Though this was months ago, you still do the same shit..You have it bad cutting folks off Cam.. it bothers.. less of that and less about yourself Everytime you cut them off please and thank you
This was a great interview. One thing…an important thing. She shared her testimony about her father’s last breath. Heartbreaking. Cam…as a host…you should respect moments of vulnerability like that…by letting that moment breathe. Stay silent for a minute. Don’t just rush in, with a ridiculous question, to get past the discomfort of those moments. The discomfort is what makes us human. A brief moment of silence…is how we offer grace🙏
This is a great interview. I’m glad she shared her story to help others. I’m glad her son is doing great as well no matter what he’s been through. Not allowing the past to define who you are in the present!
Yep. Her story is so rare, that kids and young people need to know that drug dealers exist. They have not seen this story a million times. It will be so helpful..it won’t glorify it at all and lead an entire generation into drugs and crime. We will have many more Doctors and Lawyers because terms like “Queen Pen” don’t glorify it.
@marcelmarshall4240 very well said l so so agree with everything you said and how it was said ❤ , I never saw this story it was very touching maybe because I been here and l never want this again. Stand up to all my sisters black blue white whatever to all my sisters one😂❤🎉😅😢😊one love 2023. Count down 2024.Joan Lemon
OMG she’s a real one not just beautiful but a great inspirational woman. I saw her interview with Vlad-TV. Nothing but love and respect for Brandi! ❤❤🙏🏽🙏🏽
I knew Brandi's parents, family and she has really paid her dues and is the truth! I love her like a niecey and wish her & her family nothing but the best!!❤❤
i don't support women who put their kids in a position where their kids don't have fathers in their lives, making kids with drug dealers usually end up with this type of outcome.
My nana passed away from Alzheimer’s her body forgot how to function and she helped raise me so I know how Brandi felt watching her dad decline. You do have to find the good moments and joke with them to keep the mood high and continue to make memories it’s heartbreaking for your love one not to recognize you sometimes.
I respect your interview skill Cam, dope interview. I appreciate Brandi sharing her story, its a lot of inner city girls who have this life that never will be able to share it.
WOW! Talk about community service. Talk about giving back! These people are saving lives in a way no one else can. May they be blessed beyond belief. I don’t even think they will ever know how and who they are reaching. I got a lot from hearing how Miss Brandy has looked at and struggled with her guilt and shame. What a story of redemption. I have a lump in my throat listening to what this woman is now putting down for people to pick up. She is making moves and changing lives. I would love to see a book or documentary done on her life now. The interview was inspired. Cam I’m a new fan. Loved how you made it possible for all this to come to the light. You are being used and are making a huge impact on a forgotten and neglected portion of our population. You are saving lives.
Back then women can get married at 14 at the earliest having babies at 16 and living a full life. Alot of women did that for a better life cause alot of them that married early didn't have a high school diploma.
Yess! I am thee biggest fan of Funky Fridays and Cam, this interview was amazing. It felt like you had one of MY family members on the screen with you! Blessings to y’all! 🫶🏽💯🫡
Its always amazing to me when i hear women talk about their fathers and their father were actual fathers even if they did something wrong. Theres always a level of love and respect in their voice vs women like me who had a father but he wasnt a father. Its just a difference in word choice and tone
No matter how he took his family he was a real father. She was put in the best private schools and graduated with a degree. He loved her and schooled her. Most people fathers are around the corner and don't even speak to their kids. Her father did what a real father does he was married with kids and provided and loved his family
This was super emotional. 🙏🏽 Really great conversation and I didnt know her before but now I do, I have nothing but the most respect for her and her family.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 excellent interview and story. She for sure gives inspiration. She made mistakes, she stands on them and made all the necessary changes to be better. Just a litter advice from someone who’s been through something similar, give your son a little more time but please figure out a way to talk about it because any situation big or small can bring out what he’s holding in.
So its Friday January 12th 2023,and I've been binge watching all day ,every interaction was epic this is my 7th episode today ,Mr Cam Newton i Love ,Love Love ,everything about every episode, continue ❤ 💯
Unless you were brought up in that environment you will not understand her perspective of how she sees things but shout out to her for learning the life lesson early enough to where she can still live a decent life Before old age because I watched my daddy pass a similar way
I met Brandi while we were both on our "vacation" from the free world. She was a down to earth person , who was kind to everyone. And someone who knew she was gonna come home a better person for her son , and family. Brandi had some hard times in there too. But she held it together. Love you Brandi
It's amazing and something that I watched this on today. It was released 7 months ago and today ironically, Debron flipped from Texas A & M to South Carolina. Go young man, go! We can't let the cards we are dealt in life dictate the journey! No matter what trials, he kept the faith and pushed. -1 Love
I have truly grown to love cams interviews and him keeping it funky for the masses 😂😂 but I’ve been playing catch up watching all the videos I ain’t see yet ❤ we love it here And I loved Brandi’s story 🥹🎉❤️
It would be interesting hearing the Cons of this life from the "King/Queenpins" perspective. Like...yes you had the Rolex, Denali etc but tell me about the lives destroyed and your repayment to the neighborhood?
The cons from her perspective is the effects it had on her immediate family mainly her son. The ones operating at that level don’t experience the direct hand to hand effect. The cons would be her and all her partners going to prison for crazy stretches of time. She IS a con of the life. So much of this goes on in every city in America. Her pops lifestyle just affected two generations after him. God bless this woman for making the decision to break the cycle
Such a message to the messagees! Everyone's story doesn't define them and everyone don't make it out and flip the negative to a positive. Gorgeous interview
Why do people especially us black people not understand that if you sell drugs you will end up dead or in jail? Why isn’t it understood jail is where should end up for poisoning your own communities.
It’s very impressive how she supports her son and his football. She puts in a lot of mother time, which is brilliant. I hope she has a good man in her life that compliments her revitalised and inspiring new life.
It's a blessing to be able to have lived to do the time or to tell the story although I'd nvr say a word. I'll never look back to the insurmountable odds of coming out alive from it
Great interview and I understand what the were talking about when the spoke on older men marrying/assaulying young girls but by the time they were born, grown men dating girls was frowned upon. Now make no mistake, drug dealers have always got a pass for degenerate behavior if they got with young girls from less fortunate families and everybody turned a blind eye for money.
Me and her had a similar life experiences. Far as our dads life styles and the way we acted as teenagers and the standards our daddy’s set for me in our lives. It’s so true that it’s a blessing and a curse. Hell that’s why I’m single now 😂
I love how she has evolved through all of the trauma that her dad has subjected her and her family to. But not for his actions, she would not have been put in situations and gone through what she has.
I want to thank Cam for being able to show America the things that inner city families go through however as being a man she drop jewels even for a man to adapt to to be a better man for his kids in family as what she went through is remarkable and she a great teacher keep up the good work. Thanks again GOD BLESS YALL.

Wow I love her story, now Im about ot go to BET and find that story. She is a Beautiful person inside and out and I never heard of her until now. This was great.
Damn it's crazy how she sounds completely differently than when she was on Vlad. She sounds hood as heck here but tried to sound very professional and clean on vlad. Lol. She probably feels more comfortable on Cams show than Vlad. She's also very cute
Seriously can’t get past them trying to justify pedophila, doesn’t matter the years or times.. a 31 year old with a 16 year old is unacceptable!!! And he belongs in jail
Too bad the young street guys dont get to see this and see there is real trauma to all they do. I am finding myself feeling very sorry for her and her family but I have to pinch myself there are bigger victims in all this, the people affected by drug addiction, familys broken up, the violence that comes with it, jail time etc. It is sad people only think about now and not much about the implications of what we do and how that can impact the future in a major way. I assume when she says she brought someone into her life so I am assuming that is the father of the son. But how can she out all accountability on that man if her own father was already engaging in drug activity. I think it just reflects how we forgive or excuse bad behaviour from those closest to us, it is human nature but still terrible none the less. This was real educational. I am from Africa and some countries are started to grapple with heroin that is shipped from Asia to Europe and now some stays in country and our people who were never used to drug are getting affected and crime rates going up. Its a vicious cycle.

The way we glorify drug dealing and dealers is crazy especially for black people. It literally ruined our communities, and we haven't recovered yet.
The age gap was sickening and still sickening
Thank you but it's her Dad 🤷🏾♂️ So I guess it's okay
Exactly, no excuses
We really need to step our vocabulary up.

The vocab being used is fine.
The problem is that people still use "proper English" as a baseline for intelligence when it's not.
