All of this was really good advice!! I’m not really dysphoric, at least I don’t think I am. I’m nonbinary, and I’m trying to look more masculine/androgynous. This video gave some great advice!
If anyone needs help with male-feeling hobbies, I got two for ya: playing the bass guitar (or drums, normal guitar, just bass feels proper bad ass dude to me) and skateboarding. It's just the most euphoric thing ever to go out boarding for a bit, plus a confidence boost since boarding is cool :D
What helps me (pre-everything.) Wearing a binder, men's clothing and having a “masculine” hair cut makes most strangers read me as male, but then I also have an endocrine disorder called PCOS, so the excess androgens I've had since puberty (and most likely in-utero) are a *huge* help too; I have a stocky & muscular build with a big bone structure and fairly narrow hips *(great for men's pants.)* I'm only 5'1'' but, I'm not too worried about my height because my dad's pretty short too (although those shoe implants are intriguing.) The genetics lottery could have just given me my mom's height, but *noooo* 😄My hobbies/interests traits have always leaned towards the "masculine" side of the spectrum, even as a young child. *Otis is one cute pupper!*
For the shoe thing, I'm not kidding, really thicc trainers will make all the difference. I don't know what it ios, but big, thicc trainers just makes everything look more masculine. Also dark clothes, and collered rugby shirts.
idk if anyone will see this, but even if it only helps one other trans bro, i look upwards while i change, look up in the shower, and face away from the mirror when i take a shower. it might not sound like much but it accually helps me a lot to just not see my boobs.

Today after 6 months of waiting I have finally got my technoblade hoodie (they usually are that slow I just had a few extra obstacles) and it’s so baggy and makes my chest look almost completely flat! I love it:)
To anyone who can use transtape, it helped a lot for me. Binders were great, but covered a lot of my chest. Seeing my full chest with transtape really relieved dysphoria

I don't know if dreams should be taken that seriously but I wanted a dream to prove that my parents are right and I am a girl, but in my dream I had a portal that leads to my room and it was just a small pink play kitchen that I could only put my back pack on. I don't want to sound invasive, but I'm a cis guy who's 26 and at the end of his gender journey. What I mean is, I've gone through years of questioning my gender and wondering where I fit, and I've come to the conclusion that I'm just simply a cis male. But still... it never feels like I'm cis enough. I never feel masculine. I feel like I'm out of range to be considered that. Yeah... I think the max amount of time I had with a pair was almost 3 years. It’s never enjoyable getting “fitted”, especially when shoes have gendered sizes :/

@Justus I first asked my mom since I was a minor and she said she would get it for my birthday (she ended up not getting it),. Jump a year from that moment and I asked again and so she got it for me for my next birthday. She just sent me the money and I paid for it with my card. I have always picked “boy” - even on my first video game, Pokémon Red on gameboy. I think I may have picked “girl” on one game at some point because I didn’t want my mom asking about it. I played a lot of games that had a gender option (and a lot that didn’t)!

Whereas picking to be a “boy” you could continue playing after getting married. We have all known how sexist the video game industry is, whether deliberate or not. It’s wild to think developers have gone this far in the past. We’ve moved forward in the game animation field from that sort of thought process, but not by much to be honest

@Blind Whimsy good questions! Definitely varies from person to person. However, it also varies by what dosage you’re on. That’s why it’s super important to get an endo to properly determine how much you should start on. They’ll also be able to tell you about when things start to happen based on your dosage. Being on an average dose probably leaves you at max 6-12 months before your period stops. Facial hair is a bit different since it has a lot to do with genetics too. Some people like myself have genes that just don’t grow much facial hair even if I were born cismale whereas others can grow a full beard barely on hormones.
