Yeah, you’re right. Silver completely traumatized him. Because silver betrayed him. Kreese was never on Daniels side. Obviously Terry Silver was just playing a part. But he pretended to be on Daniel’s side so when he released the act and pulled up the curtain and Mike Barnes walked in like the bogeyman, Daniel was scared on multiple levels. As an audience, it’s easy to look at things objectively but if you’re really looking at it from Daniel’s point of view, what he went through was freaking traumatizing for sure. Mike Barnes was bullying and terrorizing him for months and then he found out that it was all being orchestrated by the guy that he was confiding in.
Guessing Johnny knows the events of part 3 at least. He was the winner twice in a row of the tournament, no way he wasn't following the event the next year.
When Terry Silver comes back he should also say “how your knuckles doing there Danny boy” because remember when he made Daniel’s knuckle bleed after hitting the board many times

I love how the series uses the actors advanced age to its advantage. The character was in his late 30s when the first movie came out, he was young, good looking, physically fit and merciless. But now he’s older, slower, and reflecting on his past actions and he doses seem to legitimately want to make a difference

notice the difference of when Daniel met Kreese and Silver once again? Daniel was pissed once he saw that Kreese has returned, no fear at all. But when he saw that Silver returned, PTSD struck right at him. Truly shows the major impact Silver made on Daniel.
Considering the years of experience and that things will change in Season 3. Daniel Larusso can defeat Kreese and potentially Silver as well. He needs to be focused. We'll see if Larusso grows into a better person in the upcoming season. What a lot of people don't understand is that both Larusso and Johnny Lawrence still have past trauma that's preventing them from reaching their full potential.

I understand Daniel’s decision not to tell Johnny about Robby’s whereabouts in the presence of Kreese. I think the fandom is slowly but surely starting to accept the idea that Daniel still has PTSD and a ton of unaddressed trauma from the events of the original trilogy, ESPECIALLY in regards to what Kreese, Terry Silver, and Mike Barnes did to him in Part 3. How Daniel's only real male friend was a 50+ year old, and how all the other boys around his age just Didn't Like him. Then Silver act as a friend to Daniel only turn into some kind of revenge plot and hurtful lies and how even as an adult with a whole ass family, he still doesn't have a genuine friend away from his family and coworkers In addition to that entire situation which must have been extremely traumatizing for him. There’s also the fact that he thinks Johnny has let this man back into his life(which he absolutely did for a period of time!) after, from the last Daniel saw of those two together, Kreese nearly murdered Johnny as a child!!! you can just hear the ..disappointment in his voice and he’s angry because kreese was supposed to be dead. and maybe daniel never fully trust that he was, maybe there was always this feeling kreese was going to pop out at him when daniel’s least expecting it. and he remembers what barnes and silver and kreese did. and then he sees johnny standing next to him like it’s nothing. like this man didn’t torment daniel or didn’t almost killed johnny. and he hears kreese brag about the new cobra kai. and sees him placing a hand on johnny’s shoulder. and it feels like some kind of betrayal because johnny said it was going to be different, didn’t he? his cobra kai is supposed to be different. and there’s all that anger and disappointment and shame daniel felt towards himself returning back when he was being manipulated by silver. Do people honestly think that Daniel would want Kreese to catch even a hint of Robby’s whereabouts so he could add yet another child to his list of victims? ALSO I’ve heard people say that Johnny deserved to know where his child was and to that I say that Johnny had AT LEAST 16 years to actively involve himself in his son’s life and he has chosen not to. Thinking about the scene in the second season where Johnny and Robby are having a conversation in the hardware store and it starts out productive until Johnny completely derails it when he starts berating Robby for training with Daniel. And then Robby goes outside to Daniel and tells him “He cares more about his rivalry with you than he does about me” and Daniel looks so gutted and disappointed and frustrated and that led me to wonder...Do you think, from that point on, that Daniel carries that anger with him whenever he interacts with Johnny. I wonder if his blood boils whenever he looks at Johnny because all he sees is that look of disappointment and anger on Robby’s face that day. I wonder if, at some points, all he sees when he looks at Johnny isn’t his childhood bully(well, not just his childhood bully) but also the deadbeat father that abandoned the kid he looked to as a son. I know we all love Johnny and Miguel’s relationship but, honestly, that’s not an excuse to just abandon one son for another child and Johnny should have found a way to cultivate a relationship with both of them instead of prioritizing one over the other. And before I get these kind of replies to this, let me make it very clear that there is a HUGE difference between housing a child who has been abandoned by both of his parents(daniel keep Robby in his house) and letting a child stay at your house for the night because they got drunk without telling their parents who are actively looking for them(Johnny keeping Sam in his house). I feel like Daniel gets WAY too much unjustified hate and anger thrown his way. - You cannot acknowledge and sympathize with Johnny’s trauma while also negating and ignoring Daniel’s trauma. In short -Terry Silver is to Daniel what Kreese is to Johnny. And we've have seen Daniel understanding other feelings like when telling Robby in tournament "he's your dad not a monster". And telling Robby in S03E01 that "I'm sorry, I'm must be rough on you back then.I let you down. what I said you last time we saw each other it was terrible." and also that "we all are worried about you. your dad too." and have seen Daniel understanding Sam trauma. but we haven't seen Daniel express his feelings only time we see was in S03 "I still live with fear". Only person who understands Daniel is Mr. Miyagi who is not in his life anymore. Hope Daniel express his feelings to Johnny in S04 and both Danny and Johnny become best friend.

When I see this scene, I always think about what If Daniel told Johnny about Robby and this is what I think would've happened, Daniel would be shocked and irritated that Kreese was standing in front of him, especially since Johnny told Daniel that he was dead, but Daniel would try to put this aside and think about what's right for Robby. That sounds perfect except the Johnny staying at home I'm not entirely sure I think amybe just going to the Larussos house would work but otherwise that sounds perfectly like a great alternate event.

In retrospect I think the producers should have Johnny fight Mike Barnes in the semi-final round and lose 3-0 in part III in order to enhance the dominance of Mike Barnes. It would have been a small part, with maybe even Johnny giving some words of encouragement to Daniel then before his bout with Mike Barnes or he could have otherwise wished him luck in going against the best he’s ever faced.

Daniel is a happily married man with two children and along with his wife, they own and run a successful car dealership and Daniel is a devoted husband and father! I prefer Daniel over Johnny! I love how the series uses the actors advanced age to its advantage. The character was in his late 30s when the first movie came out, he was young, good looking, physically fit and merciless. But now he’s older, slower, and reflecting on his past actions and he doses seem to legitimately want to make a difference

Considering the years of experience and that things will change in Season 3. Daniel Larusso can defeat Kreese and potentially Silver as well. He needs to be focused. We'll see if Larusso grows into a better person in the upcoming season. What a lot of people don't understand is that both Larusso and Johnny Lawrence still have past trauma that's preventing them from reaching their full potential.

I understand Daniel’s decision not to tell Johnny about Robby’s whereabouts in the presence of Kreese. I think the fandom is slowly but surely starting to accept the idea that Daniel still has PTSD and a ton of unaddressed trauma from the events of the original trilogy, ESPECIALLY in regards to what Kreese, Terry Silver, and Mike Barnes did to him in Part 3. How Daniel's only real male friend was a 50+ year old, and how all the other boys around his age just Didn't Like him. Then Silver act as a friend to Daniel only turn into some kind of revenge plot and hurtful lies and how even as an adult with a whole ass family, he still doesn't have a genuine friend away from his family and coworkers In addition to that entire situation which must have been extremely traumatizing for him. There’s also the fact that he thinks Johnny has let this man back into his life(which he absolutely did for a period of time!) after, from the last Daniel saw of those two together, Kreese nearly murdered Johnny as a child!!! you can just hear the ..disappointment in his voice and he’s angry because kreese was supposed to be dead. and maybe daniel never fully trust that he was, maybe there was always this feeling kreese was going to pop out at him when daniel’s least expecting it. and he remembers what barnes and silver and kreese did. and then he sees johnny standing next to him like it’s nothing. like this man didn’t torment daniel or didn’t almost killed johnny. and he hears kreese brag about the new cobra kai. and sees him placing a hand on johnny’s shoulder. and it feels like some kind of betrayal because johnny said it was going to be different, didn’t he? his cobra kai is supposed to be different. and there’s all that anger and disappointment and shame daniel felt towards himself returning back when he was being manipulated by silver. Do people honestly think that Daniel would want Kreese to catch even a hint of Robby’s whereabouts so he could add yet another child to his list of victims? ALSO I’ve heard people say that Johnny deserved to know where his child was and to that I say that Johnny had AT LEAST 16 years to actively involve himself in his son’s life and he has chosen not to. Thinking about the scene in the second season where Johnny and Robby are having a conversation in the hardware store and it starts out productive until Johnny completely derails it when he starts berating Robby for training with Daniel. And then Robby goes outside to Daniel and tells him “He cares more about his rivalry with you than he does about me” and Daniel looks so gutted and disappointed and frustrated and that led me to wonder...Do you think, from that point on, that Daniel carries that anger with him whenever he interacts with Johnny. I wonder if his blood boils whenever he looks at Johnny because all he sees is that look of disappointment and anger on Robby’s face that day. I wonder if, at some points, all he sees when he looks at Johnny isn’t his childhood bully(well, not just his childhood bully) but also the deadbeat father that abandoned the kid he looked to as a son. I know we all love Johnny and Miguel’s relationship but, honestly, that’s not an excuse to just abandon one son for another child and Johnny should have found a way to cultivate a relationship with both of them instead of prioritizing one over the other. And before I get these kind of replies to this, let me make it very clear that there is a HUGE difference between housing a child who has been abandoned by both of his parents(daniel keep Robby in his house) and letting a child stay at your house for the night because they got drunk without telling their parents who are actively looking for them(Johnny keeping Sam in his house). I feel like Daniel gets WAY too much unjustified hate and anger thrown his way. - You cannot acknowledge and sympathize with Johnny’s trauma while also negating and ignoring Daniel’s trauma. In short -Terry Silver is to Daniel what Kreese is to Johnny.
And we've have seen Daniel understanding other feelings like when telling Robby in tournament "he's your dad not a monster". And telling Robby in S03E01 that "I'm sorry, I'm must be rough on you back then.I let you down. what I said you last time we saw each other it was terrible." and also that "we all are worried about you. your dad too." and have seen Daniel understanding Sam trauma. but we haven't seen Daniel express his feelings only time we see was in S03 "I still live with fear". Only person who understands Daniel is Mr. Miyagi who is not in his life anymore. Hope Daniel express his feelings to Johnny in S04 and both Danny and Johnny become best friend.

We would then get a scene at that Burger place and Daniel would be explaining the whole situation and Johnny would expect this from Sharren.
Johnny: First Vegas and now Mexico, what's next, Paris?
Daniel: I'm guessing that this has happened before.
Johnny: Yeah, she's an alcoholic and she will sleep with any rich guy that she finds even the ones on the street.
Daniel: We found an emergency number at Robby's place, but she's not picking up.
Johnny: And I'm guessing her bills haven't been paid.
Daniel: No, when I saw the place, there were no lights and I'm pretty sure that I saw a thing with a tail in there.
Johnny: Where's Robby?
Daniel: He's fine, he's at my house eating dinner.
Johnny would then be thinking about Robby's safety and he would also think about what to do. Robby can't stay at that apartment and he and Johnny weren't on good terms. But he would also think about how Daniel turned to him and Johnny would think that Daniel wasn't all bad, in fact, he was more involved in Robby's life than his own father.
Johnny: Thank you
Daniel: You don't have to thank me Johnny
Johnny: But I do. If you didn't tell me about this, then who knows what would've happened to Robby
Daniel would be surprised about how much he cared for Robby. Sure, he wasn't there for Robby at the time, but Johnny actually cares for his safety and his comfort.
Johnny: Maybe he should stay at your place for a little while
Daniel would be giving Johnny a look of disbelief
Daniel: Okay, you have had way to much to drink.
Johnny would give the most serious look he has ever given to in his life and Daniel would know that he's serious.

Daniel would get up from his seat and make his leave and the camera would focus on Johnny. He's always wanted to take care of Robby and be his father and this was his golden opportunity, but what was holding him back was his problems with the Larusso, but this is where I'm are going to fix the BIGGEST problem in this show. The greatest conflict was caused by Johnny and Daniel's past and they think they never have one thing in common, but when it comes to Robby, then that's when they get serious and put their differences aside.
Back at the Larusso House
Robby was rinsing off his plate and would be grateful that he was out of that apartment. He would thank Sam and that's when there relationship actually starts. Daniel and Amanda would enter the room and they would talk to Robby.
Amanda: Robby, we have talked about it and we think it would be better if you stay here for a little while.
Robby: Really, thank you Mrs. Larusso.
Amanda: Don't thank me, thank him.
Daniel: I saw your apartment and I thought it was unfair of you sleeping at that rat infected home. The guest room is up the stairs and theirs a bathroom in there and anything you need, come to us.
Robby: Thank you Mr.-
Daniel: You know what, that sounds to formal. You're apart of the family now, so call me Daniel.
Robby would give a proud smile and he and Sam would hug him.
Daniel: But he's not the only one who is staying here.
Amanda: Honey, what are you talking about?
Daniel: Aman, I know that I should've talked to you about this, but he needs to be here, for Robby's sake.
The door bell would then ring and Daniel would tell everyone, as Johnny comes in, that Johnny Lawrence, his high school bully and Karate rival will be staying at their house.
That sounds perfect except the Johnny staying at home I'm not entirely sure I think amybe just going to the Larussos house would work but otherwise that sounds perfectly like a great alternate event.

In retrospect I think the producers should have Johnny fight Mike Barnes in the semi-final round and lose 3-0 in part III in order to enhance the dominance of Mike Barnes. It would have been a small part, with maybe even Johnny giving some words of encouragement to Daniel then before his bout with Mike Barnes or he could have otherwise wished him luck in going against the best he’s ever faced.

I think Daniel did grow up, but the fact Johnny brought back Cobra Kai and assumed he was still the same prick got in the way … and I think Daniel had a good reason to assume it due to the billboard defacing, Johnny’s pettiness, threatening Daniel in his home, showing up at Daniel’s home uninvited and blaming his mistakes on Daniel.
Daniel’s wife Amanda may be the most mature and sane adult (And whom I don’t like hugging Johnny or being too nice to him), but between Daniel and Johnny, Daniel is the one who is more mature and sane than Johnny.
Johnny also had a girlfriend with whom he had a son, ditched them, neglected his son his whole life, rarely visiting them or supporting them and now they both hate him! And he also has remained a loser his whole life for 3 decades. And his Cobra Kai friends, except Dutch, made their lives better particularly Bobby and Jimmy.
Daniel is a happily married man with two children and along with his wife, they own and run a successful car dealership and Daniel is a devoted husband and father!
