I’ve definitely noticed an increase in my energy and creativity since I’ve been using the standing desk so I wasn’t surprised when I read that a study run by a Harvard professor found that 87% of people who used a standing desk reported increased energy throughout the day. For my desk, the E7 there will be a Flash Sale on November 25th, $160 OFF bit.ly/3Op8Y81. This is the best standing desk for WFH rated by TechRadar!

My physical therapist/ergonomic professional said that you should stand for half an hour, then sit for half and hour or more. Don’t stand and work for more than half an hour at a time.

Stuffed mushrooms were one of my mom’s FAVORITE things to make for a holiday dinner and so, as a favorite memory for me, I also love to make them! Your recipe is almost identical to hers! We LOVE garlic, but I don’t believe she ever made that many to call for 6 cloves, but if she ever did, we would eat them all! 😊 I know she always used Progresso Italian Seasoned Breadcrumbs. I love all of your videos and recipes. They always demonstrate that delicious recipes do not have to be difficult. videoing is in your home is also very relaxing to watch!

I adore mushrooms, especially with butter & garlic. I have never been able to find the perfect balance for stuffed mushrooms, my breading has always come out too dry & dense. I can't wait to try your recipe, Jim. Thanks.
I can't believe how much your son has grown throughout the years. Wow.
My best regards to you & your family, now & during the holidays, Cent'Anni.

This is my Grandmother's stuffed shrooms recipe minus two small ingredients: she squeezes out a small amount of anchovy paste and adds a slight squirt of Worcestershire - both provide a nice umami smoothness and small amount of bite. The same mixture is fantastic for stuffed artichokes. It's heavenly, a sense memory from my youth!

We make these every year and they're always gone within minutes! The written recipe is always linked in the description (it's the little "arrow" on mobile and a "show more" on desktop). In the description, you will also find my shop and other links with cookware/ingredients and all the other things you guys frequently ask about. Thanks as always for liking my videos!

What I love about this channel is how easy you make it feel with your nonchalant attitude towards ingredients….“You don’t like X, don’t use X”….that makes cooking feel very accessible, which is a big reason why I’ve been subscribed for a while now. I’m a cooking nerd and this is by far my favorite channel ❤

Like others have said, I like the fact you list the ingredients but also showing how you prep them. For someone like me who isn't a great cook, showing the prep is just as important as showing the cooking in my opinion. I also love that you bring in your son and wife as taste testers. You can tell when someone is saying something is good just to say it's good, but with a child, there is no faking their reaction. The way he gobbled those up, practically inhaling them, it was obvious he liked them. I was surprised his rating was on 9 out of 10 though. I thought he would have said more than 10 because of how he devoured them. Keep up the great work.

I make almost the exact same stuffed mushrooms and I can attest to the fact that you will have no leftovers. They are delicious. I was happy to see you didn't waste the mushroom stems. I see so many recipes that have you remove them and never mention them again. My daughter and I made them with Stove Top stuffing (without the seasoning bag) when we found ourselves without breadcrumbs. Looking forward to more recipes for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Ha, I caught that too. Years ago, when I was actively trying to progress from a recipe-only cook to a 'by feel' cook, I kept a measuring spoon set spread out on the edge of the counter. I would manually pour those sm ingredients while looking at the set for reference. Same with a big measuring cup and liquid measurements. Over a year or so, I got rid of both and can now eyeball most things. Makes recipes so much easier.

I love to cook and come from a long line of amazing family cooks, so I'm rather picky about YT cooking channels. Yours is one of the few I enjoy watching. Appreciate your no nonsense, straightforward, and easy to understand recipes and techniques. The stuffed mushroom recipe looks delicious and is very close to the one I've been using for several years, with the exception of the white wine, which I will now start incorporating as well. So thank you!

Linda here (Carl and I share an account). I’ve been loving your videos. Great humor, family involvement and delicious recipes! We’re on a sailboat in the Caribbean and I haven’t used the oven in 3 years to help keep the heat off the boat, but you’ve inspired me enough to buy a new oven and get back to it. (I wanted to make one of your other oven recipes but couldn’t get the old oven to light). I’m considered a very good cook and don’t often use recipes, but this stuffed mushroom recipe is at the top of my list. I’ll be substituting crushed pork rinds for the breadcrumbs, though. We’ll be pairing this with a salad to make it into a main course. Can’t wait for the oven to arrive. Thanks again!

I love stuffed mushrooms and garlic and lemon so I just had to try this recipe. I made this today, the flavors were spot on, didn't have enough bread crumbs so I added crushed ritz crackers to the breadcrumbs, didn't have wine so I substituded lemon, the hot pepper added a nice pop to all the flavors, the mushroom caps cooked perfectly in the broth, the bottoms not too soft, not to firm, just right, my only issue was the filling was too moist, I would reduce the liquids next time I make this. 👍👍

It is so great to watch you cook in a very relaxing atmosphere. I sometimes think James will not like your dishes because not many lads his age have such a developed palate! But he most often gets it right and what a lucky lad he is to have a parent that cooks like you do. We enjoy your videos and were surprised a 10 minute video can take so long to edit. You do a great job, keep doing what you're doing!

Stuffed mushrooms! I haven’t tried to make them but my wife makes hers. For holidays or special occasions. Completely different, there is crab meat no lemon, sharp white cheddar but absolutely phenomenal. Supposed to be an appetizer or a snack but… if we are not entertaining guests… yeah 6 big ones are gone in 2 minutes!

I love that you used the mushroom stems and chopped them up fine. That is what I do when I make stuffed mushrooms too. I also like how you just throw in salt and pepper without a measuring spoon. Baking is science, but cooking isn't. You use what you think is right for the dish. I've always cooked that way. When a friend asks for a "recipe" I may have one that I base a dish on, but rarely follow it to a T. Some people are sensitive to ingredients like my mom who thinks regular house black pepper is spicy to my husband that is sensitive to salt. If I cook for either I will hold back on some things if needed.

Congratulations on 500k, this show changed my life, now cooking for my family Friday-Sunday. It is very enjoyable to work in the kitchen and make something my girls love. Pre Covid I travelled overseas for work 50%+ for 20+ years. So once travel shutdown I was home and working from home. Seeing my wife has handled the cooking all this time I decided to help Friday-Sunday and evening I’m not talking to Asia late.
For the first 0-6mos let’s say small crisis, lol, horrible more like it. This is the channel that turned things around. Great dishes that non-chefs can learn how to make. Prep that if not perfect doesn’t destroy the dish, and teaches a broad range of skills. And like this video, is awesome that he differentiates between what require exact precision like the lemon juice and what does not.
Now my girls are excited about the weekend meals and I’m hero dad in the kitchen. It helps too that we live in MN now but are from CT and they grew up around great Italian food. Something unknown out here, lol.
Thank you for what you do! You make a difference…. God Bless✝️

Really appreciate the comment and so happy you're enjoying the recipes. We lived in MN for 3 years and it can be challenging finding Italian food like they make in the Northeast, so making at home is definitely your best bet!

Everyone is always so focused on the main meal and of course dessert, that appetizers are often overlooked. I always make these and you can count on them being a hit (although I make mine differently..) I want to try this version!

Ya know what-that is a great point your wife said about it being a good recipe to help teach kids how to cook. I am going to keep that in mind for my Grandkids. Start with appetizers. Really great point.

The girlfriend loves mushrooms and we have been without an oven for about 6 months during the renovations so I think this will be a perfect celebration to start off with!

Great idea to make this a kid chef's production. They love having signature dishes. This recipe requires a handful of basic cooking skills, is versatile, and looks delicious. I started teaching knife skills and how to handle hot foods when my kids were six.

I had very similar stuffed mushrooms at a pot luck Thanksgiving. They had one ingredient that i could not identify. I questioned the lady about ingredients, and it was minced black olives that added a smoky kind of flavor. I will def be making this recipe. Thanks!

It 100% is formulaic. But I don't see that as a negative at all. It works, I love how you structure your videos. Own the formula, it's a good one

Looks a lot like a stuffed mushroom recipe I used. My only addition is adding minced olives, same amount as the stems, into the stuffing mix. Its a wonderfully simple and delicious recipe. Thanks, and happy new year! 🙂

I just made these. They are delicious! I had to hold back on eating the stuffing. It’s so good and I was thinking about other things I could use it for. I might like them even more than James….who seems like a great kid!

I like that you use a small spoon for stuffing. I started using a sugar spoon for stuffing mushrooms years ago because I couldn't find the big mushrooms. They don't need extra lemon. I like extra parsley for fresh garnish. Happy Turkey Day!

I recently discovered your channel via your quick and easy fall soup video, and I absolutely love your relaxed and honest style of cooking and presenting. You make everything seem doable and approachable, and most importantly, enjoyable! I also really appreciate the fact that you explain why you do things a certain way, because it helps me understand and remember it even when I'm working with a different recipe or making up my own dishes. Thank you so much!!

There is no better feeling than cooking something for your family and having them tell you how delicious it is. James was very sweet. I was also pleased to see your copy of The Man in the Arena (Citizenship in a Republic). I don't see many people who still care about such history these days. Thank you for a wonderful recipe just in time for Thanksgiving.🧡🦃🍂🍁

I LOVE Stuffed Mushrooms. Just sharing: I found a recipe where the mushroom caps were first marinated well in some olive oil and Marsala wine! WOW, it's amazing what that did for them! Made a beautiful sauce when they were baked with a little cheese in a casserole dish.
