One thing not mentioned in this video and is very unclear in the instructions there are 4 spacers that go in between the big bracket and the jeep body. If not installed you will crush the body when you tighten the middle and lower bolts.
This video is old so I don't expect a reply but... Would these work WITH smittybilt XRC armor fenders? I'm pretty sure modification is necessary but tryna get a 2nd opinion. TIA
Thank you so much for this video I just ordered mine tonight from quadratec and tbh I was kind of nervous about the install but this has made me a lot more confident about drilling into my jeep cant wait yo get it on! One question what is the best way to line up the template for the latch plate because it looks like you just kind of threw it on there and estimated where to line it up and draw out the holes. Im terrified that I am going to install everything only to find out that I Messed up the alignment with the template for the latch plate
David Gayle pretty tough install looks dope but probably would go with another tire carrier If I had to install it again tbh. Also the way it tells you to line up the template was really confusing and hard to get right. But other than that it looks awesome on the jeep.
Poison Spyder ships their products in their raw form to allow the customer to finish it in their own color preference. Sometimes you may find surface rust on your part upon delivery. This is normal. Surface rust does not affect the integrity of the metal, or damage the product. Sanding of the part will remove the surface rust, or if you're having them powdercoated, they will be sandblasted before hand by the powdercoating shop.
This tire carrier weighs approximately 70 pounds. The supports that are used with this tire carrier to fasten it to the Jeep are extremely heavy duty and you will have no issues supporting up to a 40" tire with this.
Wish they’d come out with this for the JL. Really don’t want to go with DV8, GenRight, or EVO Mfg. @poisonspydercustoms , please reconsider.
Do they make something, like this, for my Cherokee XJ? I really want this kind of tire carrier.

Thank you!
And what they don't tell you the most important part that latches where the locks is so flimsy that it's Benz
Can this be fitted on Mitsubishi Pajero Sports 2014

Hi Luis
You'll need to modify the armor for this to fit, but it shouldn't be that big of a deal to install.
amazing offroader

Did this rust because of the bare metal?

Find a local Line-X dealer and have them spray it. Shouldn't cost too much and the product will literally last forever.
its not to heavy??

I’m not a fan of drilling holes in my Jeep.
