If they can pull off a legit survival game that is also an MMO, with great systems to bring it along, wow. I have played mobile MMO survival games and usually a money trap and not great at all. Look forward to this. Big Dune fan.

What kind of consequences are you looking for? In this case it would be the other team getting the resources. Most pure PvP games you are just competing for score and to see who’s better. Always on PvP also has its problems. Not the least of which is most people don’t like it, so you end up with a small player base. Then you have the skill and gear cap which just further widens, and further makes the game more niche.
Haha I havnt had this exact experience but I was also skeptical. Overly simple UI, removal of features, all kinds of stuff. Will definitely be something to keep an eye on.
Just like Conan, Dune has no reason to be a survival game. When You think of conan you think of war and fighting not hammering rocks and trees to build bases. WHen you think of dune you think of war over spice not shooting rocks and gathering materials to build bases. This is funcom we are talking about, the company that abandons its games not long after they make them. From anarchy online, to age of conan unchained, to the secret world, and as soon as dune releases conan exiles will be abandoned. In fact Dune is going to just be a reskin of Conan exiles. Anyone that has been playing funcom games since Anarchy Online should know how terrible funcom is
