Because Vader wants nothing to do with ‘the Jedi’. That is how talks about himself before he became Vader. He is a different person, another life, he can’t acknowledge he care what happened to ‘the Jedi’.

Vader carries Anakin's pain, resentment and anger. Ahsoka's expulsion was one of the biggest points for Anakin to become disillusioned with the Jedi Order... and it was all Barriss' fault. Remembering that in Clone Wars, Anakin fights with her completely enraged and almost kills her… this type of anger is passed on to Vader.
Vader’s reaction didn’t make any sense.

Vader asked Ahsoka to join him on the dark side so apparently he doesnt care who the person is, as long as they submit themselves to the empire. Vader always gives the optimatum. Join or die. Bariss joined the empire with good intentions which is why vader not sense conflict. It wasnt until Bariss went on missions that she changed her mind about the empire. Even though Vader doesn't acknowledge his former self seeing Offee could have angered him due to her being the reason he lost Ahsoka. Anakin would have been angry at Bariss for betraying the Jedi and Ahsoka. However, he did the same thing but on a massive scale, so there is no reason to hate Bariss if he did the same thing but worse. Despite this, the true reason is that Vader is detaching himself from his former identity as Anakin Skywalker, especially with the personality of what and who Anakin likes and hates. Sidious "advises" (orders) Vader to do this and threatens him with "death" and torture if he does not do so. Fans who really want to have an idea of what Vader is thinking at this point should read the Darth Vader comics where he is hunting Jedi and even supporting the Empire's invasion of Mon Cala.

It seems as if everyone has forgotten this part about Vaders character, he has always tried to distance himself from his past life and try to forget about it which is why he always refers to Anakin as dead, if he ever were to see someone from his past life he would never say about it out loud or tell them that he was Anakin or something, there was only very VERY rare moments where he would reveal his identity in the comics but other then that he would not say a thing. He may internalise in his mind, yes. It also adds to the fact that he seemingly kept giving the Inquisitors in Rebels Second chances which is very rare so i feel like even then Anakin had some compassion left

@@riley-dv8eu yeah he would've giving Ezra the same fate as he did to those jedi younglings, yet he didn't which is a sign that there's some good in him still, at least he would've if he wasn't interested in asking him how he activated the sith temple and all.

Don’t usually comment, but Vader did try kill Ahsoka in Rebels when they meet during the worlds between worlds. He was angry with her because she left when he needed her the most. He probably just didn’t care anymore in this scene

Vader doesn't want to reveal his past. No one but Tarkin, Palpatine, and Thrawn know he is Anakin. If he were to ever reveal himself to Barriss or take revenge, she'd know who he is.
Secondly, Vader does NOT know that Ahsoka is alive. It's why in Rebels, when they first encounter each other, Vader says "So...the Apprentice lives" because he has now found that out himself.

I think there’s an aspect of hate that Vader has towards her. I think he stayed silent because he couldn’t be bothered to acknowledge her existence. Even though she has now joined the same side as him, he probably still has a lot of pain and anger because of her. Essentially she was the reason him and Asoka got separated. I think he just stayed silent because he literally did not care about her. Or he was fighting back the urge to kill her.

Then Ahsoka gets Barriss on the ground pointing her lightsaber at her and speaking. you were my best friend Barriss, I can't understand why betrayed that. but I do owe you thanks for opening my eyes and leaving the Jedi order was the best thing I done. She turns off her lightsaber. if you want to kill me then go ahead but I forgive you. turn around and walk away.

I agree with the video. That was Anakin's life and he wouldn't tell people who he was. We know what Vader did to people, namely imperials who saw him without his mask on. Despite Anakin's resentment towards Barris he wouldn't show it. That makes a lot more sense that he was plotting something instead.

  • @tiffles3890
    @tiffles3890 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    What would he even say?
It's not like he goes flaunting his Anakin Skywalker identity, neither is he some sort of dull witted oaf that he'll hiss and rage every time he sees a person he fought against in the past.
He's there to further the business of the Empire. If Bariss is useful, fine, if not, she gets disposed off. That's all.

Aside from the "they/them" debacle, tales from the empire was fantastic. Could they have covered better charicters? Sure. But you got to admire Dave Faloni's animation team. My biggest complaint was run time. I wish these episodes were full-length and i wish they covered more of the backstory of the Fouth sister, i like the charicter despite having little appearances through out the saga.

  • @aodhhanswtor7252

Why would he say anything, not to just Barriss but any of them? He may have knew some as Jedi. They are now far beneath his position. Vader never spoke "in a personable way" to anybody who hasn't earned some respect for and/or is far beneath him.
However, Vader does realize Barriss' potential with the Dark Side. Of course he senses some conflict. She was just released from prison and has no idea exactly what her future entails. There were other inquisitors who were conflicted. Especially with hunting young force wielders.
Vader felt conflict with Reva (for years); however, she displayed POTENTAL with the Dark Side. This is why more than one inquisitor was allowed to stay despite some internal conflict. Vader and Palpatine both knew it would play out. They weren't training Sith. They were training tools to hunt Jedi. Don't forget. Anakin dealt with conflict for years as a Jedi, and of course we find out in the end, his conflict still existed. It was just buried. Palpatine and the Dark Side was all Vader had until Luke.
When it comes to the "friend". Many will jump and think of Ahsoka. Yet. This could also be anyone associated with The Path as well.
When it comes to SW Animation. I hope this stays alive and well. It would be nice for Dave Filoni to take up an apprentice himself, and give them a series to create. Maybe even something associated with The Path. Quinlan Voss and others. This is a way for Disney to heal the wounds of having so many survivors and building the Jedi of the future for Rey's upcoming big screen movies.
