did you guys do a cost break down? would love to see what the estimate would have been from a paint shop....i know a paint shop gave me an estimate of around 8k to do my 23 foot motorhome a few years back....macco actually. is there a link of a close up of the finished rv? thanks
Looks good & nice choice of blue 👍 great job guys I have just got a big motorhome with little dents that need attention then I will be painting the hole motorhome👍👍 cheers & BIG RESPECT👊😎👍💚
Job Well Done! I'm finishing the interior reno of my 98 C Class RV and reading to begin exterior painting. Watching U has been very motivating! I'm going with RaptorLiner/bed coating for the lower section n hope it looks as good as yours.
I dunno, we did a light sanding most places, and it just stuck? I don't think we did anything special. We don't have a super glossy finish and it was pretty rough/ faded and dried out before.
May I ask whatcthe final cost was in comparison to hiring it done‽ My rig is 34 ft and the process scares me, but..... cant justify spending 8 to 10k on a 25 year old rig!
Don't worry about rv resorts no wanting older rvs . They will snob anyone they wish. They have even refuse class B vans because the don't consider them rvs. There are state parks and bundocking areas. With the plandemic everything have change for new rvs. The shorter of supply to build the rv have turn buyers seeking older rv. Good luck and enjoy your accomplishments.
I’ve had our faded, sun dried, well used and somewhat neglected coach next to some $1.5 million Prevost coaches in some incredibly nice parks. They don’t appear to care unless your stay is longer than 30 days. Sad to say, it just gives them a reason to reject you for other reasons. Thankfully never rejected and shown as much or little love that one would expect from a consumer industry. Nothing but love from the other campers! Nice job on yours!!
Good day if you and your family are going to keep the RV put some money into it the reason for me saying this is there are alot of RV parks that don't let older RV in because of the year they have something called the 10 year rule look it up alot of RV parks don't like alot of older RV because they think that RV after 10 years old have alot of problems like oil leaks and smoking and they don't want older RV to make there park look bad because of all the luxury RV they have of today I new about the 10 year rule but when I was at a RV park I ask a older man that and he said the same thing that I am saying to you and your husband.I have been Raving for 25 years and I had 2 of my best friend buy a older RV and it happened to them and there family and they had to go and buy a newer RV just so they can blend in I just don't want the same thing happen to you and your family happy champing and God Bless.
I Love It! It looks great. You guys motivated me to try my own work on my 2001 Ford F53.
That's Awesome! Go for it!
Love it I’m going to try this method 💞
Good luck! Get the Tape and Drape I recommend in the description (link included). It will be a game changer. Wish we had found it sooner!
Thank you thank you thank you for posting your journey!!!!! It looks AMAZING
Thank you! I'm glad you like it. Are you RVing?

Awesome! Let us know how it goes. Good Luck! and get this stuff, it's a game changer for masking! Tape and Drape: amzn.to/3aA0GHJ
Tape guns would have helped a lot with different sized paper rolls or 8ft wide plastic
Maybe, but it’s hard to be as accurate as you need to without both hands, nothing is perfectly straight...
Wanting to know what you did to get paint to adhere to the trim in the middle

Do you guys know how many cans of White and black you used total?
What type of paint did you use.🤔
We just used the dupilcolor paint we could find at Autozone in the quart containers.
Congrats 👏 👏 👏 you both look great and happy with your results. Hope I build some courage to do the same.

Not impossible to keep the overspray off things. You just need more tarps and tape. Good job, though, guys.

Thanks! So far we haven’t run into any problems with the campsites we’ve chosen!
