It was a lovely ride, and nice to explore new areas. It's nice to dress up and look smart, but what surprises me most are the number of people who don't wear any protective clothing. Things can still go wrong on these rides.
I once contacted DGR to be part of the DGR day. I was asked what bike i had. On hearing i had a Harley i was promptly told no! Nice a! So never again will i offer my time/money to the clearly pompous, discriminatory DGR.
Hello Mark, my first DGR was 5 or 6 years ago, and I remember this being a thing then. It took me by surprise because surely raising money for this cause is more important that what bike a person rides. I imagine they got a lot of backlash as I haven’t seen that rule anywhere since. There are points throughout the video where you can see Harley’s riding in the group 🙂
@TheBritishMotorbiker yes, you are likely right. I think it was 2-3 years ago when i contacted them. It may of been that particular event organiser I spoke to that had a thing about Harley's. Anyway, it's not a big deal, just a tad disappointed at the time. Ride safe an all rhat, not that there is much riding today!🌧
Those side cars are incredible! And a Metisse too, wow
Aren't they just! I've always wanted to have a go in a side car 🙂 Ah, was it a Metisse? Great knowledge, buddy.
Yay! So happy for Tuesday vid treat ☺️🔥

The wine red Commando at 11:10 is the acme of bike style.
Acme, what a brilliant word! I agree, it was so eye catching.
Enjoyed this one a lot, especially as I couldn’t come on the ride as pillion 😫🫶🏻
I know. I'll do it on my own bike next year so you can ride as pillion 🥰
Nice video, love the old GPO postie bike. Think that’s what the telegram delivers used to use.
It was so eye catching! Pop pop popping along with a leather hat and goggles probably.
Nice to see bikes without radiators.
Indeed!
Nice day for it. Always wonder about the folk that didn't get the memo and just turn up in std riding gear on adventure/sport bikes..
