That's what I have been saying to everyone. They didn't care, this kind of apathy shows there are no longer real creative people with passion and respect for storytelling. The longer this keeps up. Hollywood, gaming studios, and advertising would fail.
Watching her during her first appearance at the Star Wars franchise, gave me an “Okay” impression of her, she isn’t horrible nor the best in my opinion…, I don’t know maybe her purpose or something else is missing… I can’t quite tell and I personally believe she is more suited to remain a background character. Something lacks in her that I cannot quite point my finger on. Unlike Leia, Padme, Luke, Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Qui-Gon Jinn, who made a significant impact and had compelling reasons to be the main characters.
Each time I see that fight scene at 1:17 I cant stop laughing at the non existent choreography and all the red suit guys running around aimlessly and twisting in circles. Can only imagine SFX team got the shots and were told "make it work"
Um the skywalkers were? What about Obi-wan? What about Revan, the guy that took down Darth Malak and stopped the Sith Empire from using the might of the Infinite Empire?
They’re saying that just to fight back against the people who don’t like Rey, but they’re essentially proving that they only care about their own egos and not about stories or masterpieces. Because of that, they won’t hire Christopher Nolan
My recipe for making Star Wars a relevant series again: 1. go back to what inspired Lucas in creating the original trilogy, and by extension the whole Skywalker story. The topos of the myth, the fairy-tale archetypes, the samurai films and westerns, the science fiction of the 50s, the passion for racing; 2. keep in mind what has been done in the 6 films of the saga in terms of general design, both for what concerns the characters and for what concerns places, buildings, ships, etc. A mix of retro-futurism, fantastic-oriental elements and a pinch of German dystopia from the Second World War; 3. definitely aim for a cinematic trilogy (not a TV series, but a trilogy for the cinema) without any connection with the original saga: we are always stuck either in the imperial era, or in that of the clone wars. So, you need to structure a trilogy that talks about the wars between Jedi and Sith in the Old Republic, it follows... 4. write characters with depth and connections that the audience can make their own. The sequel trilogy lacks any trace of humanity, for better or for worse, they all seem like robots or humans with a broom up where the sun don't shine. You can take inspiration from Kotor and the novels that explore Darth Bane, or you can adapt other stories, like Legacy, but setting them within that chronological panorama; 5. aim for a familiar narrative plot, but different: no more Death Stars 3.0, no more super weapons or inept republics, or Jedi orders that are wiped out off screen. Write a long-lasting conflict, with twists and turns and a relationship of mutual defiance and hatred between the Jedi and Sith protagonists. Above all, expand on what Lucas wrote, but remaining faithful to the type of work done by him and the team that supported him.
when you do fanfiction characters runing jumping and dancing around with glow-sticks and you call it a starwars .... then you ask why people dont like it ? that is the problem
Here’s how they could’ve saved Rey’s character, have her find out that she’s a Palpatine and with that have inner turmoil in which she has to face the dark side of her but though the help of Luke and Leia she over comes it and then at the end of 9th movie have her confront Palpatine than the rest of what happened in Rise plays out and bam a good squeal trilogy!
I actually liked the girl from rouge one over Rey. yes I forgot her name. and I care that much i cared about either of them. But at least her character had an arc, Ray came in knowing everything.
I’m going to fucking explode because it feels like every single show that comes out now is trying to push a political agenda and when it isn’t it’s called “insensitive” or not “diverse” enough. Rey isn’t being hated on because she’s a woman, it’s because her storytelling just was bad and lackluster with barely any depth to it, Star Wars fans love characters like leia and padme and Ashoka, etc because they have good storytelling and personality. Rey just found out she had the force and then was handed talent on a sliver platter when she could’ve had actual character progression and training to show that she WORKED for her abilities instead of them just showing up out of nowhere.
Story + power: legendary character.
Story + no power: lovable and relatable character.
No story + power: Mary Sue.
Rey Fucken Suewalker!
Good Point!

This is why Leia, Ahsoka, Padmé’s, Hera, and Sabine all worked. Hell, even Galen Marek and Starkiller worked
A lot of people would like Rey if she wasn't too OP and had a lot of character development. But nope she's OP and has no character development
In my version of the sequels, I actually write Rey better and a little more relatable. I also make her arc more noticeable.
@@pop-culturecinephile8144 what do you mean your "version"?
@@primal1233, in my take on the sequels. I’m gonna share them soon. I’m just finishing them up
@@pop-culturecinephile8144 where are you going to share them?

Rey is the worst character in the series and honestly that's there own fault would never go see a movie with her again.

It gets better in episode 9 when the troopers have open aim at Rey’s back and instead decide, and this is true, to aim at the ceiling.
Stars wars is cooked
Must've forgotten Ahsoka...
Um the skywalkers were? What about Obi-wan? What about Revan, the guy that took down Darth Malak and stopped the Sith Empire from using the might of the Infinite Empire?
If anuthing, they need to do a reboot
a petition to stop the rayfication

the only hope for star wars now is to use george lucas to make 10 11 & 12 like the 3 4 5 & 6
I rather watch a Monsterverse movie than a rey movie trilogy
WTF????? I thought LucasFilms were the only hope for Star Wars, but now it seems like its only George Lucas.... damn it

Disney, why can't you stop killing legendary characters?
when you do fanfiction characters runing jumping and dancing around with glow-sticks
and you call it a starwars ....
then you ask why people dont like it ?
that is the problem
If Anakin hears about this, he is going to come back from the world between worlds with the youngling slayer 9000

Hahahhaha Rey sucks
This has Kathleen Kennedy's fingerprints all over it

😂 keep up the good analysis
A Palpatine isn't valuable.
