I really like the wooly mammoth from Chemical Guys. Also I have a Dreadnought that I used, but i didn't like it at first. Now that it's been washed a few times though, it's actually working really nicely now.
I have been using Rag Company towels, The Pluffle and several others I can't remember the name one is a flat waffle weave that I like for windows and it will almost do a whole car. May give the Big Sicker a try when I need new towels
I Love how you DON'T do sponsored videos. Unlike a certain person up North! You always have the most realistic and reliable videos of any detailer on TH-cam. Thank you. 🎄🏴👏
I have a Sucker towel, and use it regularly. It is the best drying towel I've used. I do two things I do differently, first is to lay the towel down and pat it down to absorb the water, peel it off the spot, flip it and move to the next area - as much as possible I try to avoid dragging. The other thing I do differently is if I have to drag the towel, I do it following the direction of the car: back to front of the panel rather than across the car. In the event of some slight marring, it is less noticeable when following the direction of the car. Anyone who thinks you're promoting a certain towel for some other reason is only denying themselves of a great drying towel.
Brian, as an engineer I find you and your channel to be such a breath of fresh air compared to many of the other biased/sponsored channels. Not only are you very professional and unbiased, but you use test equipment to quantify your findings and give solid opinions with details to support your position. I can't thank you enough for all the brilliant content you provide, it's much appreciated sir! BTW, fellow black vette owner here (C6Z)...
Anyone who is a fan and has watched all your videos. Knows you are truly genuine and have never steered us wrong. But still Haters goin hate, eff them. Thanks Brian.
I have a sucker. Used it on my forester a focus and a bike. Dried all 3 no issue. I am going to get a couple Jrs. Love my Luxury microfibre towels. Hands down best drying towel I have ever used!
Brian, thank yo use much for sharing your real-world knowledge and experience! I'm 52 years old and just now getting into trying to take better care of mine and my wife's vehicles - and an occasional vehicle for friends. I've watched a ton of TH-cam videos over the last few months, and honestly some of them just seem like infomercials for certain products. That's fine, but not having any first-hand knowledge, I don't know who to trust and who to take with a grain of salt. Your videos are consistently of a completely different tone and nature, and I really appreciate that. You've been so helpful to me so far!
I've tried quite a few drying towels over the past 5 years, ranging from absolute junk to impressive. My current favorite is GG PFM. If the two I have ever wear out or lose their absorbancy I might give the Suckers a shot.
Luxury microfiber is the BEST hands down been using mine now for over a year and nothing else Ive tried compares. Spot on Brian I feel glad you have the same thoughts about them as I. I own both Suckers Gen 1 and 2
Question, does a microfiber like one of these type, the softest one gives even also scratches? I mean why the most car cleaners use microfibers if it gives scratches? Why they not use chamois actually? Works also nice but is more work but you are sure that you don't have scratches
The "Dry me a river" waffle weave towels have been my go to for awhile. I've noticed good drying towels are a rarity there's so many out there but I'd say only about a quarter of them are exceptional.
Great video Brian. After using every drying towel that I could easily get my hands only locally, I decided to purchase a sucker towel from Luxury Microfiber. I was not listening to Scott when he said most people only needed the sucker jr!!! So I got this massive drying towel!!! I ended up buying the sucker jr to do most of my cars now!!! Great video sir.
Your intelligence & frank reviews are so appreciated! Love your easy-going delivery & presentation. I've got the Griot's big PFM towel. LOVE that thing!! It dries my big Cranberry-Metallic 2015 Impala LTZ (20" Wheels too!) in short order. I've tried to wring out some water, but never can.....😁🥰 Thanks again Sir! Keep up the sterling videos! Faron
I bought a Sucker Jr mainly because I was cheaping out and didnt want to pay for the full Sucker. As it turns out, I'm very satisfied with my decision not only because it's cheaper, but also becauseI wouldn't want to lug around the full size Sucker especially on vertical panels. The Jr fully dries my car no problem.
I just love the quality of content and the no BS approach to these tests and such. This channel and the forensic detailing channel are both great channels for these type of comparisons and testing.
FYI: Luxury Microfiber is currently running a 15% discount. If you have been holding off on buying a Marolex sprayer because of price, this makes it bit more palatable. I ordered an Ergo 2000 sprayer for my wife to give me for Xmas, and ordered her one of the 36x70 bath towels. I just now ordered 2 of the Sucker Jr.drying towels The 15% discount helps with shipping. What the hey - it's only money!

Nicely done comparison of premium microfiber drying towels. Thanks for all the testing of products you do for your subscribers. These drying towels are expensive so this information is priceless for those of us looking for great value in detailing products.
You hit it out of the park with this video. I was waiting for you to do a video on this. The drying process is a very important part of washing your vehicle. Thanks Brian ✊💎

I have a few of the dreadnaught towels and love them. I normally start on the glass just because I feel it softens the fibers a bit before I go on the paint. Whether it does or if the effect is negligible, I can't say for sure.
he best drying tooweel I have ever used is "The Silverback" by Liquid Elements. It's the only drying towel I have ever used that is great at just laying it on the panel, running your hand across the panel and simply lifting it off. It is also just as great at dragging it across the panel and leaving it completely dry. It will do a large car completely without having to wring it out at all.
Brian: "I'm going to use my C7 here as the guinea pig." C7 Vette: "Oh, nooooo! Help !" All kidding aside, I love the video. I'm so glad to know about the Sucker drying towel from Luxury Microfiber ! Thank you.

What is the best way to wash a drying towel. I’ve had a few over the years and after awhile they all seem to stop absorbing water. Thanks for the review. I’ll be purchasing the sucker Jr.
Brian, great video. There is so much "mystery" ( for the mjority of consumers, and pro's just starting out) behind the design and quality of microfober towels, the nap/ weave, high pile, low pile, dual sided, foam core, yarn selection Chinese vs. Korean ( I'm hearing that gap is closing, if not equal with the right manufacturer) the attribute list seems to be longer than your arm, so much to know, even the Physics, dirt has a negative charge, micrifiber positive, microfiber also release dirt quickly. What about chemicals how they react and release with Microfiber, I'm sure it's different, for compounds, waxes, sealants, IPA on towel used to remove polishes. Anyhow not expecting answers here, as scenario is quite involved, just food for thought, and the possibly of lots of video content, though something tells me you have a couple of life times if content you could produce, and anything detailing. The one item that touches every surface, though every stage of the detail, and next to no one explains it. Thanks for being humble and helping all of out.
I used the Griots PFM edgeless drying towel, their largest, my technique is to take a garden hose, trickle the water over my vehicle, it makes the large droplets and those small droplets cascade off the surface, now the vehicle has less water to be absorbed by the towel, my black 2017 Chevy SS has been Ceramic Pro 9H coated, I'm very satisfied with this towel, thanks for ALL you videos, I learn tons from them.
I bought a zwipes auto 669 from Amazon, $5 and it SUCKS, literally! I can get around my full size lesabre and it holds water man! Awesome cheap and effective drying towel!!! It just works! But seriously, if you need a couple towels to dry a car, SO BE It. People shouldn't have to over think this process! I know there are differences in towels, however but the towel I just mentioned is cheap and effective. That second towel looks more like a buffing towel, remove wax and things. Good video though. Thank you.
I have the Chem Guys Woolly Mammoth and I'm not happy at all with it. Is the Luxury Microfiber Sucker still your go-to drying towel? I ask because this video is a couple of years old.
Awesome video!! Yes we want 1 towel to dry a whole car, with just going over a section once. i got the CSF Delirium Orange Drying Towel which i will test shortly, if i dont like it, i will try the suckers which seems to work great as you say. I dont wanna be messing around with 4 towels and wringing all the time, time is money and i dont want the frustration either :) But i guess we are like minded in this. Love the microscope footage which gives us a better understanding whats happening and how they perform.
I use the rag companies twisted loop, Im sure its just about like Scott's towels. They look the same. I usually use 2 of them to dry the Mustang. Just personal preference. You do have to be damn careful how you wash them, I either used warm water or forgot to turn the heat down on the dryer once and all 5 of the ones I washed quit absorbing water. I may give Scotts towels a shot
Morning just wondering if you’re still using just watched this video the other day noticed it’s a year old and wondering if you came across any new microfiber towels or if you’re still using Sucker/Jr ? Thinking about getting them Have an F150 2019 would love too only use one drying towel I currently use the the double twistress 20X24 from the rag company first heard about them watching Pan the organizer also that’s how I found out about you’re channel For most of the time I do use a blower to dry off the truck. Thank you
Brian would using a rinse aid or wet wax stop your towel from being as absorbent, even after washing? Because fabric conditioner does I wonder if these would do the same.
Awesome video Brian with useing the microscope camera really shows the difference between them. When I stepped up with the quality of detailing almost 3 years ago. Forensic Detailing Channel was one of the first channels I started to follow. He did that massive mf drying towels comparison short after that. Then I think that is was 1 or maybe 2 drying towels with the twisted loop nap mf weave on them. I got the winner in that test the Liquid Elements Silverback XL drying towel. It's a plush split weave mf weave with a 70/30 blend of microfiber 1200gsm. The amount of water this towel is able to hold is just crazy. In the he tested the drying towels to hold water and had not so much of drying to do with it rather dunk it in a bucket and pull it up and when it stopped dripping he weight it. Just above a gallon of water is this able to hold on to. You feel this when you use it but it's starts streaking way before you get a gallon of water in the towel by just drying with it. Works great as lay out and pull and best with the padding drying. So those with a very soft finicky paints this is what I would get and use the padding drying technique. Don't know who was first with these twisted loop nap mf weave drying towels but Gyeon Silk Dryer Towel was one of the early ones I think. The way how these drying towels soaks fastly up water there are no comparison to them. And combo that with their ability to hold on to the water before it leaves streaks or starting to push around the water is just amazing. I have the one sided version of this towel from Sonax and other no-name versions. Depending on the LSP sheeting ability from it when rinsed after the wash and the amount of water you are going to be soaking up varies a lot. I don't mind switch to a fresh towel mid way. But understand when time is money for a detailer to have them to work with no wring them out or switch to a fresh one. Would be very surprised if they are able to be developing a mf weave drying towel that is more effective than the twisted loop nap mf weave drying towels.
So you are showing a "one pass drag" with no pressure, for lack of a better term. But the surface still requires "buffing" to eliminate residual moisture, correct?
Great video! A question: which to use for buffing a quickdetailer? I used one from soft99 and king carthur and both left fibers so it looked like glassfibers on the paint wich was annoying
I am a dyi for my own car. Can the sucker Jr be washed and reused? I normally by a bulk pack from autozone or Walmart. I only use once to dry, then that towel will be used for wheels. Then used to check oil or clean engine. I am not sure if towles can be reused.
YOUR favorite drying towels?

I have a couple dreadnoughts right now but I don't care for using a towel unless I absolutely have to. I perfer to use air by all means...
I have the Sucker Jr and it’s one bad mutha...👍🏻🤘🏻
I was using the woolly mammoth but it leaves to many fibers on the vehicle.
Great video. Thanks for the quality, unbiased review and comparison!
With the right towel...It shouldnt.
