  • Awesome owner of a 1994 Toyota Supra RZ Alex, let us do a comparison video of his Supra and my 1994 Toyota Supra TT USDM model. I really enjoyed making this video because finding the difference was entertaining and informative.

    Rear wipers are flipped too. JDM tailgate seems to have the rare cover. JDM rear bumper will have a huge cut out. Active spoilers were standard on UK and Euro specs and are black by default, they also came with the scoops and had diff coolers. It's nuts the amount of little differences they had and the amount or rare features some never came with. I think the USDM version looks best.

    The JDM version has a '98 steering wheel. And there is an airbag lol.

    I have an RZ 94’ supra and mine came with the twin turbo caliber brakes it was an option on the jdm models! And mine came fully loaded with full leather seats and power side mirrors

    I'm a little late to this, but fyi the oem floor mats were discontinued years ago.Those are worth a TON of money now, especially if they're sealed and unopened. Whatever you do, make sure those are taken care of.

    Fun fact hard top is NOT more desired.. that’s why they didn’t make as many in the USA..
    And as of right now for desire. I have been told folks in US want a hard top more and folks in Europe want a Targa more.. but that just seems like because in Europe they made waaaaay more hard tops vs targa and USA was the opposite lol.
    In my personal opinion I would much rather have a targa top.. because in theory it is a hard top when installed. Plus you have the option of having something a little better than a sun roof!
    And my personal observation of being on all the Supra pages on Facebook and groups. Most folks are looking for a targa top in the USA.
    I know for me it didn’t really matter but I leaned towards targa since I had a solid roof before this one.

  • @jstsmslovenc92
    @jstsmslovenc92 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    No, you're not crazy. Side markers on the front bumper are dark orange on jdm models, usdm have orange ones. The facelift models have side markers on the front bumper instead the fenders. There are also slightly different shapes between JDM and USDM side markers.

    • @DriversTherapy
      @DriversTherapy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I could be wrong but the USDM models did not have motorized fold in mirrors. I think that was an option for the Japanese models. Thank you for watching the video.

    Surprised you missed the biggest exterior difference in the side skirts and rear spats on the jdm model. The wipers are reversed and another thing to note my jdm 93 rz came with cruise control factory. Oh and on the temp dial you have Celsius rating vs Fahrenheit on usdm

    JDM is better

    • @DriversTherapy
      @DriversTherapy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Weaker turbos, smaller brakes, and a lot of other missing features that USDM cars came with. The U.S. market at that time was the main customer for Toyota and they make the Supra for the U.S. market better and charged more.

    • @Tommyblueeyes
      @Tommyblueeyes ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DriversTherapy The brakes were upgraded and as an option on '95+ JDM Supra Rz....to exactly the same as the USDM market. The '94 JDM in ur vid has the series 2 front bumper for some reason (with the bar across the Grill)...The Euro Supras were even better than the USDM. I like Hardtops so the JDM/Euro is for me.....Upgrade the turbos and injectors and hey presto! Or just leave stock...AND as you stated yourself...There is a whole lot of mess going on near the firewall of the USDM..Not to mention the JDM is the TRUE Supra....It was made there after all...I'm Australian so we only got the JDM imported here..(right hand drive of course) Also, The JDM supra series 1 you could get an airbag steering wheel or the tri spoke non airbag at that time....
