@@simpletora7313 I'll need to get deadman switch. Microphone is BY FAR my favorite dredge addon. I wish that I had enough to use it every match. A detail that I see a lot of people overlook is that the locker slam isn't just about spooking survivors. You can observe the lockers slam while teleporting around the map. If you keep your eyes peeled and notice a locker slamming, then you can teleport directly to someone with your 2nd teleport, or better yet make a quick detour to the locker in question so that you arrive near the survivor with teleport 3 so that you both can precisely see their aura and do a quick 360 to take notes on what the other survivors are doing. You can see this in action at 8:55. The shack locker slamming was a tell that somebody was near shack. It's because of all this information that I personally disagree with Otz's comment about not just teleporting to find the survivors for risk of finishing the third teleport too far away. While I do agree that just haphazardly burning three teleports to do an aura scan isn't usually worth it, there's more information to be tapped than that. I think a combination of locker slams potentially revealing survivor locations combined with game sense and taking care to listen for audio cues while in mid-transit can let dredge patrol the map very quickly and get more value that he would have gotten trying to preserve the teleport cooldown.

I find plaything pentimento to be especially powerful on dredge because of the massive manueverability during night allowing for you to light all 5 at once or multiple while the survivors are paranoid and uncertain of your actual movements.
Yeah but....how do you get them to cleanse totems? Plaything is a lot less effective on him cuz he makes loud sloshing noises or loud locker banging noises to show he's approaching
@@poissonsumac7922 Undying And Devour also works. And I can tell you that even tho Dredge does a ton of sound, at least 2 survivors every match are going to clean plaything anyways.
Dredge is very under-rated. Being able to get across the map after hooking someone at 3 to 8 times the speed of a of a 4.6 movement speed killer is incredible. Using Spirit Fury + enduring with pop and BBQ is a very solid build for him that always guarantees your chases can be fast, with little to no downtime in-between. Not to mention his power can be used to catch up to survivors mid chase after hitting them
I really love how you see the extra effort of making point of view shots from situations you're explaining. Like the Nea healing at the shack. I really appreciate the extra length you go to do them
I don't have the greatest results with Dredge, but he's just so much fun to play! I love to run builds that confuse survivors to become as scary as possible. I want to believe its more fun for them as well compared to just running four gen-slowdown perks
Been using a build similar to this one, dead man's and stbfl swapped for eruption and darkness revealed. It's nuts how often you see auras with this build
i adore builds like this. The meta is obviously so centred around slowdown perks that it's easy to forget about hyper-aggressive builds with potentially cool synergy - builds like these always make for the most interesting and interactive games imo
I have been running a Plague build using the Iri and common incense add ons, and running the perks Hysteria, Eruption, Overcharge and Lethal Pursuer. Being able to see survivors auras and sneaking up on them because of Hysteria feels so great.
After that video of you making clear your frustrations with DbD, the fact that you can still have matches like these, even if they are probably few and far between, is still awesome to see, a fun build, and two great matches with good survivors!
Dredge is so fun honestly- good add on combo for him personally is broken doll/iridescent plank and a build that I like with him is discordance, jolt, bbq, and bitter murmur cuz I love aura perks too much lol. This way I know where everyone is and keep pressure then during nightfall I can really go after them and get an easy down with the plank's exposed effect ^^
I think Save the Best for Last has surprise scare value in a way. A lot of people don't notice it until suddenly you as the Killer are catching up to them way faster than you should in chase. It adds to the adrenaline rush and kind of goes with the aura reading/no hiding from the killer in a way if you think about it thematically. But also it's just a really good perk as well lol
This is actually really close to the build I use on Dredge. Instead of Dead Man Switch I have I'm All Ears to further increase the value of Lethal Pursuer and baiting at loops with the power
Hey otz , these builds are fun as hell and I accidentally came up with a nice build on Wesker. Seeing that he now has the largest TR in the game, I slapped distressing , agitation and starstruck on him to make his TR almost map-wide in some realms, and with BBQ and his nice mobility it becomes super easy to catch people while they're exposed from across the map. Terrifies the hell out of the survivors and is surprisingly effective against soloq 😂
Honestly, this sounds awesome. Personal recommendation, switch "StarStruck" with "Dark Devotion." You get undetectable and survivors remain paranoid. Dark Devotion makes perks like Spine Chill less effective. I get you using starstuck to not get bs-ed while going to the hook and potentially easy hooks, though
I dont know what they use but when I go against him alot use something that increases his terror radius and expose when in his terror radius when carrying a survivor. Seems op. Got my first untouched against him today though. Hes a damn good killer
Great build, my favourite Dredge build is: Lethal Pursuer, Barbeque & Chilli, Scourge Hook: Floods Of Rage, [4th perk of choice, mine is pain resonance. Darkness Revealed is also a logical choice, but can be quite redundant if you hook people a lot. I found myself barely using the perk, so I took it out] Caffeine Tablets (Reveals aura of locked lockers in yellow) Ottomarian Writing (4 second less cooldown on teleport as long as it isn't dark) It allows you to pretty much know everyone's location during the whole match, like the build in the video is trying to achieve, but on top of that, it'll often show you opportunities of locker grabs. Knowing which lockers are locked not only gives you info of where people are, but also tells you with which lockers you can still attempt a grab and with which it's no longer possible.
I *love* aura perks on Dredge. My default build is Lethal, Darkness Revealed, Floods of Rage, and Bitter Murmur. Worry Stone and Lavalier Microphone are the best add-ons with it, but can be hard to come by at times. But it still works with other add-ons. Like faster teleport, faster recharge, or faster nightfall add-ons. Dredge just gets *so much value* from seeing auras at range. With a lot of Killers "oh, everyone is across the map" doesn't do much, but for Dredge it can get you a down. It's great. I actually prefer DR over BBQ, too. BBQ is nice in that it's essentially map wide every time, less dead zones than DR, but DR has the advantage of being on demand, which I find my useful.
I do really well with Dredge, but I build him a little differently than this. I tend to bring Brutal Strength, Call of Brine, Eruption, and Sloppy Butcher. Addons: Broken Doll and Malthinker's Skull Start of the match: Port between lockers until you find a gen being worked on, and I stay in the locker. This usually scares most survivors off essentially pausing the gen. The goal is to build up Nightfall as quickly as possible, but some good survivors will continue to work on the gen regardless. At this point you need to start a chase and attempt to injure at least 1 survivor. Once you get a hit assess their next location. If they are headed to a jungle gym, shack, or any other difficult loop and immediately drop chase and start port patrolling gens. Nightfall should proc or be close at this point. Once you're in Nightfall you can start applying pressure across the map, confusing survivors, and slowing down their healing with Sloppy. Quickly kick Gens to apply Eruption and Call of Brine. While some groups of survivors can handle the amount of pressure being thrown at them here, most become overwhelmed and start staying injured, resulting in faster Nightfalls.
i madfe a reddit post a while back with a similar build but that leaned more heavily into the aura reading with darkness revealed, floods of rage and gearhead instead of deadmans save the best for last and barbeque. I think it worked better provided i could make the most of dredges mobility to quickly herd survivors and end chases around strong (for me) loops.
My dredge build is normally field recorder + worry stone with devour hope, lethal, BBQ, and darkness reveal or a slow down perk. Very strong early game that can snowball that's always fun
Interesting. This was actually my first build I did on the Dredge. Just wasn't good enough to actually notice/use the Deadmans switch, so never knew if it worked as well as I hoped.
Honestly man the best build on dredge that worked well for me i win most of the time: Barbeque, shine of brine or ruin, bamboozle, save the best for last but well played

Still not very good at using the remnant at loops but Dredge has some pretty fun purple/green addons, that's for sure
the michrophone addon i think it's dredge's best addon, even with the chance to teleport in bad places, you can have information about basically everyone at almost everytime, even if you dont see their auras you can guess where they can be based on areas with no lockers.
I usually use these perks as a go to when leveling up my killers since I don’t have all my perks unlocked for each killer. It’s a fun combo, I don’t usually run DMS or Lethal. Just depends who I’m using.
Dredge is my 3rd favorite killer but some maps are brutal to play. Some of the forest maps and cowshed, he just basically doesn't have a power. And like Otz says, getting downs can be really difficult if the survivors understand his power
Should this game have some indicator when the survivor/killer can see the other's aura, for example, red glowing eyes when it's happening? Aura reading is an amazing and underrated ability, and detecting and countering it during a trial is becoming increasingly difficult the more different ways to read auras there are. It would be neat to have something else than Distortion.
I think this build would actually be better with the Follower's Cowl add-on instead of Worry Stone. Having killer instinct even when not in nightfall is more valuable in my opinion. The Worry Stone is a little redundant as you already have more than enough aura reading in this build.
Best dredge build is stbfl bbq devour pain resonance. Quick chase, information, tp gets you far enough for devour to trigger, pain resonance to be able to stay in chase all the time
I've been saving up for dredge ever since I saw your dissolution video with wraith, I accidentally bought a perk for in the shrine and I'm at 7900 shards. Pain
Sadly a build like this would be tough on twins as Victor can only see the aura of gens...for whatever reason. Still hanging in for a 50 win streak on them!
Best thing is I'm a Dredge main so when Otz started sweating because he had only 1 gen left and no kills I was like "Looks like a typical mid-game to me. Absolutely salvagable" lmao
Just joined up with a new group of survivors on pc, about a week goes by and we run into a rep 47 dredge I've never been absolutely ass blasted as I did that match. Dredge is scary through and through.
I do not use lavalier since it lets them know when i am using powers. I prefer sneaking up on em with nightfall by campinh lockers. The dead man switch tells me if someone is sneaking around which gens. So i set a trap for when they come back.
I don't play DBD mostly because I don't have the money nor a strong enough computer. But I do fantasies about playing it and what builds and killers I would use and I think I would be either a Trapper or a Legion main.
Glad to see you playing one of the builds I sent you! Hope it at least shows you Dredges potential even if you don’t end up liking him much

I made a build that works wonders for me with a similar catch! Lethal Pursuer, Darkness Revealed, BBQ and Chili, Scourge Hook: Floods of Rage
Hope you're doing good Otz, thank you for another banger video
did they ever actually fix the busted aura reading dredge has where it sometimes stops working during nightfall ?
Lastly haven't seen much Dredge gamplay so its so cool ro be anle to get some tips off you
Best thing is I'm a Dredge main so when Otz started sweating because he had only 1 gen left and no kills I was like "Looks like a typical mid-game to me. Absolutely salvagable" lmao
Watching someone playing DBD > Actually playing DBD
I think I'm all ears would be a great fit, maybe replace save the best for last just for the theme sake
this killer looks super fun
Love the dredge gameplay
Just joined up with a new group of survivors on pc, about a week goes by and we run into a rep 47 dredge I've never been absolutely ass blasted as I did that match. Dredge is scary through and through.
I do not use lavalier since it lets them know when i am using powers. I prefer sneaking up on em with nightfall by campinh lockers. The dead man switch tells me if someone is sneaking around which gens. So i set a trap for when they come back.
favourite content creator man!
Using Floods of rage and Make your choice instead of STBFL and DMS is also very fun.
"Hello friends this is Ot--" say no more...
I don't play DBD mostly because I don't have the money nor a strong enough computer. But I do fantasies about playing it and what builds and killers I would use and I think I would be either a Trapper or a Legion main.
You're better off not playing anyways. Not fun dealing with the amount of subtle speedhackers running amok.
