Anyway, thanks a lot for this! I've been a huge fan of Erra for a long time and this self-titled album is a true masterpiece. The best album of 2021 for me personally, no contest. im late to the party, but someone told me if i liked trust fall by spiritbox (which is one of my absolute favourite spiritbox songs), i'd love vanish canvas. they were far from wrong. when the last part opened up it made me cry, especially with that last scream. truly a beautiful musical masterpiece

This fucking album man, what a journey start to finish, I firmly believe this is some of, if not the best work they have done....also seen a previous comment about Loathe, a full album reaction to I let it in and it took everything would be amazing, AOtY 2020 for me.
I transitioned from being a power lifter to running marathons whilst doing some power lifting still, and when I was running through a very difficult 15 mile run, vanish canvas came on. I had heard it once before, but hearing it through this run hit different. I was tired, sweating, pushing my body and spirit as hard as I could. For some reason, I burst into tears. I put my arms out and embraced that feeling, and kept going. It was extremely cathartic, and I relive it every time I hear the song now. “Let this moment break your heart Something greater to impart” … I also realize a giant 6’1” 240 lb man running, drenched in sweat and tears, is probably a hilarious and freakish sight.
Just was going back through this album and found your reaction to it, and man you'd be my dude to get a pint and talk about this stuff haha reactions are too similar. Good stuff man keep it up 🤟 subbed.
Solid video man, This album is one of the best this year so far in my opinion such a cohesive mix of songs on the album i love how both vocals compliment each other aswell,Vanish canvas reminds me of periphery a little bit. You should checkout the new Landmarks album its got some crazy tracks on it.

I was listening along with Vanish Canvas and my mind was taken to the 30 Seconds To Mars "Kings & Queens" video where they're all riding through Los Angeles on pushbikes, and you said that it'd be a bunch of teenagers skating through the night to a sunrise. It's crazy how music can evoke these scenes in your mind, and even crazier how two people can take such similar scenes in their minds from hearing the same music. Very, very cool. It's my favourite track off the album for sure.

If you like secret and whisper checkout Tidebringers new track Hell. Their clean vocalist is a carbon copy of the secret and whisper (the bleeding alarm) singer Charles. Also they have Secret and Whispers drummer in their lineup as well.
I personally think this album is the best Jesse’s vocals have been. My favourite is probably Electric Twilight, House of Glass, or Vanish Canvas. Hard to pick, though.

Funny, I feel the same way. I think vanish canvas is better, though. I remember when Drift (the album) came out, and some people were mad hating on it. They hated the “soft” feel, and the experimentation. Now, people seem to love it unanimously.

Been listening to them for 10 years. I agree entirely. They've ruined almost every other metalcore band for me.
