Gungrave is the batshit craziest track I've ever heard from ERRA in the best possible way. The drumming is absolutely phenomenal.
Definitely up there with Vaalbara.
Erra nailed this album. Vanish Canvas is my favorite song off the album.

The first time i seen them live (and the only time) i was so shocked on how good they put on a show and this was like 2 years ago lol
Kinda reminds me of Thomas Erak from The Fall of Troy. Seeing him play crazy riffs and do vocals at the same time just blew my mind.

Not the biggest ERRA fan but actually really enjoying this album. Gungrave was one of my favorites as well.
If you enjoy this album, go listen to Augment. The structures and feeling are pretty similar, two of (if not) the greatest albums of all time.
@@sarcasm4371 I've listened to all of ERRA's albums. Augment was definitely one of their better albums. Neon and Drift I thought were very mediocre. I definitely prefer this self titled album over those two.
@@Engineer_Heathen dude drift was pretty solid. Nothing will top Augment. but drift had orchid which was ridiculous, Continuum, the Hypnotist, Drift was a pretty dope track as well. the finger tapping was all over the place, every song had a solo. it definitely grew on me over time.
Augment is incredible though

Their best album since Augment for me imho, I still enjoyed Drift and Neon, but there was something missing for me personally. Also, I'm glad JT is shining more on this album, he doesn't have the same beast mode delivery as Garrison(first vocalist), but he still shows his range way more on this album. He's one of the best screamer I've seen live, he's absolutely flawless, the phrasing and breathing technique he showcases live is top-notch.
One of metal-cores best albums of the last decade
There's more ERRA's albums up there i think, such a god tier band.

Im so glad you noticed the Misery Signals sound. This album reminded me of the very first time i listened to the "Mirrors" album.

You’re surprised at 1:04 with the transition of heavy to ambience but Misery Signals and Hopesfall did that all the time. Erra is the new age Mis Sigs and I’m here for it.

I don't think they'll ever top Augment, but this album is pretty damn close.
Exactly. Augment was so good and had so much emotion within its writing.. But also, a lot of people dont know it was their previous second guitarist. He has good writing technique, and adds so much phrasing to music. Anyway. My two cents, this albums rocks, but I totally agree.
Probably as close as they'll ever get with the current lineup. It's very good, but aint no topping Garrison's vocals and Alan's insane riff game.
Idk it's very close. I think if dementia wasn't on augment, I'd pick this one easily. But that song is fucking epic.

I think this is the best track on the album. Evident by the fact, that on the day the album came out I was listening to it on repeat well into the night.
this album has some of the best choruses the metalcore scene has ever heard.

Mental Cruelty- Ultima Hypocrita their latest song off their new upcoming album. Doubt you’ll be disappointed.
I have Misery Signals lyrics tattooed across my chest. “Let’s make history. Let’s make history stop.” And Erra sounds like Misery Signals 2.0. I don’t mind if history is repeated lol. This track is FIRE.

Def. in the top 5 albums of this year along w/ Architects's and probably Gojira's "Fortitude".
Coming back to this months later. I honestly think Gungrave by ERRA or Panopticon by Silent Planet were my favorite metalcore tracks of the year.
by far is great track so far in 2021 ,from all different angles 10/10 , 7 star drumming from Alex Balew

I have no clue why you wouldn't be an Erra fan after all these years.
This is high-quality stuff, even sometimes "bangers" coming from new Erra, but the best Erra was when Garrison was the vocalist.

Going between heavy and ambiance is the definition of metal core. Killswitch Engage invented it IMO

Lunar Halo, Electric Twilight & Vanish Canvas are the best tracks on the album.
And that's like saying those are 20/10 songs out of all the other 10/10 songs.

These are my personal favorites, but the entire album is straight 🔥🔥🔥. Def. one of the best albums of 2021.
