awesome video as always. you made a interesting point about how someone might cut their stick, and how that mess's with flex/kick point. this is very much overlooked. im 5'10 and use 70-75 flex with the stick cut to my chin on skates. people always ask how im able to shoot snap shots " pull and drag" so hard. then i look at their 85-87 flex sticks cut 5 inches and tell them to start, get a new stick. looking forward to a trigger 9 pro vid and sherwood code encrypt.
Gotcha. Man, CCM was/is my fav stick maker (last 5 years-ish) but these blades are just ruining the great twigs. Might check out the twitch (for my son). I actually went from FT6 Pro to Nexus Tracer this year (decent twig). My son has a FT7 Pro (it’s done); thinking about trying twitch or maybe something from warrior for him. Thanks for the reply. Cheers. Love the videos.
Awesome videos! Have you ever thought of doing a tape comparison? I went to a few hockey shops today, and saw multiple brands and types, with a very wide spectrum of cost. I wonder if the tape makes any difference, butt end and blade.
Hey man, it's been a while! Nice video! Believe it or not, I've been using a Hyperlite 2 since June and it's still going strong! It means this is the most durable stick I've used in 2024! lol Anyways, I hope you guys are doing well; keep up the good work! Oh, BTW, I got CCM XF skates (Not the Pro version) on 11/8. The Bauer Shadows I had kinda started to slowly cause pain in my heels for some reason. I've been liking them so far, but I'm guessing you should probably stick to the Vapors if you ever get new skates.
Hey Chris! Was wondering how you were making out. We should catch up. No fricking way that’s impressive. I’ve been toying with a couple different sticks. That sucks with the shadows I have same with my hy2 skates always pain. I’m in Mexico tomorrow but I’ll text yeah when back Dec 8
@ Oh nice, have a good time! Yeah I’ve been in police academy since July, but I should be done on 12/30. I’m hoping I can start making videos again after that.
Thank you for another great review! Mine weighed in at 356g. So far I have found it to be a great stick when I'm less then 15 feet from the net and not so great beyond that but that's probably just me 😅
It looks like the tendency now is going toward longer kick-zones on the sticks, as you’ve mentioned, better for snap, no so good for wristers. Was exactly same on Ft7 vs ft6 jetspeed. And now twich vs agent. I hope trigger 9 will come nice and “short”. Ordered one today, lets see. Trigger 8 was very good stick, but too “slow” for a low-kick. I like the qr6 for quick release, but it's really a “one-trick-pony”, you will give it something like 2 on shooting 😉
As you mentioned in the video CCM trigger 9 pro would be the leader by a wide, medium or low margin versus the Twitch then? Or have a duel with those two plus the Warrior QR6 pro which Tommy adores and wait for it.....a mystery stick blacked out.
I would love to put sticks together in vids but it’s challenging as generally I only have one or two at a time and when I’m done they break or I need to sell to get the next one. The trigger is the better stick even with a sketchy blade in overall performance as it’s not that much heavier and shoots better. I want to get the qr6 As felt really nice in store and shooting in demo
I really do want to but budget is hard. It’s why hockey tutorship frustrates me they can help So many people but they can’t bite that hand that feeds em. If the channel grows more It’s the plan
I felt like the Agent was 10x better then the twitch but it could just be preference. I hate the angle of the shaft when stick handling with the twitch feels like I have to really roll my wrists over to corral the puck
The agent was a much better shooter. The agents blade was weird though because of how light it was so a lot of people hated it. I prefer a stick with best shot though so I preferred the agent too
So jealous of you out there without full gear. I’ve almost quick practicing hockey now that my rink requires full gear every time I’m out there..even out there alone. Bogus. I just skate now
The current ccms with helicoid have by far the worst durability as the helicoid is actually a manufacturing defect. Other top sticks from true also have a manufacturing defect in their fuse point in the hosel which makes them very easy to break. With that said other top sticks are not “durable” but do not have these defects, warrior, Sherwood, pro, Bauer top sticks are fine but remember they are still top light sticks so they aren’t “durable” if you want durability get a team stick. But if you don’t want your 400$ stick breaking in 2 games avoid helicoid and true right now Previous gen ccm ft5,6, trig 6,7, Bauer sync, hyperlite, warrior , and especially the Sherwood element 1 rekker were far longer lasting
As I mentioned it’s still a boron stick it has improved durability at the higher weight so if those sticks are your jam it still maybe your best go. Just don’t expect it to last infinitely longer than the agent you get more out of it for sure but it’s nothing crazy
Thank you. Surprisingly with the longer taper over the agent I think they tried to improve the slappers overall. But yes it has much better snappers for sure
They can’t quite find the crazy release and shot of the agent here but it’s decent offering. I heard the next innovation stick may have nailed it friend of mine manager at hockey shop and was just at the Bauer gathering
@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviewsNew innovation stick for next season in my opinion (and for my style of shooting) is awsome, I've never had anything like this in my hands

I always look fwd to your reviews. Keep them coming!
You got it thanks for the support
the man is back.
Slowly butt surely!
Missed opportunity with box. Should have put a glow stick or Christmas lights inside to simulate the stupid lights they sent reviewers
Haha I did miss that dammit!
So glad BeerLeagueBum is back!
Thanks. Definitely trying!

Exactly! You are helping them a lot hopefully they actually take your advice because it’s totally messing up peoples stick specs
Tommy cut his encrypt pro so short he lost the grip on bottom hand - basically gave it a 0 score.
@@btsdksn correct. Also Sherwood flex seems more stiff vs other brands so I’m sure that played a part
@ I saw that and shook my head. You can’t over do that and expect the stick to perform
Yep, I'm 5'8 and use a 70 flex cut down 1-2 inches. Puts me in the 75ish flex zone, which is right about where I want it.
Good to see you again Justin, looking good!
Long time my man! Hope all is well.
Like and share for an honest reviewer
Appreciate it!
Thanks for the stick the other day, been enjoying the quick shot a lot
I’m glad it’s working for you!!
Bauer Twitch or CCM Vizion (personal preference)?
Haven’t used the vision but it has a helicoid blade so if you haven’t hear dust trash yet best to watch some of my videos. Twitch will be prefered

Twitch is great and both warrior sticks are solid all round. Unfortunately best to pass on ccm until the helicoid fiasco is dealt with
*coughTommy* 😂 I almost choked on my lunch 🤣
Hehe glad I made ya laugh
At least with all the ads we just watched should help pay for it 😂
I get a whole 80$ a month from that lol I hate ads too
The Tommy sneeze got me 😂
Haha gotta have one jab
Awesome videos!

No I haven’t but I shall consider it always looking for new ideas
Love your vids, appreciate u, God bless
Thank you!
Would love to hear where the QR6 Pro stands in the tier list!
On the list probably lol darn stick releases came fast

Great, you're finally back! :-) Nice video about the twitch! Will you be making a video about the Bauer Shadow Skate? Best regards
Thanks glad to be back. With skates being crazy expensive the next skate I will review is the fly light the next Vapor. I saw leaks already for summer
@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews where did you see the leaks for the new vapor I’ve been looking everywhere
@friend in industry. It’s pretty tight lipped right now to far out.
Waiting for your review of the Tracer
Coming. But I’m in Mexico next week so have a slight delay on those 3 remaining sticks on the list
Thank you for another great review! Mine weighed in at 356g. So far I have found it to be a great stick when I'm less then 15 feet from the net and not so great beyond that but that's probably just me 😅
It is definitely a better stick the closer you are to the net. I’m a long range shooter so isn’t my best weapon that’s for sure
It looks like the tendency now is going toward longer kick-zones on the sticks, as you’ve mentioned, better for snap, no so good for wristers.

The trigger is similar but shoots slightly better than twitch. Qr6 does seem like quick release only but it’s 60 day warranty is intriguing
As you mentioned in the video CCM trigger 9 pro would be the leader by a wide, medium or low margin versus the Twitch then? Or have a duel with those two plus the Warrior QR6 pro which Tommy adores and wait for it.....a mystery stick blacked out.

Much appreciated
Love the unbiased reviews! Any plans to review mid range sticks for average income?
I really do want to but budget is hard. It’s why hockey tutorship frustrates me they can help
So many people but they can’t bite that hand that feeds em.
If the channel grows more
It’s the plan
You should review the new pro stick hockey sticks new high performance VX low kick stick.
On the list, we need to get a hold of one!
😂😂😂 the Bauer family 💰
🤣
I felt like the Agent was 10x better then the twitch but it could just be preference. I hate the angle of the shaft when stick handling with the twitch feels like I have to really roll my wrists over to corral the puck

I like the new tier list idea
It’s going to take some time but to many new sticks to place on old one and the old ones aren’t irrelevant so best just to start new
When’s the next video? What’s it gunna be on??
@ trigger 9 Wednesday. Xf pro in a week or so, kick points and flexes before end of year I hope
@ thanks man. Always look forward to your videos!
@ the trigger 9 is a gem.
Can’t wait to release it
That box is funny
I thought so myself
Hey, the Patreon link isnt clickable on mobile. Just letting you know. Great Video btw.
Appreciate you letting me know. I’ll fix that ASAP.
Taking clappers with a 450 dollar stick… just keep it within the 30 day window lol
Yeah only go hard for that first 30 then you have to be careful lol
So jealous of you out there without full gear. I’ve almost quick practicing hockey now that my rink requires full gear every time I’m out there..even out there alone. Bogus.
I just skate now
Really? Dang that’s bunk. Yeah I rather not get into full gear for a shooting session that’s for sure
I see you critiquing most of the sticks durability. have went through 3 ccm this szn, what stick is actually worth looking into?
The current ccms with helicoid have by far the worst durability as the helicoid is actually a manufacturing defect.

@ i also recongnised the defects when i got my true 9x3 wich lasted me 2 weeks.
@ yeah they are almost worse then helicoid to be honest
Would you recommend? Had a hyperlite OG and 3 Ag3nts but all broke
As I mentioned it’s still a boron stick it has improved durability at the higher weight so if those sticks are your jam it still maybe your best go. Just don’t expect it to last infinitely longer than the agent you get more out of it for sure but it’s nothing crazy
My guyyy
Bam !
This stick wasn’t designed for slap shots and one timers. Your snaps were absolute rockets!
Thank you. Surprisingly with the longer taper over the agent I think they tried to improve the slappers overall. But yes it has much better snappers for sure
@ I just ordered a twitch for myself. I had the agent but didn’t care for it that much. I’m right with ya though I love light sticks. Miss my ADV :/
@ I never used the advs wish I did back in the day
great vid but i think you might need a new mic
Yeah I dunno why everyone I buy is crap. I’ll do some research and find something better
agent might be one of the best sticks Bauer ever made but has the durability issue
They can’t quite find the crazy release and shot of the agent here but it’s decent offering. I heard the next innovation stick may have nailed it friend of mine manager at hockey shop and was just at the Bauer gathering
@ that sounds promising
@@ISB97 yeah summer though :(
@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviewsNew innovation stick for next season in my opinion (and for my style of shooting) is awsome, I've never had anything like this in my hands

I have a twitch and it is way overhyped. It has a great release but that's pretty much it.
Agreed
I'll never pqy 450 for a twig though. I don't care how good they are.
Yep crazy money
Warrior qr6 pro
On list but lots to do
Only thing that twitched was the toe which chipped first game …
