I appreciate the kind words (and reasonable venting) but please don't use this comment section to just be rude to other people. I've seen baffling comments that have nothing to do with the subject of the video and I don't want to encourage and endless cycle of negativity. Thank you!
I understand your frustration Otz. Lately, Franklin's has been a staple perk that I always use as killer. Many blessings and thank you for the great content, brother.
I dont think thats the point. It is more like the heal speed in this game is broken,in some cases. The fact that gens are too fast and easy to do for a primary objective is bad too. And camp and tunnel is still a problem, not a estrategy,a problem
The patience otz has is Impressive. And throughout all of this, he never directly insulted the other players, only the items and perks they used. Good on you otz. (Edit was just to fix a typo)
Otz: "I apologise for being tilted" Also Otz: Displays a perfectly reasonable level of frustration, comments on good survivor plays and generally behaves like an adult in spite of a difficult match.
@@honeypotusername maybe. But streamers look like raging manchildren when they do that live so good on him for being a Saint and a grown adult in front of his audience.
I know he had 3 people on the ground at 1 point, but he still wasn’t remotely close to a 4k. If they survivors wanted to 3 man-out as soon as the gens were powered, they easily could have. Most killers at red ranks only win because survivors become overly-altruistic when the gates are powered.
@@Tommehdouble8 Thats part of the game(actually, thats the majority of pvp games) tho. For one side to win, the other side needs to make mistakes. If they get altruistic after the gates are powered then that allows the killer to play around said altruism.
@@emperorwisel4842 Nah that's like intentionally giving points to the losing team and playing with your food. The match was over with what like one hook state? and they easily could have gotten out with three alive if they wanted to. Game is a joke of a competitive game if the killer with thousands of hours couldn't even get two hook before all the objectives was finished lmao
God, the patience of having an endgame this long would be enough to break me like a third of the way through. The patience Otz has had in order to have no add-ons for this long's astounding in its own right. Props and god bless to this man.
I had a 10-ish minute endgame once as Scartched Mirror Myers, after a 5-ish minute actual game. I just struggled horribly to catch the Survivors during the match, but was lucky to get a down just after the last gen popped and to have a massively altrusitc team who refused to leave anyone behind. So they spent the next 10 minutes hook trading and healing until I eventually got the 4k.
@@Doncroft1 I mean, he already does some videos of interesting perks + addons on killers, it's just that now there's not going to be more no addons streaks
I mean, having 6 years of patience is a considerable feat on its own. Especially because some players tend to get quite toxic and cocky, whether they're the killer or survivor.
@@ranitaratwata The thing is - when I lose as a killer, I either got genrushed or I was worse than survivors. But when I lose as a survivor, most of the time it's not my fault because almost every single killer is just camping/tunneling/slugging. Unplayable.
a lot of times when a streamer says "that won't help" I still have my doubts but when Otz, PHD in DBD, says it won't help he has a 400 page thesis ready to go about why it won't. @@Otgel Styptic becomes useless once the medkit is drained tho' yeah? You have to have charges to activate it. (Could be wrong?) However, Franklins would have negated a handful of those quick heals. It wouldn't have STOPPED it all but it sure would have put a dento in their pimento.
otz, don't feel embarrassed for being tilted. you're still the most calm and positive dbd streamer i've ever seen. really a shining example of how the community should be, and i wish it was. the game is simply designed to make you feel bullied sometimes and it's just not fun!
@@brandonmezzell4921 I'm with you there. The game feels so much more fun when survivors aren't playing to get out of the game in 3 minutes. IMO chasing is the most fun part of the game. So when I get giga sweat squads that bring every broken thing possible and play scummy as fuck I lose all ability to have mercy for a few games.
@@MarkTheViewer The worst part for me is that it pushes me to play broken killers, specifically Nurse. If I'm having a particularly shitty day and then I get bully squads, especially the ultra toxic ones that can't stand not being annoying for 0.01s I'll just play Nurse or some incredibly annoying Killer + Perk combo at least for the rest of the day. Maybe even slug around a bit if I see the next guys are also a bully squad. Then I get those squads that send me the k## acronym, and get my steam page flooded with "-rep dogshit killer, tunnler, camper" as if it wasn't what they were asking for. Theres no winning with these types of players. They don't want a fun and fair match they want to dumpster and bully 1 person that can't or at least won't fight back. The moment you do and it works many of them send you hateful messages... Then others suffer because me and I assume some other killers are tired of all that and go for annoying and unfun builds and play styles as well.
Dbd is a loop of no fun cause I used to be a fair survivor who didn’t really loop and did gens but the face camping tunneling killers these loopers and sweats created turned me into a looper who will probably turn other killers into them
To be fair you did really well Otz. Most people put in that situation would break and rage quit but you kept going and going which is honestly admirable
I mean, he focused on Quentin far too long and ignored gens way too much especially with the dredges inherent map pressure, I don’t think the survivors are really to blame.
This is the type of match that wouldve made me quit dbd for another year or something like that. Otz’s patience of so impressive, to have mutiple matches like these and still keep going
@@verttisyrjala2897 No, basekit unbreakable and finisher mories were only tested on the PTB, they aren’t coming any time soon, they might never come, it was just a test.
The game has systematically changed on several fundamental levels since you began these challenges, several times. The fact that you've been able to play so well all this time, and have only gotten better, is just a testament to your own personal skill. I think it's completely fair to not hold back on addons anymore, because I believe the game is now pretty much fully balanced around the assumption that you will be bringing the best possible kit available. Keep up the great work, and keep your head up!
The Professional Bio: A man of professional greatness, Otzdarva was a streamer for the hit game Dead by Daylight. For years, he's endured the hardships and bugs of the game's constant bugs and imbalance but despite this, he always came out om top. On a fateful stream, things went horribly wrong. From a SWF with powerful medkits to hits that should've registered, Otzdarva had enough. A new side of him has been unleashed and once the stream ended, all his viewers saw nothing but a grey, empty fog with a silhouette fading into obscurity. Otzdarva was gone. Upon entering the fog, Otzdarva knew what he was in for. What's a better stress reliever when you get to play the game yourself with your own power and skill? Power: Intuitive Insight The Professional's knowledge of the game has granted him a headstart in how the game works and how The Survivors think. The Professional's Intuitive Insight comes with three modes: Control, Regress and Pressure Control: The Professional is aware of his surroundings and can choose an area of his choosing to control. Upon controlling, The Professional gains the ability to block off windows, pallets, exit gates, chests and generators within a set area Regress: The Professional is aware of how important progression really is. Upon choosing a set area, survivors are inflicted with the hemorrhage status effect and generators explode, losing 10% of progress and regressing at a 150% rate once survivors let go of the generator. Items carried by Survivors lose charges 10% quicker if they use an item within the area Pressure: The Professional is aware that pressure is needed to make Survivors falter and speed up the process of their inevitable deaths. Within a set area, The Professional's vault speed is increased by 30% and weapon cooldown speed is increased by 20%. The Survivors within the match are now inflicted with the blindess and exhausted status effects for 15 seconds once Pressure is used. Those damaged within the area are inflicted with the Broken status effect once they are put in the injured state after already being downed
Personally I've always hated add-ons especially but also bringing items in. I like to imagine if securing items could be guaranteed but only in game, with values balanced for it. I hate looking up killer info and all of it centers around bombing blood webs for one or two rare or iri, with not mention of a normal playstyle. Same with survivor: rush, secure multiple hits or stay home. It feels good to play in a rare match with no one bringing anything.
I think it was justified when he was doing it before mmr. He needed a bit of a handicap to feel the reward of achieving the 50. But I think now it’s completely justified as his 50 win streaks are very fun to watch and I’m happy to see him attempt it in any way he sees fit and doesn’t discourage him from trying . That and the rule switch to 3 kills = win was a positive one where before it was only a win. If the escapee got hatch.
That's entirely his choice. You can't exactly expect people to play by your own self-imposed rules: deciding to play with no addons is a personal choice that your opponents don't have any way of knowing about or obligation to respect. In the same vein as this, a group of 4 solo's with off-meta perks and no items can't demand to never play against a cracked Nurse/Blight with all the best addons. It sucks, but it also is something that would be at least somewhat mitigated by removing the self-imposed rules
I understand his logic, especially about getting skilled on killers using just base kit but add-ons are there as part of the normal game. I see no reason why they shouldn't be used.
@@stolen_light3751 Bringing that many med kits and insta heals+ unbreakable + adrenaline was the issue my dude. Literal zombie survivors messing up constantly with no repercussions.
There's nothing wrong with being sick of being (literally and metaphorically) run in circles, because you deliberately handicap yourself against people who don't do the same. I'd say as long as you don't forget to enjoy yourself playing this game (and aren't going _too_ far into the "ruthless" mindset), do what you think is right. And yes, that even includes playing other games if you want to - Papers Please, while stressful, showed you in a different situation, which is a good thing to see.
That is insane. After that last gen popped I thought It was over and boom video uploaded, but even then, Otz fought to the end and never once did he insult the players, but rather focuses and questions the insanely powerful medkits that saved them from time and time again (mainly before the last gen, and after when Nea healed incredibly fast) I was in suspense when the third guy went down, but that unbreakable was unfortunate
Yeah, the mobility was pretty clutch most of the times. Chase however was just very easily countered by the adrenaline off the record medkit syringe unbreakable.(Not even counting circle of healing or other stupid shit)
I saw this match live, I feel that. When I first started DBD up at the beginning of the year I also tried to play without add ons to get better at the killers base mechanics. I didn't last long, with SBMM I folded pretty quickly to taking at the very least decent brown add ons into matches. If i'm going to be facing a stack of boon enhanced green medkits and syringes I wanted something I could bring to give me a small edge. Still, props for holding out for so long.
I felt this today when I was only bringing brown add one for demo, then sending me to shelter woods and getting suffocation pit, while all four of them having medkits as well as two of them having boons with hyper focus and prove
Kinda do the same with gen defence perks, but have been sprinkling in some now and then recently. It's just when you get those games where you're holding W for 70% of the total chase time.
Pretty boring and cringe to sweat with nurse in public lobbies with double range and pretty much any perk build (either slowdowns or infectious/starstruck). Otz can do that playstyle with ease.
Querido Otz, tu paciencia y nivel de autocontrol es realmente admirable. Diste tu mejor esfuerzo para compensar esta partida tan difícil y eso merece el respeto de todos. Eres uno de los grandes. Mucho ánimo 🤍
I mean busted medkits have always existed, BHVR didn't buff them recently. I think it has more to do with the prevalence of strong medkits ever since they changed bloodpoint costs. Now every game Otz plays at high MMR will almost certainly have the best items, due to their abundance.
I've never really understood the no add-ons for a difficult goal like 50 win streaks. Add-ons are an integral part of a killer. You can't expect to consistently dominate games (3 kills od more) against decent players without putting them on, that's not how it's designed, at least in my opinion.
Yeah they really made the game too survivor-sided, the dude might actually have to stop handicapping himself if he wants to win 50 times in a row on a mid tier killer.
@@SwiftNinjask Yeah this. People on the DBD reddit kept memeing about the "bloodpoint economy" but I knew what they were talking about, which was preventing people from being able to spam good addons and items.
Being new at the game, I cannot keep up with all the perks, items and add-ons. Nevertheless, I watch many of your videos and this match was inspiring. You obviously pushed yourself to the limit. The moment I realized that you were going for the bleed out impressed me so much. Absolutely amazing gameplay !
Learning perks is the most important part to playing dbd especially as a killer. You'll get the hang of it. You'll learn the meta perks quickly but try to learn the off meta ones as well as it expands your knowledge for both sides.
Honestly, getting a 2k in this situation is nothing short of a miracle, well played. I played a similar match yesterday, Cheryl used her syringe when everyone else was slugged and also had a lucky dead hard (probably auto DH tbh, I swear I've waited for like 5 whole seconds before hitting her) which won them the entire game. It's ridiculous how one item / addon can literally win them the entire game and basically undo all the mistakes they've made. This game really is frustrating sometimes.
This game would break me too otz, since I main killer I just stopped bringing items as survivor because I feel too bad. Props to you for lasting 6 years without breaking though, genuinely impressive lmao.
Otz, you are for the people! You almost won that game like 4 times just for them to have more second chance items and perks, you still getting that two man was miles more impressive then them getting their two man escape
@@cineva-wb1pk He played with off meta perks and no add ons in very high mmr.. Take the same game in low to mid mmr or take high mmr s or a Tier killer with meta perks and the best add ons and then you will understand why some people want second Chance perks. (especially if we consider that the soft cap is pretty low / not everyone plays in an swf /not everyone dedicates thousands of hours into it) Sure in this case they are way too overloaded but I guess they usually run into full meta + add ons+ S or A Tier killers. Things arent always sooo simple 🙃
@@leonthegamer2839 You do bring a valid point, but this only serves to show that the game is even more inbalanced. SWF vs solo, which killer is played, meta perks for killer, the difference between high and low mmr. Survivors bring meta perks and items because they expect it to be a blight/nurse with meta perks. Killers bring meta perks because they expect that kind of team, low mmr don't use them as better, on both sides, and beg for buffs, for high mmr things like this match happened.
In this situation they are definitely second chance perks but in some games they act as a JUST to have a chance perk. Plus killers have strong add ons as well and second chance perks.
Yep you point the struggles out quite well but its not really about balancing. The more you get to the top level of gameplay, even very small things can be abused and look op even though its not op for the majority of the players. (thats why a lot of stuff is band in competitive gameplay) Otzdarva actually said it himself when he said the game is actually balanced in a weird way. It all comes down to how sweaty and tryhard you are playing. Hardcore swf's with 4 bnps are really disgusting to go against. But maybe they get a double range starstruck + agitation nurse. Point is if you are in a chill mode going against a sweaty openent you are usually screwed. The biggest issue for solo survivors is that they cant really decide to sweat (maybe one in the team wants to but 2 others are doing a challenge or meme arround) Like it probably would be possible to create a game like dbd and completely balance it but that would mean. (very few variety when it comes to killers/ very few variety when it comes to maps / more or less take out the rng part / decrease the variety of add ons / way way more time is needed until a new dlc can be launched so that there is nothing tooo strong/weak that possible could fuck everything up. Now that sounds kinda good but also really really boring. Sure you could make it actually a competitive game but I dont think that it would be good for the game. (the amount of competitive gamers isnt that high after all) So in the end I think the game is pretty much balanced. Sure there are a couple of things that are too strong and/or boring (bnp, nurse, blight, toolboxes, certain perks on both sides) but all this stuff goes for both sides which means both sides can be broken asf and they can be balanced asf. Is always depends who you get as an openent. Improving the game health and keeping a certain level of balancing is important but I dont think we really want a 100 % fully balanced dbd game because it would automatically kill the variety of the game as a natural konsequence. And you are absolutly right with the fact that there is still plenty stuff to work on ☺️
It's hard to imagine if they all of them were using Dead Hard :O Honestly, I'm impressed by your ability to keep your sanity even in the most dire games like this, just like a real Otz!
To be honest Otz, I found it astounding that you could play so many games without a single add-on and still do so well. I really hope (even if you implement some add-ons later on) that you have realised how impressed we all are because that's a phenomenal feat. Can't wait to see your next vid
This is a very welcome change. I respect the no add-ons format, but we're at a point where the average survivor is too good for it to work - ESPECIALLY with killers like Sadako, where their add-ons are the literal difference between winning or losing. You see the same phenomenon in all games; if you don't adapt, you just lose.
This reminds me of my 30 minute endgame against a swf while I was playing doctor. I ended up winning by sheer luck, but that game broke me and I am almost scared to touch killer again because I don't want another game like that
The fact you gotten win streaks with no add ons is already amazing, but with the killers you done the challenge with truly marks your patience and expertise with this game. Those achievements alone mean have every right to use add ons when doing 50 win streaks. (In my eyes at least) it doesn’t change the fact how skilled and incredible you are, to put this much effort and learning into a singular killer during a win streak!
It's very frustrating, to the point where I currently feel compelled to carry franklin's demise every 4 games. I'm surprised how calm you've been about these things.
It's also very frustrating to take a brown medkit with my best brown add-ons to a match and lose it completely to Franklin's Demise or just die without even using it to the point i stopped carrying items and just started using Inner Strength 24/7 😂 My games have been way less frustrating since i just started making Inner Strength builds honestly, i get in with nothing and if i die i lose nothing.
The fact that Otz didn't give up until the end and managed this well is amazing💖 I can't believe the people who get angry at Otz for getting frustrated :(
I've been playing a lot of killer lately (I'm a survivor main) and I swear every other match survivors just seem to summon the power of 1000 medics and heal every time I leave them. This topped with dead hard essentially giving them a third health state has been the most infuriating things ever. I have dropped so many chases only for them to heal with a boon or medkit two seconds later and it sucks.
@@eclipscycle Good luck with that one. Even if you finish the current content, you still have future updates to consider. You have one hell of a grind ahead of you.
For example maybe an emergency medkit with syringe and gel dressing should appear to all players in game and pregame as an actual green medkit with a red square and green square for the add-ons. Keep the brown medkits red.
Styptics and syringes just shouldn't exist at all. The same goes for BNP. The advantage that one of these can give is huge but no more so than a really good add on for a mid tier killer like Oni. Put any combination of them on a team though and they're ridiculously overpowered.
my man just went through hell, got slapped in the face twice came back just to get thrown back down and still said gg. otz is just a frickin legend man hands down
its nice to see that even very intelligent killer mains such as otz can have extremely rough matches. It makes me feel better about some of the rough matches I go through where it feels like I cant do anything
The worst part of these games is the rest of the day. You think about it constantly, running all the scenarios through your head, trying to see what you could’ve done differently, feeling frustrated all day. You could win 10 games in a row but if you lose 1 game like this…it lingers.
very true. i main huntress and had a pretty bad match recently, it was an inside map and it felt like every surv knew where i was at all times and gave no room for any angels on the rare occasion i actually chased which was like twice. the worst games arent the ones where you mess up, its the games where you dont know what you can do to improve.
I can completely understand the frustration on this for sure. I haven't had any games like this with the full medkit squads yet but I'm sure at some point I will but I have certainly had games just as frustrating. Hope you get to an idea with the addons and perks you think is feasible. You're such an amazing person Otz and I've learned much from your games. Keep being awesome!!
I'd love to see your opinions and game play of Killers' extremely transformative add ons, like tombstone Myers and chatterer's tooth Pinhead. These obviously completely change the killer from their base kit
Tombstone piece is the sole reason, imo, why they will NEVER buff his base kit. It is absolutely broken and stupid. As a regular Mikey player, I haven't and will NEVER use it.
@@WutTheDeuceGaming Based fellow Myers main. I just kinda wish they got rid of tombstone and then buffed his basekit in a major way. I've had some ideas but I'll take anything at this point
I understand the frustration, but that was one hell of an exciting game. An almost flawless match by the survivors. And an incredible finale with one of the best comebacks I've ever seen in my life. Against all odds, Otz actually made it to the point where he was very close to get a 4k. Until a single perk called "Unbreakable" spoiled all the immaculate work. The fact that he gave everything until the last second was also very remarkable. Most people would have crumbled much earlier against this squad with all those key points in the match (Insta Heal, Mid chase healing, unbreakable, adre plays).
Survivor mains: "Why do people always run Franklin's? I hate that perk!" "Slugging is toxic and you never need to do it!" Also Survivor mains: Hopefully this clip will make people that defend basekit Unbreakable reconsider their choice.
"also survivor mains:" ??? what? they used items in the game that are there to be used? killer mains are so entitled lmao you don't automatically deserve a 4k just for playing well. Sometimes you play incredibly well and end up with a 1k because you got greedy trying to slug and got countered by a couple unbreakables. Sometimes you play badly but the survivors choke and you end up with a 4k because they bunched up trying to get an unhook and didn't reset and heal. That's the point of this game. You can choose 4 awful perks and play against a killer with 4 meta perks and best addons or you can go ultra sweaty perks and end up against a baby killer who doesn't know how to cloak as wraith. People focus far too hard on their worst experiences in the game ignoring the times they won a game easily without even trying due to other circumstances
@@nootnootmf8535 This game is going through what fall guys went through. It was fun when everyone was bad but now since everyone is decent and or good it's no long fun and enjoyable for the more casual audience.
You're forgetting those who slug to BM, like full 4 mins bleedout. Slug to control the game, fine (although it's so cringe the slug to 4k tryharding), but to waste a survivor's time and no way to surrender unless you want to take DC penalty? Yeah those assholes make me wish UB was basekit, fuck we already have to have BT basekit because killers can't resist the ol' camp and tunnel. Sure games like this SUCK for the killer, but it goes both ways man. Even worse when killer decides to be toxic and bleed you out instead of just hook you and end it so you can go next. Franklin's sucks because of item rarity, losing a purple/rainbow item never feels great. If it just took off item charges and didn't make you search for it under a harsh timer or lose it perma I'd be fine with Franklin's. "RIP my item charges, least I won't lose it long as I survive". It'll still be disruptive to medkit/flashlight users.
@@TheLogicalBeast its such insane cope to say that this game in particular was just fine while deriding killers for slugging / tunneling. you're so beyond out of touch regarding high level that you shouldn't even have opinions on the matter. "you're forgetting slugging/tunneling/etc" ok, you can just take Unbreakable, DS, etc to counter that. These survivors with medkits aren't counterable. Otz says in the video "sloppy, franklins, it doesn't matter" "sure games like this suck for the killer but it goes both ways" - yeah, and survivors taking in loadouts like this is way more common at high ranks than every killer slugging / tunnelling / camping with the survivors having no counterplay. "although it's so cringe the slug to 4k tryharding), but to waste a survivor's time and no way to surrender unless you want to take DC penalty?" literally just take the perks to counter this. if you think 4 mins on the ground is a lot, try doing these 5+ minute endgames enough times with killers who can't camp hook at endgame like Bubba. insane fucking cope
I just met your like 2 weeks ago. And stuff. And I thought "Well, he's a rather amazing player" and now I discover you don't use add-ons and I'm like "Wait... What?" my respect that was already at max just shot through the roof. The sheer dedication and somehow managing to get 2 kills from impossible odds. My friend, there were 4 people alive when all gens were completed and you kept them from gates and bled out 2 of them. What the heck? Mad respect, if I ever manage to play DbD I'm totally learning from you.
I don't play too much DBD but that energy at the end of the game matches mine when midlaners picked late game champions during Scuttle Crab meta in league, amazing.
Then there's the problem of the toxic SWF that waits until the last possible second to switch to a loadout with medkits on it. It's happened on more than one occasion from stream snipers. It's gotta be all or nothing for that reason, and Otz usually likes to handicap himself.
@@dandantsm6560 Yeah, unless you're a chase heavy killer with a good map and bad enough survivors, the mori change is way weaker than the base kit unbreakable. Hell, the unbreakable fucking counters it in part by just existing.

Lo lograron. Finalmente la rompieron. Finalmente ganaron. Destrozaron a alguien. Alguien que siempre estaba feliz, que siempre estaba sonriendo. Alguien que no merecía el odio. Alguien que no hacía nada más que ayudar a las personas. Alguien que amó con todo su corazón.
I do want to point out that Killers have just as many insanely frustrating add-ons. I know this video is mostly ranting about the inability to run a no-addon killer for streaks, but I have to point out that No-Item Survivor can be just as obscenely frustrating especially for streaks. Imagine getting a tombstone meyers and just ruining your streak with a free unavoidable kill when he hits t3. It's so boring to play against, but at the same time it's in the game so what are you gunna do. All that being said, I totally agree with you trying to run a no-addon streak with weaker killers like sadeko or Dredge is probably insanely frustrating and warrants a change in rules.
I thought of this rule for streaks: (when u see items in the lobby) 1 item = 1 brown add on, 2 items = 2 brown add on, 3 items = 1 yellow 1 brown, 4 items = 2 yellow, and Mabye you could count Medkits as more or whatever that way it equals out the playing field.
This is why Franklin's is a fun perk to run. You catch survivors who are so desperate to keep their items, they often put themselves in bad positions or just straight up lose because of greeding their own items
Notice how the one survivor with unbreakable saved the entire match in the endgame. Now imagine when the changes go live and anyone can pick themselves up infinitely without Unbreakable. Games like these, where even amazing killers have a slim chance at turning it around on these insanely coordinated teams, are going to be a thing of the past.
@@Doncroft1 entirely dependent on the killer you play, unfortunately. The games balance doesn't revolve around perks and mechanics, its entirely down to busted killers, add-ons and items. The game shouldn't keep getting perk and core mechanic changes, just fucking nerf medkits and op killers
Not *when* it hits live, but *if.* Those changes are not guaranteed like previous ones, it was just a test. People really have several problems with it, which means they probably will, or at least should make a lot of changes with their new MORI finisher and getting up mechanics.

I get Otz is frustrated, but he literally still had 2 kills... without addons... and with survivors having superb build and items. Like this is not even a contest on who won.
Survs were lucky he was running a Dredge. Were he to pull off that level of gameplay with a nurse/blight they'd be 4k'd in 2min. Wouldnt even count as a match, just a slaughter
"Patience is a virtue" - Otz In all honesty otz you're one of the content creators that made me want to play more dbd. love the positivity and content, lots of love man
its still not very good. Unless you're also using something like Coulrophobia, sloppy is painfully mediocre by itself. Even paired with certain things, a powerful medkit will still get its uses. Sloppy by no means makes being injured significant
Sloppy is good if you can interrupt heals, but smart Survivors will adapt to this. It also won't do anything against the 4 Adrenalines and 1 syringe you had in this match. It works best when they DON'T have medkits in the first place.
Sloppy does almost nothing to counter this. You're giving an entire perk slot to make their heals take a couple more seconds. You're better off running STBFL, if anything.
@@cutebutstupid5894 I agree but there were times where he interrupted the healing and Sloppy would've regressed it. But yeah, the Adrenaline and Syringes are still too much for Sloppy to handle.
Holy shit man, that was a fight if I ever saw one in DbD. You did so well keeping them down for a while against all odds, really. As a killer main who is significantly less skilled, it is good to see that my impression of "WTF am I supposed to do against this!?" in some matches is... very justified. There's just nothing you can really do against a skilled SWF group, aside from being severely lucky. Multiple times. At least that's my experience. Maining Onryo maybe also does not help me here. xD
What's your build for her? I'd recommend stbfl, pwyf, darkness revealed and a slowdown, maybe surge. Really works great cause you can just vamoose to a TV when you see the obsession, getting a LOT of use out of the locker reveals....USUALLY.
@@Klausinator451 Call of Brine, Eruption, Nurse's Calling, Save the best for last. I kick gens a lot, I never shared the apparently general consens that kicking gens is wasting time. Especially not with CoB and Eruption. It works great for me. Also, with Sadako I rely heavily on teleports to just build condemn, so I can spare the time because I mostly do not even attempt to chase unless I know right away I will be successful fast. I play heavily hit and run, I am happy as a clam when everybody is running around wounded. Nurse's helps me with finding them while they spread condemn (Ring Drawing) and either downing them, condemning them or at least - and that is more valuable than man seem to think - just interrupting them, wasting time while kicked gens regress. Their resources deplete in no time, boons are flushed quickly or can be abused to teleport to them over and over etc. They are so busy trying to get away and heal up, they have no time to return their borrowed video tapes in time and then one thing leads to another. Stbfl is a logical choice for an M1 killer and she benefits greatly from it. I might try a build where I exchange Nurse's Calling with Pwyf, the speed boost would sure be nice to have to actually end chases - which is what she sucks at of course. A "must have" addon, unfortunately, is the Iridescent Tape. Without it, your ability to teleport just gets destroyed and then she is useless. It's hard work playing Sadako successfully, but so very fun and rewarding.
As you said in the video, these strong items cause problems for most killers except Nurse and (imo) blight with his op addons. These two clowns are the reason why so many things are unbalanced and idk why it's taking so long to make changes to them so that things can be balanced properly.
Because the devs are stupid and instead of listening the players they see their stupid numbers. Low mmr/ rank 20s cant use nurse and blight and that is why their killrate isnt that big. So they think they are fine
These two killers are not the sole reason medkits work the way they do. As if they would keep these strong just for 2 out of the 29 killers, making them absolutely busted against the other 27 killers. Your hate for them is clouding your judgement. Seek help. These two killers are not unbeatable. Much rather deal with those two killers than have to deal with all these medkits. Medkits are fucking disgusting.
@@WutTheDeuceGaming Hello?? I have only played Wesker since he came out with a few games of trickster and dredge.

Otzdarva, The Killer
@@fortherng3847 Otzdarva as a killer? Hm alright
The Professional
Bio: A man of professional greatness, Otzdarva was a streamer for the hit game Dead by Daylight.
Power: Intuitive Insight
The Professional's knowledge of the game has granted him a headstart in how the game works and how The Survivors think. The Professional's Intuitive Insight comes with three modes: Control, Regress and Pressure
Control: The Professional is aware of his surroundings and can choose an area of his choosing to control. Upon controlling, The Professional gains the ability to block off windows, pallets, exit gates, chests and generators within a set area
Regress: The Professional is aware of how important progression really is. Upon choosing a set area, survivors are inflicted with the hemorrhage status effect and generators explode, losing 10% of progress and regressing at a 150% rate once survivors let go of the generator. Items carried by Survivors lose charges 10% quicker if they use an item within the area
Pressure: The Professional is aware that pressure is needed to make Survivors falter and speed up the process of their inevitable deaths.
The Not-Not Otzdarva has been summoned forth. No amount of item tributes shall quench his mighty bloodlust. Repent, the end is nigh!
This was OTZ using more than 1% of his power for the first time, and I loved it.
Seeing you here gave me a blast to about 2016.. damn.
Getting these kinds of matches is so rare, but way more fun than item/addon spamming matches.
What’s the reason not to bring shit, u literally spend so much bp for it so just sit there? Hell nah
i have like 100 hrs on dbd and i havent used a single item or addon lol. i just dont want to lose them idk
Never used an item, they look great sure, but I lose them after match so no.
Ive always thought you not using add ons is unjustified exactly because the survivors can still bring items.
@@stolen_light3751 bro he never said he expected him to play like that or anything about making that choice for him lmao. What are you on about
I understand his logic, especially about getting skilled on killers using just base kit but add-ons are there as part of the normal game.
It was bound to happen, props to managing to keep your sanity this long.
The scary part is that dredge isn’t a bad killer, he’s quite balanced. Imagine how poorly this goes with lower tier killers.

I've never really understood the no add-ons for a difficult goal like 50 win streaks. Add-ons are an integral part of a killer. You can't expect to consistently dominate games (3 kills od more) against decent players without putting them on, that's not how it's designed, at least in my opinion.

Otz, you are for the people! You almost won that game like 4 times just for them to have more second chance items and perks, you still getting that two man was miles more impressive then them getting their two man escape
And there are survivor mains who still complain that the second chance perks don't do much and want the devs to make them even more OP
@@cineva-wb1pk He played with off meta perks and no add ons in very high mmr..
Take the same game in low to mid mmr or take high mmr s or a Tier killer with meta perks and the best add ons and then you will understand why some people want second Chance perks. (especially if we consider that the soft cap is pretty low / not everyone plays in an swf /not everyone dedicates thousands of hours into it)
Sure in this case they are way too overloaded but I guess they usually run into full meta + add ons+ S or A Tier killers.
(thats why a lot of stuff is band in competitive gameplay)
Otzdarva actually said it himself when he said the game is actually balanced in a weird way.
The biggest issue for solo survivors is that they cant really decide to sweat (maybe one in the team wants to but 2 others are doing a challenge or meme arround)
Like it probably would be possible to create a game like dbd and completely balance it but that would mean.
(the amount of competitive gamers isnt that high after all)
So in the end I think the game is pretty much balanced.
And you are absolutly right with the fact that there is still plenty stuff to work on ☺️
It's hard to imagine if they all of them were using Dead Hard :O
Honestly, I'm impressed by your ability to keep your sanity even in the most dire games like this, just like a real Otz!
I ended up winning by sheer luck, but that game broke me and I am almost scared to touch killer again because I don't want another game like that
A veces me siento re mal cuando pierdo muchísimas partidas seguidas así, luego miro que a ti tmb te ocurre y se me pasa jaja

I make those noises in my head every killer game I play... Constant agonised screaming. Thank you for the superb content though!
The fact you gotten win streaks with no add ons is already amazing, but with the killers you done the challenge with truly marks your patience and expertise with this game. Those achievements alone mean have every right to use add ons when doing 50 win streaks. (In my eyes at least) it doesn’t change the fact how skilled and incredible you are, to put this much effort and learning into a singular killer during a win streak!
ngl when i saw this dredge game live i was praying and hoping you won that you did so well
It's very frustrating, to the point where I currently feel compelled to carry franklin's demise every 4 games.
I'm surprised how calm you've been about these things.
Yeah I would’ve been cursing at devs like they took a giant turd at my front yard
Otz literally says Franklin’s doesn’t work against this during the match.
*every game*
It's also very frustrating to take a brown medkit with my best brown add-ons to a match and lose it completely to Franklin's Demise or just die without even using it to the point i stopped carrying items and just started using Inner Strength 24/7 😂
My games have been way less frustrating since i just started making Inner Strength builds honestly, i get in with nothing and if i die i lose nothing.
@@CPhelps1247 And how would it not?
That match was really stressful to watch, I probably would have gotten 1 or no kills, you did amazing!
that was genuinely the most stressful thing I’ve ever watched
To be honest, that s one of the most paintful match i ever watch. U got an insane self control otz. keep up the good work
The fact that Otz didn't give up until the end and managed this well is amazing💖 I can't believe the people who get angry at Otz for getting frustrated :(
I've been playing a lot of killer lately (I'm a survivor main) and I swear every other match survivors just seem to summon the power of 1000 medics and heal every time I leave them. This topped with dead hard essentially giving them a third health state has been the most infuriating things ever. I have dropped so many chases only for them to heal with a boon or medkit two seconds later and it sucks.
Ascend past health states and just play an instant down killer. Primarily Hillbilly and Bubba because why not.
@@smtmonke Ghostface is another great pick
@@smtmonke jokes on you I have to play ever single killer for multiple matches. I’m trying to get every achievement in DBD
@@eclipscycle Good luck with that one. Even if you finish the current content, you still have future updates to consider. You have one hell of a grind ahead of you.
@@smtmonke I have 6 left and I’m just waiting for the next chapter to add 4-5 more
We need a way to differentiate items. Textures for the medkit type and for strong addons like Styptics or Syringes.
I get maybe a few minutes after the match but the whole day? Lmao bro go touch some grass
The whole day? What ere you? A competitive player? If a lose, I lose, and next game 🤔

Haha what?? If you’re serious about this, there’s something wrong, dude. Seek professional help.
now imagine this with basekit unbreakable :)
Now, imagine that match with Terminus.
Considering the LEGENDARY patience and composure otz generally displays, think how this kind of thing must feel to other players.

We will still support you no matter the game you play.
This was the most intense game of DBD I've seen in a while. Well played, Otz.
Survivor mains: "Why do people always run Franklin's? I hate that perk!" "Slugging is toxic and you never need to do it!"
Also Survivor mains:
Hopefully this clip will make people that defend basekit Unbreakable reconsider their choice.
Otz says in the video "sloppy, franklins, it doesn't matter"
"sure games like this suck for the killer but it goes both ways" - yeah, and survivors taking in loadouts like this is way more common at high ranks than every killer slugging / tunnelling / camping with the survivors having no counterplay.
This is how Nurse mains are born.
I know this one frustrated you but watching you manage that team at the end of the match was very impressive, even with only a 2K.
I don't play too much DBD but that energy at the end of the game matches mine when midlaners picked late game champions during Scuttle Crab meta in league, amazing.
I feel like a fair rule is if the survivors bring items you can bring add ONS and depending on the amount of items can decide the rarity
Then there's the problem of the toxic SWF that waits until the last possible second to switch to a loadout with medkits on it.
It's happened on more than one occasion from stream snipers.
It's gotta be all or nothing for that reason, and Otz usually likes to handicap himself.

Well to be fair, using flashlights feels kinda bad now, so I expect more survivors to bring medkits and toolboxes instead
I thought of this rule for streaks: (when u see items in the lobby)
1 item = 1 brown add on,
2 items = 2 brown add on,
3 items = 1 yellow 1 brown,
4 items = 2 yellow,
and Mabye you could count Medkits as more or whatever that way it equals out the playing field.
It's going to be literally busted in the survivor's favor. Killer comebacks will cease to exist.
@@Doncroft1 entirely dependent on the killer you play, unfortunately. The games balance doesn't revolve around perks and mechanics, its entirely down to busted killers, add-ons and items. Yeah, playing bad killers is going to suck, but playing against broken killers sucks no matter how many times you can take yourself off the ground. The game shouldn't keep getting perk and core mechanic changes, just fucking nerf medkits and op killers
Except they're not actually adding it lmao did you forget this?
Not *when* it hits live, but *if.*
Those changes are not guaranteed like previous ones, it was just a test.
People really have several problems with it, which means they probably will, or at least should make a lot of changes with their new MORI finisher and getting up mechanics.
@@b2superbattledroid977 It's part of a test for a future patch, they didn't say it wasn't going to get added as we already know they plan to do the Mori rework. It's still a massive fucking problem and you'd be ignorant to ignore it.

@@haiz768 love when a survivor main tries talk about skill issues. You guys have it easy lol.
This entire video is the reason why sloppy butcher is underrated ASF
its still not very good.
Every killer I'm facing nowadays has sloppy butcher, I audibly sigh whenever I see it lol

I love otz tilted is calm and analytical while my tilting is screeching and uninstalling 😂❤
