Wise words Tim. Yes there's common sense, and there's passion - and the way you promote the idea that we're all different and there are many cases where there is no "right" or "wrong" has always appealed to me.
My little 500cc thrills me and puts me in peril just enough for ME - Personal choice - it's a beautiful thing :)

Like the unbiased, honest review. 200 hp....jeebus.
Love the KZ 1000 pic. That was the first bike I ever rode. Made me respect motorcycles real quick.
    Beauty riding weather lately

For sure. This entire week is looking great for riding. I thing I'm gonna go out and film another episode this week by myself.

Would agree on all points, in fact I'm a good example of your average rider that will never take full advantage of this bikes performance, however, for me Id rather have it and seldom use it than not have it and want it. This bike is an absolute monster and the rush of throttling it is amazing. Ive been riding for over 30yrs and live by riding within one's limits so I would caution any inexperienced riders regardless if you can afford it. Personally I'm not a fan of what Kawi did with the fairing design and instrument cluster on the 2020/2021 models but that just me. I still have my 2017 N1K which gives me a nice choice between the bikes. Great vid Sir.

I think they were giving a nod to the H2 with that front fairing and those headlight bezels. I like the design, but I still think the 2007 ZX-10R was the best looking of them all.

It would be awesome to have one to take on track days. You could get one and do track days again 👍🏁

I definitely thought about it after that ride. :-)

The Grumpy Old Biker strikes again! Great analysis, Tim. Haven't ridden one of those monsters, but I got a demo ride on a Panigale V4S a while back, and spent some great track time on an S1000RR in August 2019 at a two-day CA. Superbike School at VIR (fabulous track). Both are awesome machines (the Panigale a bit more other-worldly, the S1000RR surprisingly easy to ride, very transparent electronics, amazing dynamic suspension). But 10 miles is about all the Panigale was good for on the street until it got a bit uncomfortable. All in all I'm still quite happy with my old-school analog Daytona 955, I still can't use its full potential! And it's easy to spend all day on it, I've ridden from DC-Nashville in around 13 hours. I also happen to think it's one of the most gorgeous road bikes ever, so if I were in a position to go looking for another bike I'd go after a clean ZRX and pop some ZX cams in it instead of laying out that much for something like a 10R. Heck, you can probably pick up one of the Superbike School's S1000RR's for much less, they sell them off after every season and get new ones! BTW, my T100 and I appeared in a video on Ron C.'s channel recently, met up with him on my way down to NC last month (video titled "Meeting a Subscriber").

Never heard of Ron C., but I'll do a search.

He's the one with the camping and backpacking vids, I didn't realize what else showed up on a search for just Ron C!

Yep... a young mans toy in my eyes. Pretty amazing what they can build.

Exactly. An Amazing motorcycle, but definitely for someone who doesn't yet realize he is capable of dying.

Oh brother. Your ability to turn words in to pure pornography continues to awe me. While it was just a motorcycle "impression", it flowed to my ears the same as any song of yours.... And now I want to buy a ZX-10r...

Coming to A street rossi near you the zx10. I'm having a interest in getting back on 2 wheels looking for something along the lines of a zrx, fz1, z1000, fz09 my Harley looked good but was slow and didn't turn I wanna have fun again

There's a lot of good street-oriented packages out there with plenty of power and handling. The CB650F doesn't get a lot of attention, but it's great. I'm hoping to get a ride on one before much longer.

How would you compare your similar-era ZRX1200R vs Bandit 1200S for Touring Comfort, handling, thrill/fun?

    • @TimKreitzAdventures
      @TimKreitzAdventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว

I find the Bandit to be somewhat more plush and comfortable on long rides and I enjoy having its half fairing for the same reason, as it offers an impressive amount of wind protection for its size. The ZRX is Stage III, so it is a significantly better performer and more racy in general. The ZRX turns faster and handles a bit better over all than the Bandit. That said, I love 'em both. You can't go wrong with either one. Cheers.

I guess I AM JUST OLD SCHOOL BUT I DONT like the looks at all. Your bonneville is the prettiest bike in the video. nobody needs to go 200 mph on the street. nice vid tim.

One of the main reasons I've hung onto the Triumph all these years is because it looks and sounds so good. Cheers and thanks.

But this is America so you can buy what you want. Like supercars they aren't really designed for the road. They are designed for the track. But you do you boo boo, you do you.
