We'd bought the Fortuner (Attitude black) last year with MT. Best decision ever. But to be honest, this video is completely biased and looks like a paid promotion. Don't buy the Fortuner if you want a feature rich suv or if it's going to be chauffeur driven. If you enjoy driving and want to get the raw feeling, buy it. The engine and the power delivery makes up for the missing features.
How is the handling and comfort when compared to a sedan? Is the body roll too much for the 2nd row passengers? Does it bounce too much on expansion joints/ road undulations? Currently using a Verna and it has been an absolute pleasure to drive it after I upgraded its shoes to 205s. Will the Fortuner be downgrade for me?
@@adityasundar324 Hey, I haven’t driven or sat in a sedan in a long time but yes, in terms of ride quality, I would say it’s sort of a downgrade from a sedan. It doesn’t really bounce while going through the expansion joints or potholes, infact you’ll hardly feel them due to large tyres and long suspension travel. We got adjusted to the continuous movement of the body but can definitely feel it when going through a concrete road since they aren’t smooth. I feel it should improve with more than 5 people onboard. Keepng the tyre pressure to the recommended value definitely improved it (29psi only). Regarding body roll, yes, all except the driver can feel it, more so on the rear seat. So pushing around the twisty corners is challenging. The Fortuner is a typical driver’s car. People say Crysta has a far better ride quality ( but terrible body roll apparently)
@@Ashish-_- Thanks a lot for the reply. Have you changed your stock tyres? The MT comes with HT Tyres and does it make sense to replace it with AT tyres? Say Continental CC LX2. Considering that the expressway infrastructure is only increasing, is it possible to drive the Fortuner non-stop at 120/140 kmph without any discomfort? (when the Govt. decides to increase the expressway speed limits to 140ks) I'm looking at the Fortuner more as a family car and I would be under the crosshair if we spend big 50s on a car and it ends up being uncomfortable for my folks. We a family of 4 have done multiple 600km+ non-stop drives (with food and bio breaks) in our 2019 Verna and it has been nothing short of fun. This with one being a Sr.Citizen and another being a 80+. Would you recommend it for older people? The reason why I really love the fortuner is its bullet proof reliability and sheer capacity to take abuse from our roads. Thanks
@@adityasundar324 Our’s is a 4x2 and for some reason Toyota is providing AT tyres (Bridgestone Dueler) for the Rwd variant and HT for the 4x4. We’ll be changing it to the HT tyres in future as they are a bit smoother. The Fortuner has no problems in doing high speeds. Straight roads is where it decimates others. It’s the ease at which it reach the high speeds. I’m a defensive driver and haven’t done serious speeds like 160 which sounds a bit risky as it’s a 2.1 ton suv. But it shouldn’t break a sweat. To put into a perspective, the engine spins lazily at 1450-1500rpm at 100. And there are good number of videos in the internet of people driving the Fortuner above 150, so that shouldn’t be a concern at all. But I do feel senior citizens might complain about the stiff ride quality. And getting in and out could be a bit challenging to elders. But once sat, it gives a lovely view of the surroundings. I would say you could also look into Crysta and Hycross if ride quality is an improvement aspect. Tldr: Fortuner will always put a smile on the driver’s face due to the sheer power but the other passengers will feel meh. It’s not just the power on paper. It’s the lower end punch and the drivability that outperforms say Gloster which infact has like 215ps.
Have been driving (still do) honda city. Driven fortuner AT 4x4 and will soon buy one. If you love raw power and suv dna you will love this. Good for high way and no-way. A little tough inside city and in 7:38 b to b traffic due to its size. Steering feed back is good (I loved it) Only problem I found was ingress and egress due to height. Will be difficult for heptagenarians to get in and out.
The quality of Motorbeam has gone to dogs. Paid promotion is fine but boot licking is bad. At 50L+ fortuner is neither in the luxury segment nor has comfortable ride quality! The host has not been on an Innova yet i guess. 😅
And you have not been on a fortuner on a beaten train Trust me I was on the same thought process as you but when I bought one and took mine to a remote himachal mountain, no other cars would have made it through . For fortuner, it wasn't stressful at all
You are spoiling the reputation of Faisal, the first 4 reason that you said one should not buy a fortuner is just dumb. Who wants headaches who wants their money to vanish bhai hum ambani ki aulad nhi hai. Sorry that faisal sold you the channel you are going to sink this channel. Sorry.

First create a business. That can earn you 1CR per annum.
Then you can buy a Fortuner
Otherwise don't waste your money in EMIs. Get a 2BHK instead
Absolutely!
True. Prices of new cars have gone through the roof
1cr per year is way too high😂 probably only businessman and politicians make this amount. We're buying this with 30L emi😅😢

So MB is no more a English channel 🔚
The competition is much better in terms of comfort and the quality.

I had both the fortuner and endeavour. But sorry bro the endeavour is superior in any sense .
Dream SUV…Toyota JDM ❤❤
😂😂
Well no. Partly because this is an Indian market car, so cannot be JDM. Obviously. Secondly, no fortuner is JDM because they aren't sold in Japan.
