This was released before "Come As You Are", there are a bunch of other songs that also use the same riff and were released before Nirvana's song, such as "Eighties" by The Killing Joke and "Life Goes On" by The Damned. So it was actually Kurt who stole the riff.

No I don't have a gun
Wrong dude! It's:
Eighties, I'm living in the eighties
Eighties, I have to push, I have to struggle
Eighties, get out of my way, I'm not for sale no more
Eighties, let's kamikaze 'til we get there
And we sang
You do it this way
Eighties, by day we run by night we dance, we do
Eighties, I'm in love with the coming race
Eighties, I've got the best, I'll take all I can get
Eighties, I'm living for the eighties
Eighties, I'm living in the eighties, I push
Eighties, I'm living
Eighties, I'm living in the eighties, I struggle
Eighties, I'm living…
dude there have a stupid artist in my country says " there is only 7 notes in music how much of different song artist can do " this doesn't even relate the songs only the effects are same and so many effects used by so many artists there is no copy right on guitar effect thats why in same era songs sound the same, in van halen era everybodies guitar effect is like in "Jump" thats not mean every notes is same in jump there have couple of notes back to back same with come as you are but not in exact same key or same notes, if there would be intentional or so obvious similarities they'd get sued cause thats what others did when that happend. If you are looking for OBVIOUS THIEFS ;

^^ that is obvious stolen song right there even got sued by orginals but somehow even they didn't pass similarity test but it is stolen just because you hit same accords with extra note more than other song doesnt make you original. Cause beat is same, key is same, exactly same everything.
this is cam as you are???
Yeah "cam" as you are
So right...

This just proves women are better
They are better indeed!
Come . . . . . as you are . . . . . . as you were . . . . . . . . As I want you to be . . . . . . . . .
This is cool, but The Damned were still first with Life goes on.
Also, listen to some early Smashing pumpkins demos. Some of that early dark wave stuff Billy did sounds a lot like this.
Berlin meets Killing joke meets the violators with a little bubble gum pop in there
🧨⚡️🧨⚡️ This 1 is the better of KillingJoke Vs Nirvana / Damned is also better
add Nightmares by the Sea by Jeff Buckley to your list
I would love it if someone wrote the lyrics in the comments ❤️

I am going to make a list of songs that has the same riffs as Come As You Are by Nirvana
sounds like 60's pop, lol.
Oh shit
22 musics with the same riff
Nearvana
The Damned and Killing Joke also
Killing Joke straight ripped this riff off!
Una tradición el copiar este Rift de guitarra
come as you are if it was good
Come as you are...

STOLEN FROM NIRVANA «COME AS YOU ARE»
And The Damned...
This was released before "Come As You Are", there are a bunch of other songs that also use the same riff and were released before Nirvana's song, such as "Eighties" by The Killing Joke and "Life Goes On" by The Damned. So it was actually Kurt who stole the riff.
Not a crime stole riffs tho
The same riff but the song is terrible. Not a hit like Come as You Are!
Yeah, heard this some time in 84' to 87' and hated It. I can't stress how bad this song is.
Your taste sucks
i dont consiter nirvana stole it by made their song resemble this maybe some insperation
Lyrics:
Come as you are, as you were
As I want you to be
As a friend, as a friend
As an old enemy
Take your time, hurry up
Choice is yours, don't be late
Take a rest as a friend
As an old
Memoria, memoria
Memoria, memoria
Come doused in mud, soaked in bleach
As I want you to be
As a trend, as a friend
As an old
Memoria, memoria
Memoria, memoria
And I swear that I don't have a gun
No, I don't have a gun
No, I don't have a gun
Memoria, memoria
Memoria, memoria
(No I don't have a gun)
And I swear that I don't have a gun
No I don't have a gun
No I don't have a gun
No I don't have a gun
No I don't have a gun
