Wendy and Lisa and Fruit At The Bottom were great albums from beginning to end. That first album, I just love the vibe that they were on. I love me some Wendy and Lisa.
Loved this album. Satisfaction is such a cool song, I swear there was a video 4 it. Their sound on this album & Eroica seemed like the precursor 2 Sheryl Crow's 1st couple of albums & that Lois L album that Prince was involved in.
Like I commented on the previous video, this is the Wendy and Lisa album (cassette) I still have. I agree with your take 100% on this album and on W&L in general, especially on their sister's vocals. I guess it's hard to break out of the shadow of Prince but at least they got an Emmy for their other endeavors. I'm looking forward to The Dream Factory video! Keep up the good work! ✌
Was Fruit At The Bottom released domestically in the U.S.? I was thinking the copy I bought on CD of this album is an import. This is my favorite album of theirs.
Fruit at the bottom is not better than their debut. Those two albums are uncomparable. The debut is a healing album after all they went through with Prince. Fruit at the bottom is a more pop album that is more record company driven to get sales and sound more contemporary.
