Anxiety is something that apear to be most important thing in your life and it might be true at first but with time you understand that this shit is not really worth wasting time in your life, trust me man as much it sounds corny and chliche but honestly FUCK THAT BICHT that what you call Anxiety, and I only wish all strengh and will to you, peace and love to you.
This reminds me of walking home from school at night in the winter, it's just rained and the streetlamps cast an orange-yellow hue, eerie but entrancing, over the dark, empty street. And at one point, about halfway through the mile home, I am truly alone, with nothing but the noise in my head. I am nothing, I am everything. I am the glittering pavement, the little clouds of fog every time I exhale, I am the occasional roar of a car passing by. I start to run downhill, the cold stiffening my face like rigor mortis, like a death mask, into the first in an eternity kind of uncontrollable grin, the first since the depression came back, I am laughing to an audience of asphalt and trees. The noise in my head is quiet. I am back in the beauty of the world, and the walk home.

I was expecting to hear some type of boom bap rap song and was ready to click off, but this hit me on an insanely deep level. 80's esque music has always been close to me and this just feels like that one song titled "most mysterious song on the internet" - an undiscovered, untouched, perfect example of good music/rock. This is something that musicians today can only dream of composing. It almost reminds me of when you just play a super low bass note on a synth and then just do improv on the higher octaves - used to do that as a kid. Man this gives off some psychedelic desert/space space rock vibes with that 80s electronic vibe and i love it. Edit: because i now cant unhear this either, kinda also reminds me of Eddie Hazel making that guitar absolutely weep in Maggot Brain. Really difficult day for me. I spent 20 minutes crying in front of a mirror. And not knowing why, or who I really am. And being really tired of it all. A song that captures that pain for me is On Fye by the Simps. Interestingly, this popped up for me. I am grateful for it today. It carries me along. Two thoughts come to mind: Through these moments there’s a thought that is running that is ashamed to feel. Ashamed might not be quite right - but that I musnt be caught feeling this deeply. Or that I must hide it away. This makes me sob uncontrollably. I am so deeply sad that I have learned to hide away, even from myself. I don’t want that pain anymore. Grieving comes to mind. But I don’t know what I am grieving. Maybe I am grieving for myself. There’s an upside to this. It’s as though I could feel a tsunami hit me inside and shake something loose. It’s a desire to actualize into something that resembles me. To feel more. To not hide away. To not really give a fuck about the rest of it. The rest of it is what I was always told to worry about. I can be whatever it is that I want to be. I won’t be ashamed of that anymore. And I don’t need to numb myself into oblivion trying to bury myself and who I am out of fear that who I am is incompatible with a life well lived. Anyways, not sure why I am typing this on a random youtube comment thread. But I am glad I found this song and I hope if you are out there and are hurting that you can find some peace.

I mean, I have stuff like this and I think I know maybe what it is but I panic over it so much I just make it go away for a bit, but if you had someone you could confide in (like a therapist) to unpack it, maybe you could at least find out maybe what is causing you to depersonalise. It’s funny, I found this last night and listened to it all the way through once, and was surprised that I listened to the whole song, bc I have pretty bad ADHD with videos and tend to skip them if I don’t like the first minute, in most cases, bc the songs are usually not good. This song I kept listening, didn’t even realize it was 7 minutes long bc the more I listened to the song the better it got. Now, it’s the next day and I’m listening again bc I needed to hear it. And listening the next day, it’s even better. This song is something….❤

Are these people too young to remember this almost exact guitar tone/style and synth combo on myriad 80s records, TV shows & films? It fits right in its time perfectly! Agree it’s very reminiscent of a lot of 80s movie soundtracks - probably from a scene where a tough emotionally stunted cop drives around a ghetto wearing a suede jacket shaking down prostitues and pimps looking for his estranged daughter who’s been lured into a life of vice. it’s hardly original even for its own time; considering the early 80s was the time of Coil, flux of pink Indians, DAF, ministry and a host of amazing new wave artists from europe, I think we can safely say this is mediocre.

I start to run downhill, the cold stiffening my face like rigor mortis, like a death mask, into the first in an eternity kind of uncontrollable grin, the first since the depression came back, I am laughing to an audience of asphalt and trees. The noise in my head is quiet. I am back in the beauty of the world, and the walk home.

This song might very well be the embodiment of the 1980s. It takes me back to smoky streets, coca cola cans with ring pulls, kids with headbands doing karate moves on street corners, the smell of hash and serial killers. Its a gem for sure.

even tho i am west german, i get a scene from some friday the 13th movie in my head where jason is catching someone and some street goons, some thughs with Iron chains They stand in the way while smoke comes out from under the drain covers of the streets at night for no reason. I was expecting to hear some type of boom bap rap song and was ready to click off, but this hit me on an insanely deep level. 80's esque music has always been close to me and this just feels like that one song titled "most mysterious song on the internet" - an undiscovered, untouched, perfect example of good music/rock. This is something that musicians today can only dream of composing. It almost reminds me of when you just play a super low bass note on a synth and then just do improv on the higher octaves - used to do that as a kid. Seriously, whoever uploaded this, thank you for sharing with the world. I literally can't explain how much better this is than mainstream music. Holy shit man

So close to the 1M views, hope somehow the band members realize that oneeof their works has come to be appreciated in this sort of way.
Really difficult day for me. I spent 20 minutes crying in front of a mirror. And not knowing why, or who I really am. And being really tired of it all. A song that captures that pain for me is On Fye by the Simps. Interestingly, this popped up for me. I am grateful for it today. It carries me along.
Two thoughts come to mind:
Through these moments there’s a thought that is running that is ashamed to feel. Ashamed might not be quite right - but that I musnt be caught feeling this deeply. Or that I must hide it away. This makes me sob uncontrollably. I am so deeply sad that I have learned to hide away, even from myself. I don’t want that pain anymore. Grieving comes to mind. But I don’t know what I am grieving. Maybe I am grieving for myself.
There’s an upside to this. It’s as though I could feel a tsunami hit me inside and shake something loose. It’s a desire to actualize into something that resembles me. To feel more. To not hide away. To not really give a fuck about the rest of it. The rest of it is what I was always told to worry about. I can be whatever it is that I want to be. I won’t be ashamed of that anymore. And I don’t need to numb myself into oblivion trying to bury myself and who I am out of fear that who I am is incompatible with a life well lived.
Anyways, not sure why I am typing this on a random youtube comment thread. But I am glad I found this song and I hope if you are out there and are hurting that you can find some peace.

ashamed of what? dude maybe you need therapy. Most people don't repress stuff that heavily. I mean, I have stuff like this and I think I know maybe what it is but I panic over it so much I just make it go away for a bit, but if you had someone you could confide in (like a therapist) to unpack it, maybe you could at least find out maybe what is causing you to depersonalise. "what is actually you" really is just whatever you are now and people don't tend to change much. I mean maybe it is a feeling of a loss of something you thought you could be - but most people accept that and move on with whatever life they have, usually finding a hobby. At least you are going through some sort of grief but usually I'm stuck on depression and acceptance is only really temporary solace. Or maybe you're just going through a quarter life crisis or something. Anyways it seems you='ve got it figured enough to type it out so that's something I guess...

It’s funny, I found this last night and listened to it all the way through once, and was surprised that I listened to the whole song, bc I have pretty bad ADHD with videos and tend to skip them if I don’t like the first minute, in most cases, bc the songs are usually not good. This song I kept listening, didn’t even realize it was 7 minutes long bc the more I listened to the song the better it got. Now, it’s the next day and I’m listening again bc I needed to hear it. And listening the next day, it’s even better. This song is something….❤
Seeing this appear randomly to people - 3 years after it was uploaded none the less - makes the music feel extra enigmatic.
