My state legally requires 3rd brake light and a license plate light, do you guys make kits that go with this carrier to relocate these things?
Damn, that thing looks great, but the Genright accommodates a 42" tire. Considering the fact that I'm torn between 42" and 44", this puts PSC completely out of the running. Good luck guys, it's a nice looking tire carrier.

DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT
I regret buying this POS and here’s why.
First off… The tubing bends are way out of spec. After installation of the hinged side the locking side was about two inches too far inward. I had to get my hi-lift jack and cutting torch out and heat up the bends then use the jack to spread the carrier ends apart so that the locking plate can be mounted.
Next, the directions SUCK!!! You may as well just burn them.
It says that mounting plate should be even with the edge of the top bend of the body. Well… I did that and I had to elongate all four holes in the tub so that mounting plate fits perfectly with the hardware and brackets that goes on the inside.
Next, once i got everything installed as high as it would go, I put the tire on the carrier and it wouldn’t line up correctly. I still need to lift up on it to be able to close it…
I can’t express enough how much I hate this thing…
Oh, and it also rattles like crazy
Man I love the Fab Four slant back but that puppy is 3k out the door and then u need a slant top. This maybe the best looking option I see for a 40 inch tire

dang, wish I could rebuild my Jeep with Poison Spyder carrier, bumpers, etc.

i wonder how spare-tire-carrier stick to cargo-door/tailgate in wrangler.does spare-tire-carrier stick to cargo-door-panel,or stick to a bar inside cargo-door-panel.our car is honda crv year 2003,i can not find info about how crv-spare-tire-carrier stick to crv-cargo-door :)

LOVE IT, and it has most of the features I want. Can I mode it to accept regular Jerry Cans?
Would the weight of 2 jerry cans in place of roto pak be too much weight on the carrier?

Hi, this is the video I watched before I purchase it and it's been 2 months I've had this tire carrier.
I'm 100% satisfied with this product so far.
Now I'm trying to get rotopax just like you have in your video, and I'm wondering what size of rotopax would fit.
I'm assuming you have 2 Gal. size in your video, and just wanted to make sure before I buy.
Do you think 3 Gal. size rotopax would cover the number plate?
Brian Lee 3 gallon would its wider and your putting even more stress on it 8 guys in out club have this tire carrier and 5 out of 8 of them have the 2 gallons gas can on them

Jay, we've heard of a few people using this carrier with the XRC rear armor but we haven't seen it in person ourselves. I can't give you details as to what extra work/fabrication is required to use the two products together. My best advice is to take a good look at the installation instructions, which can be downloaded from our website, and try to determine from those what might be needed to make it work with your existing equipment. I have an Evo hilift jack mount that mounts to the factory hinge will this tire carrier clear it ? I like the idea of ur tire carrier locking and having the jack behind it for a more anti theft deterrent
Perfectly done, guys. One questions, Dusty, reference to the license plate. I went to your site and looked at the video again...rear license plates are required to be lite at night. Did you leave that up to the buyer to worry about or am I need seeing where that is part of the kit?

Sweet Bumper! definitely going on the jeep soon.... just curious about the overhang of the tire. When youre coming off of a ledge and the tire hits i feel like it might get hung up and mess up the tire. skidplate maybe?
Harley the scenario you describe is definitely an issue to be concerned about. We've tried to alleviate that concern a little bit with the strengthening we've designed into the mounting of it. But even with that, we still don't recommend coming down hard on it off of a ledge. This really isn't the right tire carrier for someone who's into hard core rock crawling and/or doesn't drive with a measure of finesse. For those folks we recommend either leaving the spare in camp or going with one of our bumper/frame mounted tire carriers from our RockBrawler bumper line. Thanks!
