After all that, you add the PS5's ultra-fast SSD - which is supported by dedicated chip for hardware-accelerated decompression (I.e., even if you put a SSD inside a PS4 Pro, it needs thr main CPU for all functions - so you restrict and compromise performance).
TL;DR: Even if you only exploit the minimum of PS5 spec, it destroys the PS4 Pro in all areas.
The base PS4 still holds up pretty well for a console that's nearly 10 years old, It's even aging better than the Xbox One and most cross-platform games looks better on the PS4 than on the Xbox One recently.
Stray still looks pretty good on it, for me who only has a PS4 Slim as an option to play and isn't planning on buying a PS5 anytime soon I'm quite satisfied with how games are running on the old console.
@@MoonSarito 1080p 30 would be fine if it could be maintained but unfortunately like miles morales it regularly drops to the mid 20s on the platform (I assume the ps4 pro cleans this up) and it’s likely only performing like this because they don’t want the ps4 versions to look like crap so they push the res and visuals at the cost of performance this game should be 720p on base ps4
Absolutely enjoying this game! I still can’t imagine how they managed to fit such a visually pleasing game in a few gigabytes.

Compression, some games on PS5 are 50GB+ but the PKG file has a size of 27 GB for example.
Most realistic looking cats ever! Breathing, subtle movements and almost all cat animations you would see in real life! I hope for a sequel called 'Strays' where you can be multiple cats each on their own adventure and at the end, they meet up at a cat haven. Awe that sounds so perfect to me.
Or at the very least a co op cat adventure kinda like It Takes Two but with cats ! :)
Movements, behaviour pretty realistic but the graphics could be better. Closeup of the cat, the immersion is broken lol. This game is good and will anticipate a sequel and I want it to be current gen only to upgrade the graphics. PS4 is holding back

I’m running it on my Steam Deck with all graphical settings maxed with 100% resolution scaling. I’m getting a locked 30fps. Looks and plays amazing! The game doesn’t seem to need 60fps gameplay wise so I haven’t tried to lower settings. Plus it looks too good haha
On Steam Deck you get to pre-compile shaders for the specific Deck hardware, so you can avoid the shader compilation 'stutters' that afflict the general PC version.
It would be really cool to see a video comparing Stray on PS4, Steam Deck and PS5.
Every game needs 60fps lmao. But obviously will be harder on a streamdeck or ps4🤣 30 to 60fps jump is just so drastic.

Who knows. The PS4 base us running at a lower internal native resolution and using an upscaling technique to get it 1080p. Pro is just running native 1080p....locked. so if the PS4 is running at 800p the extra pro power is making it run native at 1080p for an example

Yeah dude. But this ain’t your big open world Far Cry 6 with multiple explosions and NPCs shooting at you. It’s a corridor game with small maps. This game specifically is pure GPU load, so if FC6 can run at 1600p on Pro, there is no excuse here but they didn’t care.
I wouldn't say it is supercharged in any way shape or form. It was destroyed by the GPU in the One X . The only benefit it had was hardware checkerboard rendering but that usually came with too many visual issues.

And still PS5 doesn't deliver graphics much more impressive than PS4Pro does. It's only one tech demo which impossible to get on the past-gen nowadays.

Soy luciano, tengo 20 años, y a mis 17 deje la escuela secundaria para dedicarme a estudiar programacion de manera autodidacta con cursos, y videos en youtube(especificamente desarrollo de video juegos). Para mis 19 años despues de pelearla muchisimo, y mucho esfuerzo, me becaron en la universidad lider del desarrollo software de argentina(Image Campus), trabaje en varios estudios de desarrollo indie, y actualmente voy a recibirme de desarrollador full stack con ArgentinaPrograma, y otras capacitaciones en conjunto. Todo esto lo hago para sacar a mi mama del barrio para serte sincero, somos muy humildes, y mi unica herramienta es mi cerebro, y mi pc. El juego en las tres plataformas se ve fenomenal. Aparte es increíble que el apartado gráfico se vea muy similar tanto en ps4 como en ps5.

No ps5 zerei ontem, esse jogo é muito lindo e emocionante, ele é excelente para jogar a noite no silencio e no escuro, para você entrar no clima, a cidade cyberpunk é muito legal, passa uma calma. Nota 10 para esse jogo, espero que o 2 seja no mesmo clima.

Espero pronto poder disfrutar de esta joya, lo haré en PS4, aunque en PS5 se vea aparentemente mejor; sinceramente entre PS4 y PS5 no hay una diferencia abismal ni muy notoria, la verdad a mi poco me interesan los gráficos lo que de verdad importa es la historia y jugabilidad del juego (soy de la vieja escuela y he jugado desde PS1)
La diferencia es brutal , sobre todo de 30 a 60/120fps , el salto en la jugabilidas es gigante . Ahora que tu te quieras autoconvencer que la diferencia es poca porque no puedes comprar playstation 5 , eso es otra historia

La realidad es que las consolas actuales tienen una vida útil más grande que las anteriores, los desarrolladores tardan años en poder llevar al límite las consolas y casi sucede en los últimos años y siempre cuando ya está la nueva generación...
30fps on a ps4 pro is a joke
I hacked my Pro and installed 60fps patch for Stray, it works like a charm most of the time with some drops here and there, but the game truly shines at 60fps even with hiccups.
Devs just didn't want or didn't have the time/resources to truly take advantage of the PS4 Pro I guess. Thankfully with a hacked console, there are lots of patches for plenty of games. GTA V also works very well with the 60fps patch installed.

I have it for a ps4 pro and I like the graphics a lot (I like that the pro has better graphics than the normal one and not as strong as ps5 because the ps5 pictures give me headaches)
And the other thing I'm not allowed to have a cat so it's great to have at least a virtual one now. And yes, I actually have a cat, but when I moved they are with my family stayed there

No se porqué pero se me hace que Sony no quiso que subieran tanto las cualidades gráficas de la PS4 pro para que se notase más la diferencia con PS5. La PS4 pro daba mínimo para 1440p o 1800p.

Wait there is no ray traced reflections ? If im not mistaken , the reveal trailer showcased real time ray traced reflections of the cat in a mirror
Well Demon's Souls was advertised as having ray traced shadows as well in the reveal trailer but never delivered
It's because the "new gen" cannot deliver the raytracing with native resolution higher than 1080 and framerate higher than 30. The "new gen" still doesn't live up to expectations, almost two years after its release.
@@more7642 to be honest , if u consider the 400 dollar price tag of the digital ps5 , literally no pc can beat it , its not even close. However, i would have been very happy to pay 100 bucks more to get real next gen graphics without sacrifices here and there.
