To get a flawless, full coverage foundation, it isn’t just applying a full coverage foundation all over and calling it good. There’s so much more that goes into it, from properly prepping your skin, to blending and most importantly SETTING. I’ll be sharing some of my top tips and techniques on how to achieve a smooth, flawless, full coverage foundation that will wear all day long.

I am a grandmother, Nikki, & have no idea why your vlog was sent to me. Since I am here - I will share something I have learned after using make-up for 50+ years. I discovered, over time, what you mentioned here. Switch things up. It is just like what some medicines have warnings about. Your body develops a ‘tolerance’ to products used over & over again. The great results quit happening after a while - but as long as you switch things up - you can continue to get great results from most good products.
This was the absolute best, most easiest to follow, very explanatory way to apply base makeup to powders and everything in between about application. Friendly for beginner or adv. I’ve been watching beauty gurus for 10 yrs and hands down you have the best tutorial. Please do more like this!

You are such a hidden gem on TH-cam. I just found your channel via your drugstore makeup video. I had to retire early 10 years ago due to serious health issues, so I have worked to move from high end to affordable products. But, what I love so much, is watching your application techniques. They are so intentional, and you use much less product and smaller brushes than I'm used to seeing from watching influencers. My problem right now is finding a foundation that will work on my almost 60 years old skin. LESS is more, I know that. And I have tried many drugstore and some high end products, but I end up having to mix a more matte foundation with a dewy one. My next purchase will be the Sheisedo Self Refreshing foundation. Sorry for the "novel," but I think you should have 100k subs or more!!

Great tips and I noticed with my skin type (combo/normal) I do not need to put primer only t-zone and inner parts of my cheeks close to my nose area. I have larger pores. It is quite a lot of steps especially for powdering. I just set my areas of oiliness Hourglass Ambient powders, which is great and does not leave any cakey look.
The time necessary to do all these steps gives you no time to do everyday stuff like going to work perhaps. Very pretty but ridiculous!

I have textured dry skin so whenever I wear makeup it looks heavy :( can’t wait to try out these tips.
I like using powder foundation, I have oily acne prone skin and the glo minerals helps to keep my skin clear. Do you have any tips to make powder look more flawless also?
Love your videos. What color should I use to color correct acne scars and what is a good concealer for that
Thank you so much for watching! And this is a topic I plan on tackling soon on my channel, but to answer your question it depends, if your scars are more red then I would use a green tone to calm the redness then use a thick, cream formula concealer. If your scars are darker in pigmentation then you’d need to color correct with possibly something more orange hued, but these are just guesses since I don’t know exactly what color they are. ❤️

This was sooo helpful! I have been putting on my color corrector in the wrong order… under foundation. I was wondering where the blush step fits into this process? Not sure if I missed it. Also, can you explain the difference in powder for baking and then the type you use to finish and dust off after. You emphasized that certain ones shouldn’t be used in case of flashback. I have Givenchy Libre pink, Laura Mercier blur and RCMA no color. Are these ok for baking or setting? Thank you for such a thorough and practical guide that isn’t rushed, and for taking the time to explain the why behind each step.

What about us girls with thin under-eye skin with fine lines/wrinkles? Would we change our concealer technique?
I actually have VERY thin skin under my eye as well plus (very) fine lines. This is where I suggest you adjust to what works best for your skin. For me personally I like a lot of coverage so I use a good amount of concealer but that won’t be necessary for everyone.
