Hi, ive been buying watches for over 40 years and i have to say when i received my tactical frog v4 blue on blue it just hit the spot, its a superb watch at the price and as far as i can tell has no quality issues whatsoever, the bezel is really good on this version. Its really light weight, looks fantastic and wears really well on my 7" wrist. The supplied strap is realy comfortable. I really don't think you could find any better at this price point and would give it 5* all round.
Have the V4, bezel action is much improved and is 60 clicks. After some bedding and a drop of oil its smoothed out and now has audiable clicks with pretty much zero back play. Very nice watch indeed, very happy. Replaced strap with Octopod system (stainless brushed clasp version) that compliments very well interms of form and function.
This is looking like a possible daily wearer for me. Has everything I'd look for: ceramic bezel insert, titanium construction, wicked lume and even the fixed lugs has grown on me for the durability and even the strap looks to be decent as well. Whole lot of watch for the money. Thanks for all the great reviews man!
Been wearing my TTFFX for a few days now. Fits my 7.5 inch wrist perfectly but if your wrist is under 7" the lug to lug might be too long. Bezel does have two good features - the lume and the coin edge. The bezel is functional but it's the worst feeling one I've ever had. Should make it unidirectional 120 click. I don't care about bi-directional - I'm not actually a French military diver. The crown operation feels like my other NH35'S, screws down smoothly. The dial and the lume are absolutely fantastic. I don't care what's in your collection - this 100% titanium would be your most comfortable watch.
Got mine in black/black, the blue was just TOO close to the Tudor…it’s awesome, I love it! Seiko NH35 mvmt - the lume is NUCLEAR!!!! Love the single pass nato, fits my 7.5inch wrist perfectly, lays down perfectly as well.
The current V4 version seems to have a bad colour-mismatch between the bezel insert and the dial, in the BLUE no-date model, but seems great with the 6 o'clock date Blue model, when viewing the Watch Dives website on my laptop.
This looks very good. Thanks for the excellent, detailed review, with many close-up pictures of the dial. It's out of stock now, but will hopefully be back in stock reasonably soon. It seems like a very good deal.
Even it may have slit bezel problem according to some comment, its still a real performance to have a $ 200.00 watch as well done than the original that cost 20 x more ! How they make a profit on this watch its the real question ?
Owning a Tudor FXD I have to say this seems to be well made. Might add a black one of these to the collection just for comparison and color option. The FXD is very comfortable to wear while being super rugged. Perfect daily watch.
Couldn't help but order one after seeing this (Damn you!). Hope it is as good QC wise as the one you reviewed and may wack an NH38 into it in the future just to make it as simple a tool-watch as it should be. Thanks for the review

The indices are slightly chunkier than the original FXD and I wish they could just use the logo minus the name. Would be great if they consider a 39mm diameter. Great review as always.

I prefer the unidirectional dive bezel used on the Pelagos to the bidirectional countdown bezel used on the FXD. However I appreciate this is a homage to the FXD hence them copying it. I would like to see Tactical Frog make a Pelagos 39 homage. I would like to review the Pelagos 39, but can't get hold of one unless I buy one from a Tudor AD. I guess I'm a weirdo because I really wish they had used standard lugs, that's my main gripe with the FXD, not the price. Don't even remove the fixed lugs, just drill holes behind it and thin the bar out so strap could be fit in there. Looks the same, functions the same but for weirdos like me fixes that issue. IDK its probably just me.
This looks pretty great I must say, I was somewhat skeptical about the look of the hour markers, but they look nice. Do you know by chance which grade of titanium is used? Overall, I like the look of titanium, gives the watch a more robust appearance. A brand called tactical frog didn’t release a version with a green bezel and black dial? I have one and it appears to be a ceramic insert. The issue is the bezel itself being titanium. Which, while being more expensive to work with than stainless, makes it feel cheap.

I think they must have sent you a specifically picked and prepped watch if you can consider the bezel acceptable. I got the V2 (apparently) and the bezel is loose enough for me to spin it with a single finger. Deceptive tactic on their part. I'll never buy a watch from any of their brands.

I had been hesitant on version 1 of the watch because some of the sellers on Ali express had detailed in the description what to do if you noticed fogging or water under the crystal. Not a good omen if they are saying that. I’m hoping for the best with this version

A bit concerned now because I purchased the watch yesterday from watchdives and the listing clearly stated Version 2, as does my receipt. Now today I noticed that they have removed the V2 designation from the listing from what I can tell. Any idea how I tell if I got the V2 when it arrives? I also have an email out to them for clarification.
I just checked the listing Bret, yes "V2" has been removed. I haven't handled a V1, but apparently the V2 has improved bezel action with less play. Don't worry, if you purchased the watch yesterday it will be a V2. Mine is a V2 and was shipped last week via Fedex. Regards, #WR4K
19:49 No, the 35A is NOT the correct choice, literally just said and quite rightly justified what the correct movement should be, the 38. But they've used the 35A as a cost cutting measure because it'll be cheaper given how mass produced it is.

Not sure how you can say they did a better job on the dial and bezel colour when the Tudor was designed in conjunction with the Marine National who actually specified and agreed the colour with Tudor. The Tudor is the colour it should be, this is almost there but, not
Quirks that just kill this watch for me: you can't put a conventional Barton dive strap on this lug design, the bezel numbers are completely backwards from normal dive watches. I would also prefer the option of a 4:30 date window since the NH35a movement has a date wheel.
No sir. This has a poor bezel - not sure why they can't get that right. Spoils an otherwise great buy I feel. Can't recommend this, until they sort out the bezel. Update: I'm willing to forgive the bezel, as it seems titanium makes a smooth implementation more challenging. This is otherwise a lovely watch, and a keeper.

Hence why so many Chinese low-tier brands produce the aforementioned to supply the demand in the market. We agree on the complete lack of originality. We don't agree on the pointlessness. I would love to own a genuine Pelagos but my watch budget doesn't stretch that far. Try looking at this watch as if you didn't know the Pelagos exists. Titanium light weight, great looks, sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel for 200 bucks, what's not to like?? ..except that it's looks are a blatant copy of a 4K watch. So to me the point is a cheap, light weight, great looks and I even find the frog logo kinda cool, a watch that I won't be shy getting dinged and scratched, the only thing wrong with the watch is that I know the Pelagos exists.

Nice review! Would love it if they did a GMT (NH34) version with date at 6. Sam Martin has one but it's only 39mm which is too small for me.

£160 is a good price for a watch with a NH35 movement, but not the £400+ that some micro brands are demanding.

commercially pure titanium I believe. And no coating to prevent scratching whatsoever. So in a way the most honest titanium haha.
