I could'nt see the whole live yesterday, but i saw a couple of minutes and it sounded great. I've been spending a lot of time trying to sound like Adam, and you're there analyzing each part of the song, trying to emulate it as closest as you can is simply amazing.
The only difference between the original track and its recreation is that your recording is way clearer, crispier and full-spectrum frequency-wise. I'm happy you didn't suppress it to match the muddy, narrow album master track. Stellar job! I would love to see your take on the guitar tones from Rosetta Stoned (clarity and moderate saturation are the key terms here)

Firstly, totally awesome!! The only single thing I could fault is just before the "Keep my feet back on the ground" with the fast 333 mute then 555... that goes 555, 557, 555 "...back on the ground", he does that 557 in the middle, and that's me just being super picky. Great job :)
I watched most of your live video and enjoyed watching you record the different parts. I think you have a little too much gain on the tracks. I also revisited this song today with my gear. I’m not sure that the flanger is used for most of the parts. With just the tone knob turned down with my VH4 and my BE 100 Dlx, my tone sounded like the song. Other parts I did use the BF2 and my DD6. I understand it’s easier to play and record with amp sims, but they just don’t give you the right tone. After saying all that, you play very well, and I enjoyed watching you record the different parts. Looking forward to the next song. 🤘
You’re right, I’m just gonna go buy a $4000 amp, $1000 cab, $1000 pedalboard, $1000 of mics, and rent a studio and engineer for $3000/hr. Then it’ll be perfect.

You’ve missed my point completely. I’m trying to capture it with what I have. Not all of us can just go buy his rig. You can, and have. So I’d say don’t check it out. I don’t have the rig I have because it’s “easier to play and record”. I have it cause it’s what I can afford. And I consider myself very fortunate to even have what I have. Of course you sound closer to his tone. Why wouldn’t you? You have his rig. So please, don’t check it out. You’re not the intended audience. Me and everyone else in the world are going to keep trying our best with what we have. Enjoy your rig 👍

Second, I don’t agree with the flanger being on for most of the parts. I may be wrong. And yes, I bought gear. I’m fortunate. 🤷🏼♂️ Take it easy. You asked for constructive criticism in your live feed. Sorry I couldn’t watch it live and tell you then. And I’m probably 1 out of 15 people that watched almost the whole 4.5 hrs of your video. I heard your first points. Too much gain. No flanger. You may be right about those things. I think you have the wrong idea as to why people may use amp sims. It’s not because it’s the best option there is. Its like going up to someone in a beat up Honda and telling them they could buy a Ferrari and it’d be better. No shit.

I like to play along with some of the bass parts in the verses and part after the 2nd chorus, and I even include the note at the end.
