I love how Amanda is basically the same throughout the entire show and she’s always cool with Johnny. I also love how she likes it , when Johnny gets a rise out of Daniel.
she's one of the best things in the show. the opposite of the cliched 'nagging' wife. She cuts straight to the chase and through the crap and even gets a few solid laughs. She is also brilliant at watering down the melodrama with a self-aware wisecrack or two ....brilliant.
Well, Johnny held Daniel responsible for his life going downhill and every time they meet Daniel is extraordinarily smug and condescending to him. Sam and her friends smashed his beloved car which resulted in him having to see Daniel again. Anthony brings out Johnny's immature side with their childish insults. Amanda meanwhile never treats Johnny with anything but respect except for when she's telling them both off. The fact when Daniel and Johnny are in one of their petty arguments/fights and she doesn't automatically side with her husband is probably the best example of how she's the only one with perspective. Also I think it has to do with the fact she often plays Mom to the pair of them when they get out of hand. Johnny loved and respected his mother more than anyone else in the world.
That entire dynamic was absolutely amazing. And Amanda's own story of why she was so sympathetic towards Tory was so good. I think she's gonna be an even more vital character going forward, especially in regards to the issues between Tory and Sam.

Karate gangs in the 2020's is as stupid as it sounds, and having an in-universe personality calling it out at every opportunity makes it realistic.
Love the dynamic between Johnny & Amanda, the fact that she defuses the tension so easily & kind of makes things worse by calling Johnny "Pretty boy" which obviously gets Daniel's back up, its in his character though out of the 2 Daniel always seemed to have the biggest ego & was quick to anger, I felt this way ever since seeing the first Karate Kid in the early 90's I was team Johnny

@@hunterconklin5073 Yeah then why did you say 'i feel like'?
The only larouso he accepts
I love Amanda, and I REALLY love the idea of her and Johnny going bar hopping! The scenes when they're together are GOLD!
At 0:18 Johnny realized how stupid the rivalry was😂
Amanda is one of my favourite characters and watching her interactions with Johnny are hilarious.
Never noticed Johnny laugh tho when Amanda called Kreese a little shit, that was great.
"Different boy every week" so that's why Sam acts like a cough cough in season 1 to 2 lol
I was just thinking that lol
She was tramping around with that girls boyfriend!
Best. Line. EVER
Question - would you be saying that if it was a boy having a different girl every week?
sam is toxic and for the streets
@@ThankYouPain09 we all know that lady was right
I love how Amanda is basically the same throughout the entire show and she’s always cool with Johnny. I also love how she likes it , when Johnny gets a rise out of Daniel.
“Actually, it’s more like a no cop situation” that was probably the funniest line of season 3
I love the scene where Amanda stands up and yells in the courthouse, then it just cuts to Johnny two frames later just cracking up. He's so amused. 😂
she's one of the best things in the show. the opposite of the cliched 'nagging' wife. She cuts straight to the chase and through the crap and even gets a few solid laughs. She is also brilliant at watering down the melodrama with a self-aware wisecrack or two ....brilliant.
I like how he's called pretty boy by everyone
It’s so fascinating that johnny hates daniel his son and his daughter but has zero issues with his wife 😂
The fact that the channel hearted a stolen comment 😶
Well it's because how hot amanda is, if i were Johnny i act the same too
Amanda is outstanding. Johnny and Daniel are hilarious together, when they aren't trying kill each other.
Her boy best friend and her boyfriend fighting fr💀
Johnny realises teaming up with Daniel in Season 3 can’t be that bad if Amanda agreed to be his wife. Amanda normalises Daniel for Johnny.
Can you elaborate? I am not sure I got you.
"if Amanda agreed to be..."
@@HasufelyArod If someone like amanda agreed to be daniel's wife, then guess Daniel won't be that bad to team up with
+Cine Soda Is Johnny perhaps attracted to Amanda and wants to sleep with her?
@@dennisardakis5857 huh???
@@timevalentime1806 He’d better not be attracted to her at all. She seems to find their rivalry a little amusing.
I am happy other people have noticed how well these two characters play off each other.
That deeply empathetic wife that few men are fortunate to find …and what she did with Tory had me speechless …
That entire dynamic was absolutely amazing. And Amanda's own story of why she was so sympathetic towards Tory was so good. I think she's gonna be an even more vital character going forward, especially in regards to the issues between Tory and Sam.
4:06
I love how Sam says "mom" after Amanda insults Kreese.
I really do hope we see more of Amanda and Johnny in season 4.
I want to see him turn to her for advice on how to navigate things with Carmen.
Like a gay notsogay bestie?
jjbb84x I don't very much like that he gets along real well with Amanda! Because she hasn't reprimanded Johnny for what he did to Daniel in the past and the present and for messing with the billboard! 😠😠😠😠
Their odd friendship is kinda cringeworthy for me at the moment! And I don't understand why Amanda is even nice to Johnny when she called him an asshole in "Counterbalance"! It doesn't make any sense!
@@dennisardakis5857 because not everything is black and white. Jonny and Daniel were kids and Daniel did do some things to Jonny as well back then. The bill board was messed up, but so was Daniel trying to shut down his dojo. It's pretty clear that she just views the whole thing as a dumb rivalry. Also her viewing him as an asshole doesn't mean that they can't get along.
@@timevalentime1806 But the billboard defacing was before Daniel doubled the rent.
She's like the coolest mom/wife ever written on TV right now
What makes her so cool is that she is a good sport, she has a quick wit about her, impeccable timing for comic relief, can be both the responsible one and the voice of reason when it's needed and she calls out her man without nagging him-she is by far the most perfect wifey in TV history...or at least in recent times, lol.
@@tooBlessed847 Exactly. We don't hate "strong women" we hate "bad writing"
‘Oh I’m sorry. My mistake’
I love Amanda. Which I’m mad about. Because I would love to have Daniel and Kumiko rekindle things. Or even a love triangle with the lovely Ali once again. But because Amanda’s so awesome she makes these options non starters.
Nah, I think they played it well. Aly was key in pushing a theme of season 3, which is the past vs the present. Johnny and Daniel trying to move forward from the high school drama and John Kreese stuck in the past. Aly was perfect in finally bringing the two guys onto good terms
@@tyler_bt3326 read my comment again. Only this time, do so slowly.
@@tyler_bt3326 yea exactly. When she walks back into the party it’s like she knows she just brought balance back by uniting the two.
I would love to see a love triangle on the show, but with Johhny, Ali and Carmen.
@@kerriethompson2073 that would be lkndlg appropriate as none of them are married, except for Aly who's divorced
In a weird way, Amanda is the comic relief of this show.
I absolutely LOVE it when Johnny laughs in response to Amanda cursing out Kreese.
"Last time I went four rounds with LaRusso, I caught a foot to my face." LOL I know what he means. AWESOME!
Amanda is pretty much the only character that can keep Daniel in check and make Johnny take a few steps back. Very underrated.
It is funny watching Daniel and Johnny regress back to teenagers around each other, and then Amanda reminds them they're both middle-aged adults and they both get awkward.
Goodness I love the chemistry and dialogue between Johnny and Daniel in season 3 episode 2. Daniel acting like the older brother is so wholesome
Dude, the greatest part about Amanda is that the whole time she was like oh you guys really gonna fight and she kept giving Daniel and Johnny shit about the rivalry and then she ends up getting into a bar fight with her old high school rival and she’s like oh shit no I can’t give these guys crap anymore because I just did it!!🤣🤣🤣
But yes, I love her character because she was so sarcastic about everything and was the voice of reason !
"Your Car is Ringing"...that part really gets me...😂😂😂😂
2:35
Amanda really is the rock of the Larusso family. She keeps them grounded. I also find it hilarious that he and Daniel still have problems with each other, but Amanda and Sam get along with him and respect him lol
Just wish you woould have had Daniel and Johnny singing REO Speedwagon's "Take it on the run", but other than that, it was perfect
"childhood karate rival" absolutely amazing summary of what's going on 😂
0:39 "So Johnny... I Hear You Run A Dojo... Thats Nice.." Amanda Is So Cute 😂
+Tonii Flores I don't understand why Amanda is even nice to Johnny when she called him an asshole in "Counterbalance"! It doesn't make any sense! 😠😠😠😠
I would've also been happy if she berated for what she did to Daniel in the past and the present and also messing with the billboard! Johnny could've possibly killed Daniel at the Halloween dance if Mr. Miyagi didn't arrive to stop Johnny and his friends!
Last time I went four rounds with LaRusso I caught a foot to my face!😂😂😂
Thanks for the bonus rocket ship scene. That was hilarious.
That little "hey Amanda!" Is actually the cutest thing.
04:03 I LOVE this scene lmao, Johnny’s support for her is iconic
IF I was in that car, w/ Daniel & Johnny, I’d be shaking my head & covering my face w/ 1 hand LMAO 😂 🤣 from listening to them. They’re the perfect duo.
Amanda is the only human living in a shonen anime
Amanda LaRusso is the thing that makes anything about this show remotely plausible. She is basically an expositional character, or an avatar for the audience itself. Karate gangs in the 2020's is as stupid as it sounds, and having an in-universe personality calling it out at every opportunity makes it realistic.
amanda is such an underrated character, shes so relatable and funny, love her
“You wanna go inside?”
“I could eat”
Idk why I laughed so hard at Johnny’s reply 😂
Love the dynamic between Johnny & Amanda, the fact that she defuses the tension so easily & kind of makes things worse by calling Johnny "Pretty boy" which obviously gets Daniel's back up, its in his character though out of the 2 Daniel always seemed to have the biggest ego & was quick to anger, I felt this way ever since seeing the first Karate Kid in the early 90's I was team Johnny
I raise you to the season 6 during the office scene when she just brushes Johnny stunt off hahahaha
as much as i love Daniel with Kumiko, they`re both Yin and Yin ( or Yang and Yang)
but with Amanda, i believe they both balancing each other (Yin and Yang)
Yang yang, yin the black one.
I think Amanda needs to divorce Daniel, take half his shit, then marry Johnny and provide him luxuries and fund his dojo.
Amanda’s part is so crucial in this show. So down to earth and normal but really necessary for the cast
I think Amanda is the only rational one in the whole show 😂
Billy and Courtney have the best comic timing. They really need to be in more scenes together.
Amanda is such a fun character that really helps the dynamics of the show.
Johnny and Amanda are literally my fav characters there so iconic
I like how Amanda is always the voice of reason. Her subtle snide remarks to whatever Daniel and Johnny are doing. She is always keeping it real.
“The blonde pretty boy” Amanda is so real
I feel like Amanda to Daniel and Johnny has a mother child relationship and Amanda is the one controlling the problem so Daniel and Johnny won’t fight I love it.
Amanda, iconic sassy queen
Have you seen her in the new season? She got even sassier lol 😍
Yo, Amanda is wife material. How come I've never come across a lady this charismatic, charming, beautiful and awesome.
If Amanda denounces what you’re doing, you have no choice but to instantly feel ashamed of yourself 😂
2:08 That look of wariness they gave each other continued the fighting visually even while the women were talking. Good story telling.
Johnny laughing at Amanda calling Kreese a piece of shit is the best thing ever😂😂😂
This really is a good show. I thought it would be nostalgia bait but it is genuinely good. And the way Johnny tells his side of the story about the original karate kid is awesome
Sensei Johnny "I could eat" Lawrence
