking or having any youtube video in mind, and watch the footage back and be super critical of yourself, trust me it will help you so much.
I'm more exhausted reading your comment than riding on the track. But anyway, thanks comment coach 😂
What exhaust are you running in this video? Sounds like an SC-Project
Spark ⚡️
I remeber this track in gran turismo
With this bike you get the advantage off put all the power on the backwheel before the other and sooner...wide open
That think is a cover, and that cover improve the cx of the bike for better speed in the straigh
Hey i had a question im about 5- 5’1 and ive been looking into getting a bike, do u have any suggestions as to what models or brands i should look into?
Popular videos > first video > watch it
That some pretty good graphics, what game is that.
😂
Noice. I get a little scared just watching this (dont look down).. Im picking up a leftover 2020 ST-R in about a week. Pretty sure Im gonna be driving around like a grandma for quite a while. I rode for 5 years, but that was like 20 years ago.
Haha.. yea this is definitely not my first rodeo.. can be nerve racking for untrained eyes. You’ll be alright 👍
Can't believe they let u keep mirrors on
with r6 on that track what time do you did?
Haven't done R6 at this track but if I had to guess.. maybe 2-3 seconds faster cuz of aero and clipons which allow me to throw the bike left/right on turns faster.
Maaaan you're on a track, turn that throttle!!!!!!
Sorry to spoil, but a competent rider on either a Panigale V4 or RSV4 would smoke the 765. Not even close. It’s a midweight trying to compete against heavyweights. No match.
In a straight line, sure. What we're seeing here is the 765 taking them to Gapplebees with low-end torque in the tight corners.
For the price of the v4, you can buy 2 street triples and have beer money left.
Bro if compare to z900 which is more powerfull and worth?
Not on a tight track. It’s a waste of money and insurance.
@@Ashilachu007Z900 isn't more powerful? It's like 25kg heavier and 10hp less 😂
A LOT depends on the rider and Suspension setup. I fly by people on 1299 Ducati's on my little 675R.
Check the suspension video in the Striple playlist.
@@PetroHead Cool will do.
that is the worst track i have seen so far. what is that? dangerous asphalt for guys who can really drive fast. they should not let people ride their superbikes on that shitty track.
Funny , I was just there on my 765 last month.
How did your tires fare?
My tire's left side was gone after the trip. Also I'm glad they shut the track down It needs new surfacing. Try streets of willows. I think that track would better suit the Street Triple anyways.
What class were you running in? I was doing low 1:40s on my 2020 STRS
Looks like you are really good on the brakes! Sounds like you have a auto blipper
Thank you 🙏 quick up/dn w/ auto blip
That “thing” I believe is a speed ring
🤷
Why is the track in such a bad condition?
The track is getting a major update.. they are reducing its size and I think riding a bike on this track will be over soon. The track is really meant for NASCAR as it’s a big oval but they turned the center into a circuit.
Superb riding, fucking cones everywhere though!😮
When the liter bikes roll on the throttle they are gone. Wow
It's crazy to believe how fast liter bikes are..I have a 2017 street triple R 675 cc and they just rocket ship away from me...I can hang with 600s on the straights kinda till around 115 mph then they start to pull away to...these Triumphs certainly do handle nicely tho
Its the lack of aero...
There is always that R6...
What happen to that Tron lookalike Ducati, did you ever find out ?
He's on the video... he passed me then I passed him... He's wicked fast on the straights (obviously).
I tried looking in the video to see where you passed him again but didn’t see that, anyways i was hoping to see some footage off that bike since it was on your video cover
@@guuchh4173 Search around the 11m mark.. I think its there.
7:31 dude on the orange bike needs to chill, passing like that is going to cause an accident.
Technically, you can pass arm length but just because you could, doesn't mean you should... Though the V4S that took me on the straight was only inches away from me... that I thought wasn't very cool.
@@PetroHead nah, I was talking about the guy that did the inside pass at 7:31.
@@hipposnakeyo Yes, I know who you're talking about.
Actually that guy have a 300cc KTM or similar and he is faster in corners than leader bikes, its normal
small bikes are more agile.
I don't think he has irresponsible riding. He looks like have more skills that's it.
Not the bike thats faster but the rider. Have seen R3's lap ducatistas on thier $20k liter bikes....
your vision is really short sighted..
💥💥
Lol 🤣 not many right turns on that track, all straight and lefts, no wonder you're finding it hard to keep temperature 🌡️ up on the tyres
Its a Nascar track turned into a race course.
@@PetroHead yeah we don't have many ovals in the UK or Europe, throw in a few more rights and the grip will be better and keep the heat in the compounds, good video, I use to track my 06 Daytona 675 and use to scalp the litres back then lol 🤣 always a laugh
@@BeanieBiker_AutisticRider On camera to people at home, the track doesn't look fun but its far from the truth... For medium to big sized bikes, this track allows you to stretch its legs and get the most out of it. I've yet to take the R6 here... that's next!
I think you exploited about 80% of that bike

Where on earth is this awful circuit?

Why is it awful?
@@PetroHead Just a personal opinion.
It's so hard to gauge any sort of flow or reference points.

The guy that rips past you like your standing still at the 7:30 mark is on a 373cc bike you are just like every other bum on a 600 you think you fast till someone that knows how to ride show you that most definitely you are not. I laughed when you said damn now I have to fight through all this traffic. You are slow we both know that wasn’t an issue.
I bet you never rode on a track a day in your life. You're one smug ass
line selection is really poor and rsv4 will smoke speed tripple at half rpm range , you need to redline your speed tripple to even have any chance to compete with rsv4 ridden by competent rider , most competent riders on liter bike will take v turn instrad of u turns around the steep corner
Competitor.. lol
Since you got ‘champ’ in your name.. let’s see you upload how it’s done other than parking lot maneuvers.. champ!
