It's wild how similar the diesel car sounds to the petrol version.

I had my stage 2 on my fiesta st3 done with pumaspeed, and now im looking at getting the focus st3 diesel. Very tempted to take it to PS to have the stage 2 with them again.
I have a red st tdci and they are very quick so looking forward to modifying it in a year or two and love the pumaspeed mods so nice to see them in action so more vids please.
Clive Calvert I’ve just had one I’m thinking of getting a the stage 1 remap does it improve the acceleration like 0-62 do you know this?
How is an tuned Focus ST Diesel compared to a tuned Golf GTD?
I driven a stock ST Diesel, and I was a little disappointed by the engine compared to a stock GTD, although in driving dynamics the Focus was definitely superior (and I love those recaro seats!).
Would a tuned TDCI (around 250cv) be at the same level as a tuned TDI?
I'm a satisfied Golf GTD@250cv owner, after 400000km (Although it still works very well) the time for a new (or a fresh used) car is come , but I don't like to re-buy just the new model of the same car, (always the same of the same).
Maybe the ST Diesel will be my next car?

I’ve got a 65 st 3 diesel in black still running stock,wouldn’t know where to start with mods but stage 1 blue fin is not bad 225 430 nm.Considering it after November when warranty runs out Round it off nicely,
430nm? 30nm how is it possible to get so little power
@@ewelinakryszczyszyn423 went with puma speed in the end got 235 bhp 490 nm 👍
@deyon100 how did your car do with the stage 1 map long term?
@JackT-ht2pg like I said I didn't have it long term I changed to a petrol version but I've seen videos on the puma speed map and they were happy
Alex did you uprate the rear engine mount on the st tdci. been talking to Pumaspeed and they couldn't remember if it was upgraded. cheers Steve
Gtd interior is quality + it maps well if specced with a dsg. Surprised you discounted it.

Gtd golf are built for economy and hard to tune past stage 1 without big investment
What do the bonnet vents actually do, are they simply a cosmetic thing?

How well does that mk2 rs spoiler fit the mk3 focus? It should fit straight onto my zetec s as it uses the same connections I think

Hopefully you're near the Midlands or West London, I'd love to see you whilst I'm in my GTD. It's had a third of the money spent and would definitely be passing by with ease. Ahh, it also has adaptive cruise, keyless and dynamic suspension... Don't forget that DSG too, the real kicker...
Im just gonna highlight the fact that the diesel st comes with keyless as standard and can come with adaptive cruise and a powershift gearbox which is a dual clutch. Fair do's it doesn't have adaptive dampers, but that's an £ optional extra on the GTD anyway. Cant say anything about performance though, claimed 0-60s are as bad as claimed MPGs. Would be an interesting race.
type of exhaust?
Trying to save money in fuel so buy a slower car and spend large sums of money to make it sound and be as fast as a petrol version. Why not just buy the petrol ST as all potential fuel savings are now nill.
Rob Lilley I pay £25 year road tax, it’s cost roughly £1800 for the stage 2 that’s gave us around 248/250 bhp, 520nm (390lb). I do a lot of miles m8 and this still does 45mpg and on the move it will show a clean pair of heals to most. It’s not worth spending anymore though I’ll be honest but £1800 is nothing really for how it is now. I came from a mk2 ST and that was 300 plus and honest this on B roads is a far better car.
Still returns good mpg on stage 2 unlike the chocolate made petrol engine that goes bang
@@escos0410 Fair enough, I wrote that comment 2 years ago, time shave changed now. I drive a remapped 335d so am all about th soot chuckers and yes I agree. In the real world they're pretty much on par with petrol equivalents up to licence losing speeds and a bit beyond.

Had a test of one the other day.. Jes ~ Pulls like a Train with 400NM Torque' ST 182BHP (185PS) would eat up the miles up fully loaded with excellent returns on the MPG, defo not if Driving like an ASBO Teen' which is very easy on the TDCi ! Firm but soaks up the bumps with Go-kart Handling (think better that my old Mk3 GT Scirocco TDi) , finger slick' Gear (shifter) selection' but Clutch peddle felt rather heavy (like cable) for hydraulic ? Not a D-Series Ford lol !
Another gripe is when centre arm rest extended forward' Its a contortionists nightmare too get at handbrake (short) lever also Doh & few pain in ass ergonomics positioning of switches, and no bloody 12V in trunk ~ FFS what my Rear dash cam or 12V cool box stuffed ? bonus its has Heated Front window !
A few of the Top Line Models do have better package's for price ! Golf 181BHP (380 Torque) GTD tomorrow. hard too beat for Tech & Spec' especially the new LCD Speedo & Infotainment is super cool ! Test BMW (187bhp)120D M-Sport on Wed ~ De gustibus non est disputandum ! Then I'll be Order a Car by Thursday ~ WooHoo ‹(•¿•)›

Mountune have just bought out a tuning pack for. Sad fact is a standard VAG car still is better. Better built, better economy, better performance.
