Oh my gosh! Your comment about folks sticking out their tongues and making the peace sign is total gold! I agree! They must not have anything to say, lmao! My teenagers make me crazy with this. Ha!
You are inspiring younger generations. My 10 year old is obsessed with hair and makeup. She wants to go to school for it when she is older. She LOVES watching your videos and learning. I have even let her apply some of what she has learned on my hair. Not too long ago, she did a hot pink to orange dye job on my hair, with some solid pink streaks throughout. She did so good! Her blends were on point. Next, she wants to try purple and blue maybe with some green on my hair. I'm all for it. She keeps telling me she can bleach my hair for me too. No. Not yet. I don't doubt that she could, but so much can happen with bleach. And I'm not ready for that. Keep practicing with the conditioning dye kid, we'll build up to bleach someday. Just wanted to to know you are creating an army of younger hair dressers out there as I'm sure she isn't the only one.

True. It’s easier for youtubers to not do research and then just play victim or blame the product if it goes wrong, then moan about how much it’s going to cost to fix it and hope someone professional offers to fix it, pay or fund towards it 😂
This is true. But if they all stopped, then we wouldn’t have this wonderful content. So let’s hope that they keep failing so we get to see @Hair Buddha react to it. 😂😂😂
I did one of those cap highlight kits in the early 80's. Unfortunately there was no internet, no Hair Buddha. I had natural, short strawberry blonde hair. As you mentioned, you have to have your hair arranged appropriately under the cap. My hair was not, so I ended up with one of those "special" hairstyles.
On the dark brown vs black, I generally prefer very dark brown to black. It gave almost the same effect, but without that flat look and without the blue pigments that clash with my skin undertone
@@mothturtle7897 it does look great on some people, but my skin is a bit odd, with quite a cool tone with lots of pink, but a really warm undertone with lots of yellow. Because most blacks seem to be blue-blacks, they immediately made me look unwell and blotchy. I think a neutral black might work reasonably well, but really dark brown, for me, just works better.
@@thegreenmanofnorwich I have cool and warm undertones in weird yellow and pinks and I agree that it can make it hard to find hair colours that work! I’m naturally an ashy auburn / strawberry blonde

Why do people that start with super dark hair try to bleach it then dye it black when it goes slightly wrong? That and people that pull on gummy hair always blows my mind. Don't do that!
I’ve been dying my hair since I was 13. I dyed it red ( rich mahogany) and I actually did a good job ( was the only reason my mum didn’t go mad over it) I’ve dyed it red ever since . I’ve been blonde ,which took over a year ! My hairdresser always compliments my colour and says that I’m the only client that doesn’t mess it up ! 30 years dying my own hair !

I wanted to get some highlights on my hair (never coloured it in my life) and I learned a lot from this video. Probably gonna get it done in a good salon instead of doing it myself tho because I don't trust myself
Your natural hair colour was SO beautiful! Why did you mess with it? Why? (This is pretty much what my mother said to me the first time I bleached my dark brown hair 🤣🤣🤣)
I've lived my entire life believing that my hair was light brown, and one day my hairdresser (that I nominated as The One, the one who takes care of my monthly bleaching) told me that I'm actually dark blonde.
My father had coal black hair on his head but a flaming red beard, he was absolutely GORGEOUS (rest in peace daddy💔) After watching your videos I've been wondering if his head hair would have matched his beard had he ever bleached it.
She honestly could have just gone to a salon and had maybe 5 foils placed through the front of her hair and that colour would have looked nice and balanced and it would not have cost her much money to do that at all.
I have dark brown hair and many people say it’s black and then I say no, it’s dark brown. The answer is always „but it looks black“. I don’t know what to say about that… 😂
Interesting with cap highlighting: i would have guessed parting your hair down the centre would have been better than combing it all back. Thanks HB! That being said, ai am never attempting this at home
Omg, I feel so bad.. i didn't do a video, when I bleached my box dye hair..(about a 20min ) then wash.. and what did I see.. my regrowth was ok, because I didn't touch it..the ends were gingerly..quite even, but a cm was dark line between regrowth and the lengths. I tried to rebleach only the dark parts.. well, it didn't work.. but I put a dark blond color instead of a dark brown, and it suits me a lot better. So thank you Hair Buddha, for you're channel.. because if I'd done my bleach like years before.. I wouldn't have any hairs right now.. (P.S. I have a healthy looking fine hair right now😉) so thank you for your tips and you're channel.
I would really love to see YOU with a client give a master class in correct highlighting techniques ..especially balyage( excuse my spelling ) ..there's some really dodgy attempts at it out there .lol
He may do that but I do know that some stylist keep their methods private if they have uniquely developed a method over time and then get paid to teach classes. My sister created her own way of installing extensions and toppers and gets paid to teach classes on it. However, I don’t know if it would be the same for colorings.
I am so sad that she dyed over her highlights. They looked good, and gave her hair deminsion. The money pieces were a mistake, but could have been fixed. She must have felt very uncomfortable with the changes she made. I can emphasize. A person needs to feel comfortable in their own skin. Good for her for realizing that the highlights didn't make her feel good about herself. She has beautiful skin and hair. I'm glad she is happy with her appearance, again. And, Hair Buddha, the tongue and peace signs was a look for you. Maybe not a good look, but supper funny! You make me laugh every day! Thank you.
It gives me uncomfortable flashbacks to childhood. I had hair down to my knees because my mother refused to let me cut it - I still had baby hair at the ends when I was 8 - and she'd brush my hair every morning with a card comb - a brush with bare metal wire for bristles that you use to separate sheep's wool before spinning. Not intended for use on humans!! The yanks through my tangles were so painful! I go to great lengths to be gentle with my hair now, and honestly, it's not actually that hard. Gently detangle the ends first and the brush will go through with little effort. I don't get why women yank the brush through like they're at war with their own head. Long hair or not, it didn't have to be torture back then, especially if mom had just let me buy the brush I really wanted: one of those plastic vented brushes with the plastic bristles. I bought one as soon as I was allowed to and never looked back. It worked WAY better than her metal torture devices and that old school dense plastic boar bristle brush. Now I use a wet brush detangler with firm bristles and it's very effective!
Peace salute originated (or at least was popularised) in the late 1960s. It isn't a new thing and you're never too old to do it. Sir Ringo Starr does it and he's in his 80s. Sir Paul McCartney, too: he's 80 this year.
When dying my hair, sometimes it gets a little messy at the end because I get impatient 😅 But since I watch your videos, I always hear your "seeeections, seeeeections... FINE!!! sections" in my head 🤣👍🏻 And I say to myself "do fine sections, be patient or you will f*** it up" 🤣🙈
So glad im driving to the city tomorrow to my hairdresser so she can make me gorgeous again Have treats for her doggy a glass of wine and we catch up on life and a tip for appreciation Haven’t really worn makeup since covid Makeup and dressed up I consider it an investment Luv you the faces you make🌺
I am so glad that my bleach job came out to my satisfaction. The only thing that happened is that my hair texture did not change as I expected it to. Which is actually a good thing.
Sorry I haven't been here to watch your videos but on the plus side I have a few up the sleeve now to enjoy I have covid so not feeling the best sending you and your family love and light 💛 always
I part my clients hair where it normally lays wen I do a cap. I love doin caps hi lites n giving carmel n blonde hilites.. use 30 vol on dark hair like that for 20-25 mins. Cones out beautiful 😍
The actual cap highlights really were pretty decent! Like you said, it's too bad she didn't know how to work with it and just put a lighter brown on, cuz it probably would've looked nice. I am curious, though, what the proper method is for combing the hair in preparation for cap highlights. Maybe you could just run through it next time?
So good. At least she managed to fix it. I have a huge problem at the minute. I cannot get rid of this deep red/burgundy. I want a chocolate brown and it just not coming out. It almost like it's not absorbing any colour. My roots are red and the rest of the hair is a darker red but def not chocolate brown.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Cap Highlights are the devil. I NEVER had nice results using them :l doing it alone or with a friend, the result was always splotchy Thanks again for the video HB!

But since I watch your videos, I always hear your "seeeections, seeeeections... FINE!!! sections" in my head 🤣👍🏻 And I say to myself "do fine sections, be patient or you will f*** it up" 🤣🙈
“I’m getting old”. Aren’t we all dear, aren’t we all x
So glad im driving to the city tomorrow to my hairdresser so she can make me gorgeous again Have treats for her doggy a glass of wine and we catch up on life and a tip for appreciation Haven’t really worn makeup since covid Makeup and dressed up I consider it an investment Luv you the faces you make🌺
You should do a LIVE reaction video?. That would be so much fun!
Good idea
I am so glad that my bleach job came out to my satisfaction. The only thing that happened is that my hair texture did not change as I expected it to. Which is actually a good thing.
“Both are equally stupid” I died! I laughed my ass off
I say the same about sticking out the tongue and duck lips! Lol
I hate it. I thought that trend would be long gone by now.
Nice seeing you with 348k subs now 👍🏻 I found you pretty early on
Thx for staying
Sorry I haven't been here to watch your videos but on the plus side I have a few up the sleeve now to enjoy I have covid so not feeling the best sending you and your family love and light 💛 always
I love hair buddha!
Love the way you say TikTok
I part my clients hair where it normally lays wen I do a cap. I love doin caps hi lites n giving carmel n blonde hilites.. use 30 vol on dark hair like that for 20-25 mins. Cones out beautiful 😍
I'm with you- the tongue + peace sign is soooo annoying! 😂
I would also recommend toning BEFORE you remove the cap so you don't have to pick all the highlights out to tone
I LOOOOOOOVE YOUR VIDEOS just because of your reaction
😂😘👌🏻 love it
Jeremy Russell very good British product and their Plex hair colours, nice result 😅
As always .... ty , ya Videos always make my day😊🙏
So good. At least she managed to fix it. I have a huge problem at the minute. I cannot get rid of this deep red/burgundy. I want a chocolate brown and it just not coming out. It almost like it's not absorbing any colour. My roots are red and the rest of the hair is a darker red but def not chocolate brown.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
time... money.... selfesteem... OUT . i love him
Love you hair Buddha
So if your hair is natural (not colored) you can bleach from root to tip at once?
I am too old for the tongue and ✌🏻 photos too. Lol
Cap Highlights are the devil. I NEVER had nice results using them :l doing it alone or with a friend, the result was always splotchy
Thanks again for the video HB!
thx for watching
I've seen mostly splotchy results to. Many years ago my grandma did my aunts dark hair and it had splotchy orange pieces.
