Appreciate the in-depth video for before and after, however laird performance in Scotland is seeing gains of 240bhp and 500nm, hopefully it’s not a weak remap and doesn’t damage the turbo
I have a totally standard mk3.5 Diesel with laird performance stage 1 remap and it makes a staggering 241bhp. stock it was 190bhp all dyno tested. Be aware all sticking on a Free flow airfilter can cause the ST Deisel to go into limp mode.
They are a great bunch of people if you're local, it is a basic stage pre made map the load onto the car but that's what anyone does these days, the power gains are small and barely noticeable but fuel economy is better and it sits a lot nicer on the motorway, but yer I recommend them to look after you well, let them know I sent you 😁🤙 thanks
@Kirkham66 thanks for the info, I'm just down road from them, I've shopped around and all the gains on pretty much every company is basically same, im happy with stock but just to have a little more torque and bhp would be a bonus, il show them the video, keep up the ST vids, 👍

Great video fella but I'd check on those torque figures... They're supposed to be 295lbs ft from factory so running 209 pre-map and 279 post-map doesn't sound right at all.
With stage one not a problem at all, even stage 2 is fine. Take a look at my other video stock Vs stage 2 where my friend goes into detail about that 👍
@@Kirkham66 Very happy to hear that. I'm planning to buy this car and I find the performance of the stock car pretty underwhelming considering the numbers, so stage 1 is a must. Are there any general reliability concerns, regardless of remap? I found one with only 43k miles on clock ^^
@@MyRealName definitely recommend buying one! Great cars, but unless you push them to stage 2 the performance isn't amazing but great for a daily car with a kick when you need it. In terms of reliability not a problem at all as long as you maintain them as usual 👍 good luck with the purchase my friend 🤙

@@Hellndegenerates well obviously, it’s got more bhp😂 but then again you’ve spent hundreds of pounds to get it to probably stage 3 and the petrol comes 250bhp standard, if the petrol was stage 3 you looking at about 380bhp.

That is a incredible difference in figures! Is that on stock intercooler and hoses? I'll look into that! Appreciate the advice 🤙
I've got 240 and 513nm
Had stage 3 278hp and 570nm but the clutch went
Something is wrong here... 283nm? Stock is 400nm xD, i have an stage 1 remap With 220bhp and 448 nm :/
Lower power low torque on standard is much healthier and safer then laird Performance standard to much power n torque for standard vehicles

It's a mistake in the video, you can hear his buddy at 5:30 saying the correct figures, which is 300 lbft and 340 lbft post remap :)

Can you map a 2015 focus st deisel with 130000 miles on the clock?
If all your services like Cambelt is up to date then go for it bud 👍 probably wouldn't do anymore than stage 1 but that's up to you
@Kirkham66 what you looking at for a stage one,cam belt and water pump changed last your,also had yearly service without fail.

Should of got the petrol st-3, 250bhp standard.
But £20 road tax on the diesel 👌 😂

Diesel st is quicker 60-100 by a couple of seconds stock than stock petrol st 👍
