I don’t normally watch videos in one sitting but Brandi tells a story of strength, betrayal and redemption so well I felt compelled to listen. I applaud her. Her story needs to be told to the young girls who think the game is glamorous. Hell, 50 get her to have a role on BMF… she LIVED it.

Her mom made a decision to actively co-parent WITH Brandi and not just for her. I can see how that alone probably played a huge role in all of their lives from then on out. Her mom didn’t have to do that but unless she wanted to raise another child for the rest of her life that’s what she needed to do. It showed her son that she absolutely is his mom regardless of where she is. 💞

I've been a caregiver to 2 different dementia patients. Alot of times they wait for all off their children & loved ones to come say goodbye before they pass. Love hearing her story and seeing how strong she is.
I was the black sheep and also my Grandmothers favorite, when she was in her last days she wouldn’t let go until she seen me, the next day after I went to see her she passed away😢 but she wasn’t leaving until she seen us all.
I believe this 100%. I seen it with both my parents waiting to see all of us before they passed. My mom even held on until my ex husband came to see her and then she died less than a week later. He was the only person she hadn't saw from when she got sick. Then he finally came to see her and then she died. It's crazy to me that they can hold on like that.
As my grandfather said " if everyone put their problems on the table, you're glad to pick your own back up".. Great story, best of luck to you and your family 💜

I'm from Detroit and the sad part about her involvement with BMF and other drug dealers in the city was how people like her was excited by the drama of drug dealing as she and others like her glorified selling drugs as you can tell by even now, as she speaks about it very fondly, when she was continuously surrounded by death and destruction and as, the murders followed along, with poisoning the Black community with the drugs they sold and how I also, witnessed a whole lot of pretty girls just like her, killed senselessly because, of mistaken identity as they thought they were targeting their boyfriends that were the actual targets to be executed, as a lot of these girls were killed because, they were caught driving their boyfriend's vehicles. Today, Detroit is a shell of what it use to be, as urban blight has now, claimed large sections of Detroit's residential neighborhoods largely because, of how drug dealings and drug users devastated Detroit's Black communities.
I get what you're saying but they were young and lived that life and had to learn from it. She's been held accountable by law so no point in continuously punishing her she's just telling her story like everybody that had to learn the hard way.
@@stonieblancoOh Yes, there is a point in continously, punishing her for a few reasons, one is you don't have to live with the devastation done to Detroit's Black communities, the many lives that were lost either, directly or indirectly from her drug selling, the many people whom became drug addicts, the many families that were destroyed by gun violence and drug addiction because, of the impact of her drug selling in their communities in fact, I think if she were really remorseful she should go back to Detroit and help them with rebuilding those communities that she helped to destroy also, and more importantly I didn't see that she was at all remorseful to selling that poison to her own people and in their communities in fact, if you go back and look at her facial expressions during her interview you will see how glowingly, she talks about her involvement with the drug trade as her facial expressions don't give the impression that she's regretful or sorrowful for the harm that she caused in Detroit however, she has sympathizer's like yourself, whom has forgiven her for the many lives she has either murdered because, of her drug dealings or she got them hooked on the poison she sold in their communities. I think, you like most men whom agrees with your sentiments, you all keep looking at her physical beauty as a way to forgive her for all of her past transgressions however, I forever live with the "Pain" and "Sorrow" from the communities she purposely helped to destroy. I think you must learn to look beyond her physical beauty and look at the devastation she caused as we are at least 20 years past her experiences with the drug trade that Detroit has yet to recover from.
Was just in Detroit, visiting one of my clients sites, and I'm from Memphis. My city has went to hell too. But the sheer number of abandoned homes and properties stuck with me. It truly made me appreciate home, and realized how blessed we are. Don't get me wrong, the Detroit people are awesome. Once they realized I was from the South, they just covered me (sort to speak) immediately. I was at the hotel, and I was joking with one family and told them once she got done cooking I wanted to taste some Detroit soul food. That beautiful woman brought me a plate soon as she got done, even tho I was joking. It truly made me smile. The next day, I cooked for them so they could receive some good southern soul food. I was up there a month, and I never had a bad experience. But to get back on topic, I truly feel like yes, we should put some of the blame on the drug dealers, but I also lay blame on the users and the CIA too. No one put a gun to a user's head. They choose to do that instead of healing and coping from their trauma. They coped by getting high. The car factories started leaving one by one, foreclosures started happening left and right. It was a downward spiral. Yes, our people helped destroyed our community, because they was young and dumb. The CIA helped them get it into the US. They wanted black communities to fail, because they knew/know our voices are powerful. They know we can sway elections, they know we can cancel people with the quickness. I truly feel like a lot of these people that sold drugs, do try to turn their community around once they get their head on straight. I've talked to so many old heads that have regrets on what they did, and what gangs were supposed to be doing. Which was supposed to be protecting us, instead they failed and turned on us. Started killing their own kind. They never thought it would grow to be what it is now. The kids now are so lost and it's sad. The people that could help, the govt won't let them out. So the cycle continues unfortunately.

When she said she’s a realist, I felt that so hard. Not many are realists.. but it helps you a lot in life to be, especially in the streets. I am so happy that Brandi turned her life around. I just wish it didn't have to take such a drastic lesson for her to learn and get it. I do agree with one thing she said, you think you've been through a lot until you hear someone else's story who have been through way worse. I tell people all the time, when you are going through something, there is always somebody going through worse.

I'm from Detroit and the sad part about her involvement with BMF and other drug dealers in the city was how people like her was excited by the drama of drug dealing as she and others like her glorified selling drugs as you can tell by even now, as she speaks about it very fondly, when she was continuously surrounded by death and destruction and as, the murders followed along, with poisoning the Black community with the drugs they sold and how I also, witnessed a whole lot of pretty girls just like her, killed senselessly because, of mistaken identity as they thought they were targeting their boyfriends that were the actual targets to be executed, as a lot of these girls were killed because, they were caught driving their boyfriend's vehicles. Today, Detroit is a shell of what it use to be, as urban blight has now, claimed large sections of Detroit's residential neighborhoods largely because, of how drug dealings and drug users devastated Detroit's Black communities.
I get what you're saying but they were young and lived that life and had to learn from it. She's been held accountable by law so no point in continuously punishing her she's just telling her story like everybody that had to learn the hard way.
@@stonieblancoOh Yes, there is a point in continously, punishing her for a few reasons, one is you don't have to live with the devastation done to Detroit's Black communities, the many lives that were lost either, directly or indirectly from her drug selling, the many people whom became drug addicts, the many families that were destroyed by gun violence and drug addiction because, of the impact of her drug selling in their communities in fact, I think if she were really remorseful she should go back to Detroit and help them with rebuilding those communities that she helped to destroy also, and more importantly I didn't see that she was at all remorseful to selling that poison to her own people and in their communities in fact, if you go back and look at her facial expressions during her interview you will see how glowingly, she talks about her involvement with the drug trade as her facial expressions don't give the impression that she's regretful or sorrowful for the harm that she caused in Detroit however, she has sympathizer's like yourself, whom has forgiven her for the many lives she has either murdered because, of her drug dealings or she got them hooked on the poison she sold in their communities. I think, you like most men whom agrees with your sentiments, you all keep looking at her physical beauty as a way to forgive her for all of her past transgressions however, I forever live with the "Pain" and "Sorrow" from the communities she purposely helped to destroy. I think you must learn to look beyond her physical beauty and look at the devastation she caused as we are at least 20 years past her experiences with the drug trade that Detroit has yet to recover from.

Was just in Detroit, visiting one of my clients sites, and I'm from Memphis. My city has went to hell too. But the sheer number of abandoned homes and properties stuck with me. It truly made me appreciate home, and realized how blessed we are. Don't get me wrong, the Detroit people are awesome. Once they realized I was from the South, they just covered me (sort to speak) immediately. I was at the hotel, and I was joking with one family and told them once she got done cooking I wanted to taste some Detroit soul food. That beautiful woman brought me a plate soon as she got done, even tho I was joking. It truly made me smile. The next day, I cooked for them so they could receive some good southern soul food. I was up there a month, and I never had a bad experience. But to get back on topic, I truly feel like yes, we should put some of the blame on the drug dealers, but I also lay blame on the users and the CIA too. No one put a gun to a user's head. They choose to do that instead of healing and coping from their trauma. They coped by getting high. The car factories started leaving one by one, foreclosures started happening left and right. It was a downward spiral. Yes, our people helped destroyed our community, because they was young and dumb. The CIA helped them get it into the US. They wanted black communities to fail, because they knew/know our voices are powerful. They know we can sway elections, they know we can cancel people with the quickness. I truly feel like a lot of these people that sold drugs, do try to turn their community around once they get their head on straight. I've talked to so many old heads that have regrets on what they did, and what gangs were supposed to be doing. Which was supposed to be protecting us, instead they failed and turned on us. Started killing their own kind. They never thought it would grow to be what it is now. The kids now are so lost and it's sad. The people that could help, the govt won't let them out. So the cycle continues unfortunately.
