Nice to see a YT watch review that keeps the piece up close in the frame. Have to offer a word in defense of the strap, which earlier commenters have already noted is a very good representation of a GI issue single pass. I’ve been wearing mine for the last 2 weeks and find it very comfortable and matches the plain style of the watch (I ordered the sterile dial). Don’t notice any scratchiness and it got less stiff with use. Had plans to source another 19mm strap before I received it, but now I intend to leave it.

I'm fully agree with you on the strap. FYI, I bought the sapphire version(not that really matter, but just nice knowing it's a little more scratch resistance) with sterile dial. The manufacture claims the strap is precision LASER cut. Although, I don't have definitive proof, but I can tell the edges around pin wholes are clean and neat. I have over 30 these kind of straps from various sources/styles/size/price point. I can tell from my experience it is not "luxury" one but definitely high quality and fits overall theme well. In terms of comfort, it's subjective. I consider myself having sensitive skin, but I found it very comfort and plan to get a few more. Thanks reading.

I couldn’t live with that circle thing at 6. Yep 19 mm was the old 3/4 of an inch and no longer used in most industries except the US,India and some watchmakers
    GREAT REVIEW AS ALWAYS 👍

I have this watch and absolutely love it! I looks very nice on my 6.3 inch wrist, so the dimensions are not at all a problem. The strap is like the one you can find on the vintage Fifty Fathoms. I have replaced it with a black vintage leather strap, which looks fab!

Good review however the original 1964-5 Tornek-Rayville TR-900 was a 41mm case, 19mm lug width and had a thickness of 13mm. Very close, if not exact to the R6TR. If you compare the sterile dial R6TR to the Hodinkee 1965 Tornek-Rayville TR-900 sterile dial, you will find it is a very close homage (or esthetically a clone). Of course, there is always room for improvement. It would be great if if the R6TR had a plexi crystal, a push-to-turn bezel and a 2 piece caseback as the original had, however this is a $200 watch. The strap is pretty much what the original was issued with. This was a military watch, purchased by Uncle Sam to a price-point. The watch I was issued in the 80's while serving (Marathon, which I still own) came with pretty much the exact strap in 18mm. Your suggested changes/improvements would create a different watch, departing from the direct homage that Rdunae is clearly aiming for. I think Rdunae is to be commended for keeping this homage to as close as possible (within the constraints of its cost) to the original.

Apologies for stating 36mm, rather than 41mm in my review.
I am aware the original TR-900 was issued on a strap meeting the military specification MIL-S-46383; which this strap looks visually similar to. Regards, #WR4K

@@watchreviews4k the original fifty fathoms of the 50s and 60s were not 36mm case size. They came out with bathyscaphe model that was a little smaller for recreational divers but I believe even that was bigger than 36

With respect, most of what you’re complaining about is what makes it a true homage to the original.. the original had a strap just like this watch, the bezel on the original is also just like this watch, as does the crown and for the record it was about 40MM watch not 36 and of course 19mm was also the correct size.. if you want a “updated” homage., by a Steeldive.. just saying.. all your complaints are what makes the watch a true homage or re manufacture. I do agree they should have use a plastic crystal.. but then again what I like 😅 Rdunue watches is that they actually keep to the correct dimensions, and look.. if it’s not for you.. that’s understandable. But your issues are what makes this watch a great piece. (for those that want a true homage)

" for the record it was about 40MM watch not 36 and of course 19mm was also the correct size"
" but then again what I like 😅 Rdunue watches is that they actually keep to the correct dimensions,"
      The original TR-900 was 41mm diameter x 49mm lug to lug. This piece is 40mm x 50mm.
Apologies for stating 36mm, rather than 41mm in my review. I was thinking of the 1960's Fifty-Fathoms which was 36mm diameter.
I am aware the original TR-900 was issued on a strap meeting the military specification MIL-S-46383; which this strap looks visually similar to.
As stated in my review, I am also aware 19mm was a popular size in the 1960's, and 1970's. However today 20mm and 22mm are the industry standard for 40mm pieces.
"the bezel on the original is also just like this watch, as does the crown and for the record"
Yes, I know what the bezel looked like on a TR-900. The point is this bezel has sharp points to the teeth, and would be better with a chamfer to blunt them.
The crown on the TR-900 was also undersized for a 41mm piece.
      Regards, #WR4K

For circa 100 quid, It's a great value homage, really not sure what you're talking about? The Tornek-Rayville TR-900 case is 41 mm in diameter with a 19 mm lug width, I've never actually seen a TR-900 that has a 36 mm diameter? In fact, is safe to say that this seems more faithful in terms of scale, crown, etc. than the Tornek-Rayville TR-660

@@watchreviews4k No need to apologise for the error/errors, I just think you're being way too critical of something that costs about 100 quid, and for the most part, they've got the dimensions fairly spot-on, even the lug-to-lug is right, crown scale and shape is about right, lug width is right, diameter is right, the strap is even really close to the original. If you've got a genuine beef with something then that's ok, but I really can't see any problems with this surprisingly faithful hommage for an unbelievable 100 quid, especially when compared with the not-so-accurate Tornek-Rayville TR-660 at about 10 times the price.🤔

Excellent review. I’ve bought Rdunae watches before and they are very good. I think on this watch if they weren’t willing to use Safire for the crystal then I would of preferred they used acrylic. You can’t beat the distortion and vintage look of acrylic and you can at least use polywatch to buff it up. As for the strap, yeah that is pretty naff.

All am saying is let's be more acceptable to strap sizes as well and not only be acceptable to how the watch looks, feels and weighs when someone comes with something different. 👍😊

It it's clearly recognizable as pure gibberish.... And there nothing elegant about that. Would be better to have just used Chinese characters that aren't nonsense than Western language gibberish on their watches. Better yet, just give us a decent logo.
