3:01. I loved this point. My boyfriend called me out a couple of months ago about receiving. It’s in my nature and personhood to want to just give, give, give, but I forget that it hurts the other person when you don’t receive. He said “Why don’t you ever let anyone just take care of YOU?” And I thought “Man- I e never thought that this is something that could hurt him (my not being good at receiving).” I’ve since kept this in mind and it’s made a major difference. I’ll sit back more and let him do things for me because he really wants to. When I deny his giving it hurts him. I was so happy he said something. I wouldn’t have known otherwise.

What do you and your boyfriend do in intimate moments? I guess better question, what are couples before marriage allowed to do?

@@thegbeast17sparke85Catholics generally follow the rule of no or very limited physical contact. Its not inherently wrong to hold hands or kiss the other person, but we believe that even though it is not bad, we should restrain from these actions as something’s we can get carried away and might commit some form of fornication. Personally I think hugging, holding hands, and just a small kiss are fine but making out and stuff like that is definitely wrong. We also hold this belief because you never know whether or not your bf or gf is your future husband/wife so you should save all those intimate actions for your actual partner rather that loosely giving it away to any one you find attractive.

Excellent points. I have never heard of that word "reciprocity." Love what you both said!

Does anyone have a reference to a good explanation of well-ordered desire?

How about if your husband is a narcisist?

Sometimes we have to set our own boundaries when a spouse is not fulfilling their obligations to protect us. There’s nothing unchristian about that. Finds marriage friendly therapist and take care of your heart - it’s not selfish. It’s not selfish to not all the other to persist in objective sin (subjectivity is between them and God).

And cease being in communion with the Catholic Church, the mystical body of Christ and bring the fate of eternal hellfire upon one's self? That's a foolish idea, heretic.
