I'm 86 and hear this song all the time and have borrowed my great great grandson's copy of the album. It has really been a great comfort to me and my twin sister. I'm older by 12 minutes, Sam let's see who comes along to challenge you for genius song writing and not to mention banging riffs ( as my grandson keeps saying ) but I have no clue what that means. I went on holiday on my own to Salou, I was feeling kinda lonely and missing someone to chat too, I put Sam's album on while walking on the beach and it really elevated my mood, it put a spring in my step, I put it on on the bus and was tapping away publicly while passenger's were looking at me, they must have thought what a crazy guy, but I didn't care, I had a smile on my face and I didn't feel lonely anymore

My daughter got me into him and I was looking forward to seeing him at Glastonbury in June but sadly , he blew out at the last moment. His debut album really is exceptional. For talent, he has it all and I will finally get to see him live in December where I will no doubt be the oldest one there by a mile! ( I'm 64)
I only understand Japanese. When I listened to this song, I was moved by it, even though I only understood the literal meaning. I listened to this song many times to understand the meaning of the lyrics. When I saw the video, I felt like something was added to it. It may not be the meaning you really wanted to convey.
